While I loved seeing and hearing the young Moodies at the Isle I love even more seeing them older and reflecting on it. They were never a publicity seeking band. They delivered a special blend of music that touches the ears, hearts and minds to this day and beyond. Thanks for the posts.

I've seen the Moody Blues several times in the late '70's and early '80's. But what I see in watching videos of them performing live through the years is the audience. They are smiling, laughing, crying, dancing and just enjoying the Moody's perform. That's all any band can hope for.

Just like Justin was telling the person who filmed this---I am also so glad that he did and then took the time and effort to make a movie. I have also have been on this magical trip with the moodies over the years. Their music is a part of me now and yes flower power was a real thing as one of them said....because its the way I lived my whole life - always treating others with kindness and love...and I will till the day I die. Its so surreal now listening again to Graham recite that poem, "old people wish they were young" - Yes I sure do lol.....but I have the moodies music with me while im still alive. Thank goodness for the Moodies. RIP Graham and Ray.

What a treat to see this. I've seen the Moodies live - in concert 30+ times and I can attest to the fact that they just sound better every year. Everyone should see them at least once. The Moodies are a treasure.

I do like Graham´s reflections, at the end. We have taken that magical time with us, and yes, the human race is still screwed up, but we can make an Effective effort to MAKE THINGS BETTER!
    Loved the original recordings, records.
Must have had an Influence: I became a Scientist, later an Educator, and now an Author.
The Love and Peace is still overriding the darkness, and we, always will come on through.
    Live just a . . .

To know this band is OUR band after being with them since 1967 is a wonderful feeling; it is Flower Power, everlasting and beautiful. You really had to be there then to fully understand.

The enlightenment we all shared in our youth at the time was this exact sentiment - the “trees gentle voices” spoke to all of us to save our planet and you guys gave them a voice for our “children’s children’s children”

Saw them at Celebrity Theater/Phoenix in the 70's as a young man...saw them again in Minneapolis in 2010 as an old guy...brought tears to my eyes in a sense of gratitude for being there for me throughout my life.

I've always felt that Love is & has been the Moody's tone in all their music. From Go Now to Seventh Sojourn it been about Love. If we can learn to love one another than therw can be PEACE in the world 🌎🌍

one thing I always appreciated about the Moody Blues is when they performed, they really seemed chuffed to do it. I know that they likely had bad days, prob had their spats, etc, but when I saw them I could imagine after the show them giggling to each other and saying "wasn't we great?"

You are wrong my friend. The Moodys are still touring and still sound fantastic. Don't let age create a barrier to listening to great music. It would be great to see Mike Pinder with them again one more time. I saw an interview with him recently and he's still active in music and is a truly spiritual and intelligent guy.

I was a bit young when the Moodies stopped for a while. I was well seeped into their music but their time passed, or so we thought. Then Octave came out and they toured! I finally got to see them and I wasn't disappointed. 4 more times including the shows with an orchestra, once with front row just off center. I've always wished I'd had seen them with Mike but I'll have to be satisfied with what was available.
I'm older now but my grown kids all know the Moodies and now my granddaughters are learning the music. Along with the Grateful Dead, Pink Floyd, Jimmy Buffet and The Beatles.

Sadly with Ray Thomas passing away and Graeme announcing (I've heard)that he can't handle the touring any more, this year is their last tour together. John and Justin are doing separate Cruises next year instead of together. I so wish I could have seen them once in Concert...they are in Vegas in September and October..

Occasionally off key. The mellotron, too. Overall, it must have been a wonderful experience! They did get better, to the point of perfection, with age, just like a fine wine!!!!! I would argue that they were/are better than the Beatles!!!! RIP Ray!!

Hi moodybluesgurl! I take from your comments that you're a Lodge Lady like I am? I adore the man! In his prime he was the sexiest man I've ever seen. I had 100's of MB pix on an old pc that is all but lost now. Had several pix of him shirtless or in swim trunks, circa the 70s and 80s. Try google and good luck!
