$45k is a joke for this. And it exemplifies the core of the problem with the truck market today. It's seriously fine if they want to charge $80K+ for a Limited with all the bells and whistles, but the "basic" trims need to be actually affordable, not by comparison to higher trims but by what people actually have the money for.
This being almost $50K after taxes and fees means there's really no reason not to just bump up to a decently equipped Bighorn or a base Laramie for a few grand more to get a LOT more nice features and room and power/capability. And they do that on purpose.
If a Laramie is $60K (which is too much to begin with but that's a different convo), this should be $34-36K TOPS.
$35,000 truck. Price is why RAM has well over a 100 day supply of vehicles. Priced them selves out of the market.
I would say more like a $25,000-$30,000 truck!
Living in the past all truck are at that price, point blank get with the times. I know it sucks that prices are this way but is what it is.
All manufacturers have that kinda supply ford Chevy, gmc and Toyota are all that way. go look at the dealership around your area and if they don’t have them on the lot the dealership aren’t ordering them to make look like are selling them like hot cakes all manufacturers sales are down compared to last years numbers look it up
THANK YOU!
LED lights in back but incandescent bulbs in the front ?????
Ram must be getting their designs ideas from Harley-Davidsons builders 😂😂😂
This would be a great pickup for the vast majority of use cases. Looks good too!
So why is this titled 2024 Ram Dakota and it had not being launched yet?!?!?!
I dont think it is a Dakota, it has the same exact style as the 1500. It's probably labeled as a Dakota because it is a smaller version. It's still a 1500 chasis
That is really an affordable Truck an it is a good looking Truck! Great video.
Pretty sharp looking truck, but 51k is still insane. It's a V6 1500. My 22 Silverado HD custom had the same MSRP not even 2 years ago. I think the truck market may be in for more pain because supply is finally up but demand will continue to decrease due to inflation.
its not only the price asking, its the devaluation of your currency. you cannot compare anything with 2 years ago since we are not in the same situation.
@@mysterysolver514 inflation is the devaluation of money, and sure you can compare it. Are wages up as much in 2 years as truck prices... What about 5 years? Add to that supply is back. Car loan defaults are rising. Interest rates have tripled. IMO it's unsustainable and sales will continue to decline. In 2016, I had the chance to buy a new ram 2500 6.4 tradesman crew cab for under 34k. That same truck is close to 60k now. Has incomes nearly doubled since 2016?
Nice lookin Dakota! 😂
I have this same truck 2023 bought back in November, I paid 41ish w/tax, tags, title included, out the door. I wasn't so concerned about the bells & whistles for it's a 3rd vehicle, I have my Mazda CX90 phev for luxury, Bells & whistles, the wife has a Mazda CX5. My point? This is a nice truck for what it is! Priced right for me! We're no longer in 1977 or pre pandemic, EVERYTHING cost more! Price quoted was get this now......MSRP, Negotiate from there!........JB forgot to mention the 1inch lift from the factory.
Nice features for a low end pickup. Way too much money for the basic truck however.
So is it a warlock or a dakota
This is way too expensive, the classic pricing isnt much better
Looks good for the price.
Imagine only paying $50k lol
I hate my rams interior button lights are green and blue but the gauge cluster is white and red…..
45k v6 double cab.. lolololo Stick it Stelantis!
The UAW destroyed the Big Three US Automakers... This truck should be $36k.
15 year old design but they do ride great...
30k truck for 50? E torque? Oh hell no!! 🤣🤣🤣
The funny thing is you can get a used ZR2 or Tremor for 55k under 20k miles
Where?
@@aroundthegroundlandscaping7107 look on cargurus
I had a 2006 with that same 3.7 engine in a single cab and you couldn't pull any thing but a jet ski, it had no power, what joke ram is trying to pull with this pickup.
It’s a bargain compared to how much the 2025 model will be 😂
My serpentine belt is missing 😂
You gotta be on crack to pay 51k for that truck. I got a 23 tundra SR5 with TRD off road package for 49800 plus tax. American companies are a rip off
$15k of that goes to Tesla for carbon credits. Wait a couple years till the EV are gone.
🦾🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🫣
That's not a Dakota
should not be the dakota- its far too big.
NOT a Dakota...
Everything is over priced!
Ram needs to fold up and get out of dodge 😂lol they are pure over priced trash
