Season 3 really held promise for his growth and potential as a character and its a shame it ended the way it did for him and how the show somewhat forgot his existence later on.

Agreed. This role instead was given to Tyreese, who was the one that lived a lot longer after his comic book counterpart death. Tdog just started the whole "kill the black guy" trope in the early seasons of TWD
@gamewriteeye769 I think it was the right thing keeping Tyreese and not having his comic death since Tyreese at the time was a quite new character and him saving Judith made alot of sense since it showed that he was a very humine and kind person for people until he either views them as a threat or they get on his bad side, Kirkman admitted he regretted killing Tyreese off he felt like Tyreese could have had more potential
The absence of T-Dog and Dale was immediately felt after they died. But Sudden deaths like this were what made the older seasons so compelling. It felt like nobody was safe.
Yeah, from a writing standpoint that made absolutely no sense. It was the real chance for T Dog to shine and see more of him as a character. And knowing Merle would likely re appear again, the drama and stakes from the two would’ve been so fun to watch. The interactions in the prison would’ve been great. Instead, we got Merle mentioning him in the beating of Glenn and that’s it. What a shame
I totally agree that T-Dog was underutilized. Ironically, he was killed just when he was starting to be featured a bit more. Unfortunately, his death was instantly overshadowed by Lori's death later in the same episode.
I heard that was because he was less motivated to show, as the production wasn't giving him any lines. He hardly had anything to work with, just relegated to the background.

People always talk about his sacrifice to save Carol which is awesome amazing way to go out, but we gotta shout out him relocking the gate. That's what got him bit in the first place. Without T-Dog doing that the group would have been in some serious trouble. He doesn't get enough credit for that. Also not only does he not have a reunion with Meryl but he died in the same episode as Lori. Which overshadows his death. Even though most fans probably liked T-Dog more than Lori, story wise Lori's death is super important which further leads to him being forgotten. Not even Carol carries his torch. Just a shame.
I seriously hate how he's never mentioned directly once after S3, I expected Glenn to mention him since T-Dog literally saved him at the start of the outbreak or even Carol, but no. T-Dog felt like that one character everyone can relate to one way or another in the show, he's just your average guy who does the right thing, dies a heroic death and is never mentioned again...
Yeah, pisses me off that Glenn mentions Andrea in the one scene instead of T Dog. And Carol literally never bring it up that he saved her. Felt like the crew just didn’t care much, which is a shame considering they knew him for nearly a year
I feel like T-Dog could've taken Tyrese's comic book place as one of Rick's "top guys" before the Governor attacked the prison, or maybe taken Dale's spot as the humanitarian of the group until he was bit and had his leg eaten by the cannibals since Dale went out really early in the TV show. I don't know, though.
In the earlier seasons when a new black guy shows up, that meant one of the main cast bkack guys was going to die, or if they die before a new black guy shows up, you know a new black guy will show up. I know it wasn't the intention but once you notice it you can't unsee it. 😂
I always remember the Season 3 promo/trailer thing and it cuts to IronE Singleton saying something like "we're gonna be seeing a lot more of T-Dog this season"... Dies within 3-4 episodes. Always bummed me out as he was probably my favourite character even with limited screentime. Although he was barely in Season 2 I did like what was shown (Scene with Daryl, Convo with Dale, part of the squad that kills walkers around the farm and the finale where i'm pretty sure he's the one keeping Lori n Beth safe). Great video as per usual, really enjoying them👌
I would love to see a video about Axel, one of the inmates. I honestly wished he would have lived as he was an interesting character. Heck Andrew Lincoln advocated for him to live and become a series regular. I really liked his interactions with Carol, as they were comedic and it seemed like she was mentoring him in a way.
wasted characters (not enough development, didnt fulfilled their potentials): T-Dog, Tyreese, Noah. and crazily enough they have the same background: they're black characters, and they died or will be dead and replace by another black character(s), i see this back to back to back before the Savior arcs, and then suddenly pop culture change, we need more minorities and therefore we start seeing sudden raise of Asian characters, and then gay characters, and finally a specific religious character start popping out.
@@CrustyPlaysYT Bob appearance was short, but he's actually done well, he lacks original story tho, but using him to show a character fighting an addiction before and after the apocalypse (in his case alcohol) put him in that well presented character category, at least for me. @@syad911I can understand what your saying but my only problem with Bob is the pure fact that he is in the show to be eaten by the cannibals and die as a fill in for the fact that Dale was supposed to die that way it just does not sit right with me that they introduce this character solely for the purpose of filling a comic death. But I do agree I really liked Bob and his character just wish we could have seen more of him instead of giving him a senseless death.
@@CrustyPlaysYT bro wanna talk about senseless deaths ? Beth and Noah, back to back right there in fact Noah was supposed a trade in for Beth, such a BS writing.
There were so many characters in TWD who died way too early. As a consequence, I never really attached to them too much because I always knew they might die very soon. They killed off so many characters from the first seasons which I really hated about the show. Shock value seemed to be more important to the writers than good storylines and character development.
In a way, it’s rather realistic to how we would form relationships in a post apocalyptic setting. With people dying all the time, you can’t be blamed for trying to protect your emotional state by not getting attached to others.
@@filipgaecki5480 That‘s true. But the show deviated from the comics at times and perhaps should’ve done so in these cases as well. I know that there were reasons for killing them off (e.g. in the case of Dale who didn’t want to continue with the show), but it’s still highly regrettable.
@@babytoshiro7014 that's your personal opinion. It made the show awesome imo. Game Of Thrones was killing it's main characters since S1 and was also awesome for that reason.

the actor for T Dog always turned up late to set, so maybe that made him get killed off quicker and not have much of an impact in the story compared to others and why his death may be kindof lacklustre and felt a bit cheap idk. nice video man im really enjoying your vids, also maybe you could set up a discord.
That's what I always heard also. They said that it really was supposed to be Carol that died but they chose T-Dog for that very reason. Not sure just how true that was
@@raylgreen1 that is true carol was meant to be t dogs death. But I’m glad Carol survived up until current day bc she goes hard. T dogs cool n all but he isn’t nearly as good as Carols character imo.
T dog represents all those forgotten season 1-3 characters because back then everyone felt like normal people and not badass zombie slaying warriors yk? T dog was just a normal dude with friends family and a job maybe a girlfriend
I feel like T dog and Tyreese were the same characters in terms of morality. I actually hoped during the earlier seasons that T dog would later stop getting people to refer to him as T dog but by his real name Tyreese since I thought he was going to be an interesting spin on the comic character. Wish he stuck around until at least s5. Or just before Alexandria.
If I was to retcon the story I would remove Tyreese and Sasha from the story and keep T dog and Andrea instead. But they will both share the same arcs as their counterparts.
I would have loved to see T dog and Merle have a reunion in season 3 after Merle switched sides b/c I’m sure their dialogue would have been funny af. I also wish T dog got to meet Tyreese, Michonne, Abe, Rosita, Sasha, Bob, Mercer, Jerry, Eugene, Ezekiel and Negan.
saying a person has "no leg to stand on" because they are talking about a show about zombies being realistic is incredibally short sited because even though the real world doesn't deal with zombies, doesn't mean the real world doesn't have any extreme scenarios at all in which people fail to get closure. it is totally realistic that a character died before his time and before he resolves his stories, because that IS his story.
A big part of shows like this is people dying before they get closure or finish their arc. They're examples of how in a world this unforgiving and unpredictable not everything is going to result in a poetic picture-perfect ending. That is not to say I excuse every poorly-handled death in the show but there is absolutely weight to some of them even if it doesn't seem that way at first.

T dog seemed to fall into team Shane along with Andrea for a good chunk of the first 2 seasonS. He seemed to be onboard with the practicality of clearing out the barn and he was also present when some of the group started doing sweeps to clear walkers from around the outskirts of the farm property - the team consisted of Andrea , T dog, Daryl and Shane (who I assume was leading the mission)
I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks They gave him sum good character development and evolution just to not let it play out but I guess his sacrifice for carol was a testament to his character and how sometimes bad shit just happens to good ppl
Can you do a video for tyreese i feel like he doesnt get enough credit for how well his character is maybe another one like you did for hershal about the importance of a character he was the moral compass for the group and without him judith would have never survived
He is one of the few characters to side with Shane after he busts open the barn halfway through season 2. But this is only mentioned once lol. Could have done something with that but Shane never chooses to use his allies in T-Dog and Andrea, and goes about his plan on his own.
When T dog was died and carol told daryl that she survived because of t dog without any explanation how how he sacrifices his life for others i know that he would be forgotten
Daryl and Merle weren't comic book based either but they gave them plenty of opportunity. You could argue some aspects of Daryl are loosely based on Dwight from the comics but it is still a completely new character that they took the time to flesh out.
Honestly insane with the amount of development and amazing moments he had in such a short amount of time. I think his death was fine, it was the fact that the group acted like they didn’t care. But then I think back to when they thought Carol was also dead, they didn’t really have a big reaction then either. I think the purpose was to show them loosing their ability to even grieve properly
i always loved t dog and im always thankful that they gave him more time than what they original planned for his character which was to only last 3 episodes in season 1 but with his lack of screentime in season 2 and his abrupt death in only 3 episodes later in season 3, they really didn't development his character all that much especially when he was starting to become a core part of the group due to how small the group was in the beginning of the prison. It always boggles my mind that when rick daryl and glenn found t dog's dead body, the incredible lack of emotions was so out of place, sure you can say that they didn't really have that deep of a relationship with him but they have been with him for 8 months before finding the prison and it was only glenn that only truly honored his death while carol did mention t dog saving her, she never really seem sympathetic about it. Then after season 3 no one even mentions him anymore and the worst one was when glenn was talking to enid in the church in season 6, he references dale, hershel, andrea, and tyreese. Why tyreese when they never even had any screentime together. No hate on tyreese obviously cause he was my second favorite black guy in the show but glenn always loved the Atlanta group so him not even referencing t dog instead of tyreese made me feel like they just needed someone to reference 1 major character death in each previous season except season 1. Really tho just imagine all of the things that t dog missed out on like merle's redemption arc and their feud being set aside and forgiving each other, how he would've dealt with the governor and how proud he would have been for the group for taking in the prisoners and later in season 4, taking in all of the woodbury people cause after dale's death, t dog pretty much took his place until he died then hershel took on that role.
I'm aware that they killed off T-Dog early simply because his actor was always late on set. I still would've liked to have seen what could've became of him. It's possible he was set to be the Tyreese of this universe and I could imagine him making it out of the Prison.
While I understand why he was swapped out for Carol (as originally, Carol was supposed to die, but the actor for T-Dog kept arriving late, so he was swapped out last minute), and I'm glad we got Carol and her character arc, it's a shame T-Dog never got a chance to live up to his potential. Honestly, I wish I could live in a world where we got both T-Dog and Carol, and we had both of them survive to the end. And if someone had to die alongside Lori, why not keep Beth's first Boyfriend Jimmy alive and have him be the one who dies saving Carol instead? Or better yet, keep Dale alive for alittle bit longer and have him die saving Carol.
Jimmy (Billy in the comic) survived until the prison last stand so your close. Dale quit do to Amc illegally firing Daramont, Lois actress may have also been written out early for defending Daramont too.
I’m showing my fiancé TWD for the 1st time & I said the same thing, that Tdog wasn’t given much to do cause he was 1 of the only non comic characters around @ the time & they just didn’t have the time to find something for him to do. With Daryl he quickly became a fan favorite, so they always made sure to find things for him to do.
Yeah i was always bummed that T-Dog and Merle never interacted again and I'm watching the show for the first time right now( I'm almost done with Season 8 and about to start Season 9) and i was extremely disappointed that T-Dog died before either he got his lick back on Merle or Merle apologized for how he did him and the only mention we got from Merle regarding T-Dog is when he said he hoped he died slow and in agony and i was like WTF 🤦
Thank you so much for becoming a member, do you have an instagram I’ll follow you on there :) and yeah it always bothered me that they never reunited! Are you watching the show spoiler free if so you have some seriously good bits to look forward too!
And they killed my brother in jail!! 😤😡 your vid just reminded me of that I overlooked it back then when I was watching the show 🤯 That makes his death even worse in my opinion
t-dog was the most chill dude there an I was disappointed when he died... he never really should have. there was plenty of stuff they could have done with him.
I get that Daryl gave insight to Merle that they can no longer live the way they did prior to the apocalypse due to them being more harsh and discriminatory people. If they would’ve kept T-Dog alive, his interaction with Merle (who is another character created for the show), they could’ve explored race relations and conflict with the two characters about how Merle was a racist before but as he grows before his death, he realizes that his beef with T-Dog no longer matters and they become allies for each other, with Merle even saving him from peril.
In this industry you have to show up to set on time. I am into acting, writing, filming as a hobby, and I can tell you, when people shoe up late, it is costly in time, money, and retaining talent. It costs money using grips, stubt men , sound, etc... waiting for people to show up or working past their time
the only thing i have against T-dog is his outfit in his first episode with that hat he looks like for him apocalypse started few hours before rick arrives and it's supposed to be months i know i know they wear their clothes that they took with them from the city but he looks like he was overdressed for that
The group wouldn't have lived if it wasn't for T-Dog. He sacrificed himself for Carol, and if that didn’t happen, then Carol wouldn't have been there to save the group from Terminus.
IronE just brought that real feel to his character. And this guy WAS a main character in season 1. Idc if he was literally on the end credits starring section...he jad literally the 5th maybe even 4th most screen time in season 1.
I would have had T Dog and Andrea switch roles. Have T Dog save Carol on the farm and meet Michonne. Ultimately having T Dog meet Merle and resolve that storyline. Then have T Dog and the Gov storyline where we get to explore the themes of loyalty through T Dog. We then don't need to see Andrea's character be wasted on that horrible Gov storyline she had. Carol is my favourite character however and of the above was to come true, I doubt they would have kept Carol around. I would have also had Jimmy and Patricia live onto the prison, so that Patricia could have met Axel and they would have had an actual story, rather than Axel calling Carol a lesbian and then him getting shot. Jimmy would have had T Dog's death, only he would be leading Beth to safety not Carol.
Remember that prisoner named Andrew who Oscar shot? If Rick checked outside and locked the gates so he wouldn't escape, then maybe T-Dog would still be alive. Andrew is partially the cause of his death because he let the zombies inside the prison.
Another thing that seemingly no one mentions, is how t dog could've helped in later seasons/episodes with the governor for example, T dog is a massive guy and easily one of the strongest characters to be in the show despite not being able to have many opportunities to show off the strength, in terms of fighting in the later episodes and seasons as well as helping to rebuild I feel like he could've been used so well
when i watched the first couple of seasons, and then read the comics before watching season 3, i though T-Dog was sorta going to be a replacement for Tyreese. Because it'd be almost impossible (or very difficult) to fit a comic-accurate Tyreese into the TV show. which is why it's so funny how Tyreese in the show pretty much shows up right after T-Dog dies. When you think about it, TV show Tyreese is one of the most useless main characters in the show. like he does play a pretty cool role when he's with Carol and the two blonde girls and with that whole plot where Carol kills and scorches Tyreese's gf to prevent the Ebola virus from spreading. But all that could've happened to T-Dog instead of Tyreese. yes, that would make Sasha's character a bit pointless but Sasha is just a replacement character for comic-Andrea. and a pretty terrible one too. Sasha doesn't need a dead brother and a dead boyfriend to be a cynical angry bitch throughout season 5 and 6. having a dead boyfriend is enough. And a lot of that crap made Sasha pretty unlikeable and annoying. She should've been more of a badass, like Andrea in the comics. So, imagine if Tyreese and Sasha never showed up in the show. And instead, T-Dog doesn't die and Andrea doesn't die. T-Dog gets with Karen and when Karen gets sick, Carol kills her like she did in show. you need to understand that T-Dog has been with character like Rick, Carol, Carl, Glenn, Andrea, and Daryl since day 1. and surviving this long would've made him among the most important character. Carol and T-Dog where on very good terms. so imagine how much more dramatic the scene would be if Carol is confessing that she killed Karen to T-Dog instead of saying it to Tyreese. On its own, that scene is pretty cool but Tyreese being replaced with T-Dog would've made the whole thing more dramatic. especially since T-Dog would likely be more emotional, yet have the ability to be more understanding with Carol since he knows how Sophia's death effected Carol more than Tyreese. also, I don't know if you guys remember the scene where Rick puts his hand on Ty's shoulder after bringing Judith. this was a touching scene when you think about the differences Rick and Tyreese has had (their fist fight and the fact that Ty fought with the Governor). now T-Dog would probably never fight on the Governor's side unless he was captured and made into a eunuch or something. But that's a bit stupid and an unimaginative story line. the scene would be just as, if not, more impactful if it was T-Dog, because there are many instances that happens after T-Dog's death that would've sparked conflict between him and Rick. Rick is a much more ruthless, cold, fearless, morally ambiguous, and logical man. Whereas T-Dog is emotional, has a softer heart, and is more brave than fearless. so the two would naturally bud heads on some decisions. And the moment where T-Dog finds Karen dead (along with possibly more burned bodies than just David) would be a very dramatic moment where T-Dog would finally snap. And a fight between Rick and T-Dog would probably go pretty similarly to the fight between Tyreese and Rick. Tyreese is much stronger and less clumsy than T-Dog but T-Dog is still a big, stocky dude and being in the apocalypse for a year and a half would surely make him less clumsy and a stronger, harder, and better fighter than in the first episode. And it would also take Rick by surprise, but Rick would likely still win that fight and watching Rick beat up Tyreese would be both brutal and very sad, making the scene much more impactful. now when it comes to Andrea, it's very possible that Andrea would've fallen in love with Bob. Especially since Bob's death is the same (word-for-word) as Dale's death in the comics, which is Andrea's boyfriend in the comics. Andrea in show could go from being one of the more disliked characters to a more badass character and take on a more comic-like role, which would automatically make her a much more interesting character. We don't particularly need show-Tyreese or Sasha in the show. having these two character being replaced by Andrea and T-Dog would make the show more focused on its original characters and it could make the group a much closer and personal one. even when you include later characters like Abraham, Eugene, Tara, Rosita, and Gabriel. If this all happened to Andrea, she wouldn't really have to die in the show because both Sasha and comic Andrea's death were poorly written and were just done because the writers were working with too many characters. but T-Dog would still die at some point. It's hard to say when. maybe he might take Tyreese's death in the show. Maybe he might get killed by Negan. who knows. im pretty sure that after Bob's death, the show would likely take a different path if T-Dog and even Andrea was still alive. and since the quality of the show started severely fluctuating after Bob's death in the show, it's difficult to imagine that T-Dog and Andrea's inclusion and Tyreese and Sasha's removal would be any better since the same things that happened to Ty and Sash prolly would've happened to T-Dog and Andrea. i feel like Tyreese was shoehorned into the show. Sasha is very annoying. Andrea's character in the show is decent but nowhere near as cool as she could've been. and aside from maybe Glenn, T-Dog's character is pretty insulting. especially since he is hardly ever mentioned after his death. I think Glenn is the only one who ever mentions him. and it's only happened a few time. I mean, he's mentioned so little that the wiki doesn't even consider him a main character (despite characters like Aaron, Dale, and Bob being considered main characters).
T dog actor claim that he decided to leave the show because the show was becoming less about the zombies and more about killing humans so he decided to leave

apparently he was fired for being difficult on set and late etc.. which is why he was written out so early. so maybe.. its better off he wasnt really focused on? he would have been gone either way
I have to disagree with it being because he wasn’t in the comics. Look at Daryl, he was also created for the show and they were pushing him to the front from the start. Kinda feels like race was a part of it, killing off the black woman at the end of season 1, T dog having fuck all to do for the next 2 seasons, while killing him off too. I think they knew this wouldn’t be a good look, which is why we got a lot more prominent black characters from season 3/4 onwards. T dog was awesome too, it’s just hard to imagine having him live over carol now. Back then, i’d have happily let her die, but she became one of my favourites by season 4. She became a true survivor!

T-Dawg got the "Being Black in TWD universe" treatment.
How to survive in ✨TWD✨ universe:
Not be an animal
Not be blonde hair
Not be a little girl
Not be black
Not be a background character
In the earlier seasons when a new black guy shows up, that meant one of the main cast bkack guys was going to die, or if they die before a new black guy shows up, you know a new black guy will show up. I know it wasn't the intention but once you notice it you can't unsee it. 😂
Honestly it do be the case tho😂
I always remember the Season 3 promo/trailer thing and it cuts to IronE Singleton saying something like "we're gonna be seeing a lot more of T-Dog this season"... Dies within 3-4 episodes. Always bummed me out as he was probably my favourite character even with limited screentime. Although he was barely in Season 2 I did like what was shown (Scene with Daryl, Convo with Dale, part of the squad that kills walkers around the farm and the finale where i'm pretty sure he's the one keeping Lori n Beth safe). Great video as per usual, really enjoying them👌
Thank you so much I’m glad your enjoying them who would you like to see a video on next?
I would love to see a video about Axel, one of the inmates. I honestly wished he would have lived as he was an interesting character. Heck Andrew Lincoln advocated for him to live and become a series regular. I really liked his interactions with Carol, as they were comedic and it seemed like she was mentoring him in a way.
Really miss T-Dog and was so annoyed how they forgot his death, would love to see u make a vid on terminus though
wasted characters (not enough development, didnt fulfilled their potentials): T-Dog, Tyreese, Noah. and crazily enough they have the same background: they're black characters, and they died or will be dead and replace by another black character(s), i see this back to back to back before the Savior arcs, and then suddenly pop culture change, we need more minorities and therefore we start seeing sudden raise of Asian characters, and then gay characters, and finally a specific religious character start popping out.
Bob was also done dirty but they used him to fill dales role from the comics 😭
@@CrustyPlaysYT Bob appearance was short, but he's actually done well, he lacks original story tho, but using him to show a character fighting an addiction before and after the apocalypse (in his case alcohol) put him in that well presented character category, at least for me.
(he's replaced by Gabriel tho, to keep my original argument above)
The only black character done well is Morgan
He was my fav character since episode 2. I will never forget him. So much wasted potential
I suppose it was one of the first signs that the show would go downhill.
They should’ve made a tales episode based on that character.
I never forgot tdog biggest hero in TWD hands down
There were so many characters in TWD who died way too early. As a consequence, I never really attached to them too much because I always knew they might die very soon.
They killed off so many characters from the first seasons which I really hated about the show. Shock value seemed to be more important to the writers than good storylines and character development.
Many of these death also happened in the comics
In a way, it’s rather realistic to how we would form relationships in a post apocalyptic setting. With people dying all the time, you can’t be blamed for trying to protect your emotional state by not getting attached to others.
@@filipgaecki5480 That‘s true. But the show deviated from the comics at times and perhaps should’ve done so in these cases as well. I know that there were reasons for killing them off (e.g. in the case of Dale who didn’t want to continue with the show), but it’s still highly regrettable.
Earlier season of TWD was nothing more than killing characters for shock value. It became annoying very quickly.
@@babytoshiro7014 that's your personal opinion. It made the show awesome imo. Game Of Thrones was killing it's main characters since S1 and was also awesome for that reason.
redemption arcs are earned, deaths are not.
His wife gave up and he kept fighting to live. To keep the ones he cared about alive. His death gets overshadowed by lori similarly to Abraham when glen died right after
It would've awesome seeing t-dog and merle interaction
The actor was on CPT and couldn’t get to work on time
What is CPT?
I always thought t dog was going to be tv version of tyreese during s1 and 2. Sucks hes not even mentioned much after s3. Thank pimple gimple
That’s what I thought as well.
I also thought that as well as Jacqui becoming an equivalent of Michonne from Comic.
this is the greatest video ever uploaded
Hahahah thank you very much! :)
Glen spoke his admiration of T Dog. He was loved and missed.
the actor for T Dog always turned up late to set, so maybe that made him get killed off quicker and not have much of an impact in the story compared to others and why his death may be kindof lacklustre and felt a bit cheap idk.
nice video man im really enjoying your vids, also maybe you could set up a discord.
Thanks man I really appreciate that, brilliant idea I will have to set one up soon thank you for the suggestion!
@@DoomsDay1661 Well Carol got way more time to turn into a good character but the time of T-Dog death, Carol wasn't that interesting.
I wont forgive amc they killed my dawg T-Dog😢
Yes, I was pretty mad when they killed him off because I was waiting for them to actually use the character, but they never did.
T dog represents all those forgotten season 1-3 characters because back then everyone felt like normal people and not badass zombie slaying warriors yk? T dog was just a normal dude with friends family and a job maybe a girlfriend
What’s sad is after his death Glen says t dog used to go around giving everyone a lift to church and was a genuinely great guy
T dog went from main character in season 1 to getting like 10 lines in s2.
To me T-Dog was the last feeling of the 2000s vibe and the beginning of what the post apocalypse vibe started after his death
Plus I own the same hat he has on the rooftop
I felt like T-Dawg could have been the new Dale. but they didnt wanna spend money on his character i bet.
T Dog felt like the token black character before the cast expanded, honestly surprised he lived so long. Thought he die season 1.
He was a W character
Rip Tdog Rip dale 😢real good souls deserved way better
I would have loved to see T dog and Merle have a reunion in season 3 after Merle switched sides b/c I’m sure their dialogue would have been funny af. I also wish T dog got to meet Tyreese, Michonne, Abe, Rosita, Sasha, Bob, Mercer, Jerry, Eugene, Ezekiel and Negan.
T Dawggggggg it’s been years I’ve been watching TWD I never forgot my nigga. T DAWGGGG!!!!!✝️💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾 R.I.P.
Thanks for showing me how much I didn't enjoy T's story. I was so wrong. R.I.P T-Dog 😔
saying a person has "no leg to stand on" because they are talking about a show about zombies being realistic is incredibally short sited because even though the real world doesn't deal with zombies, doesn't mean the real world doesn't have any extreme scenarios at all in which people fail to get closure. it is totally realistic that a character died before his time and before he resolves his stories, because that IS his story.
This is fiction, he was handled poorly, it being "realistic" isn't a good excuse for bad writing.
great video!I'm a huge twd fan for many reasons(not the walkers)t dogs charecter birthed Tyrese whom is another one of my favorite characters💯him and t dog was great characters in the show!notice how not long after t dog went out he was quickly replaced by the other big black guy Tyrese👏🏾long live twd❤️🎊🎉😊
I kept waiting for them to do something with him but they never did.
Hated when he died literally yelled out in front of my whole family "NOOO NOT T DOG"
Too many people sleeping on Noah.. they should have kept him around
He made a video on Noah
Season 3 felt so empty without a T-Dog vs Merle story.
T-Dog deserved to be in show much longer
Can you do a video for tyreese i feel like he doesnt get enough credit for how well his character is maybe another one like you did for hershal about the importance of a character he was the moral compass for the group and without him judith would have never survived
T dog 2.0
He was a good man who risked his life so the viewers could get to see how cool Carol really was
i always loved t dog and im always thankful that they gave him more time than what they original planned for his character which was to only last 3 episodes in season 1 but with his lack of screentime in season 2 and his abrupt death in only 3 episodes later in season 3, they really didn't development his character all that much especially when he was starting to become a core part of the group due to how small the group was in the beginning of the prison.
T Dog was the realest character
T dog was easily top 3 characters for me in the early seasons hands down
I'm aware that they killed off T-Dog early simply because his actor was always late on set. I still would've liked to have seen what could've became of him. It's possible he was set to be the Tyreese of this universe and I could imagine him making it out of the Prison.
T dog should have at least make it to fight negan and them
They should of gave t dog tyreses early comic book role in that first winter
You would think at least carol would bring the dude up once or twice down the line. I mean he did save her life and all
You're a great speaker, mate!
t-dog was the most chill dude there an I was disappointed when he died... he never really should have. there was plenty of stuff they could have done with him.
His head is truly massive
In this industry you have to show up to set on time. I am into acting, writing, filming as a hobby, and I can tell you, when people shoe up late, it is costly in time, money, and retaining talent. It costs money using grips, stubt men , sound, etc... waiting for people to show up or working past their time
Tell him to show up to set on time 😂
T dog , Dale, Hershel were moral compasses.
the only thing i have against T-dog is his outfit in his first episode
with that hat he looks like for him apocalypse started few hours before rick arrives
and it's supposed to be months
i know i know they wear their clothes that they took with them from the city but he looks like he was overdressed for that
The group wouldn't have lived if it wasn't for T-Dog. He sacrificed himself for Carol, and if that didn’t happen, then Carol wouldn't have been there to save the group from Terminus.
Theo sounds like dan tdm
My favorite character of TWD SEASON 1 WERE RICK, SHANE, T DOG, GLENN, JACQUI
Really dope video…
I heard they killed him off because he was always late for shoots
That’s when the walking dead was good
Remember that prisoner named Andrew who Oscar shot? If Rick checked outside and locked the gates so he wouldn't escape, then maybe T-Dog would still be alive. Andrew is partially the cause of his death because he let the zombies inside the prison.
Great character too
Another thing that seemingly no one mentions, is how t dog could've helped in later seasons/episodes with the governor for example, T dog is a massive guy and easily one of the strongest characters to be in the show despite not being able to have many opportunities to show off the strength, in terms of fighting in the later episodes and seasons as well as helping to rebuild I feel like he could've been used so well
That size meant nothing when Merle was whooping his ass.
I knew T-Dog was dying the moment he gave Rick his opinion and spoke. Using the he wasn't a comic character is an excuse.
@Silk066 He died in place of Carol, and it came down to the actress for Carol convincing them to not kill her off so they killed off t dog instead
@Silk066 He got his ass beat for plot to establish merle as the first "bad" guy
when i watched the first couple of seasons, and then read the comics before watching season 3, i though T-Dog was sorta going to be a replacement for Tyreese.
T dog actor claim that he decided to leave the show because the show was becoming less about the zombies and more about killing humans so he decided to leave
i hated his death i hated iiiiit. I can't believe they only used t dog just to be a soldier that follows orders, like where's the rest of the character? I am just rewatching twd and I saw him die yesterday, such a coincidence your video about something 10 years ago was uploaded, thank you
T-dog underrated
apparently he was fired for being difficult on set and late etc.. which is why he was written out so early. so maybe.. its better off he wasnt really focused on? he would have been gone either way
I have to disagree with it being because he wasn’t in the comics.
