Dude that fucking music that plays when you have to hit continue or start over -Ohh my God. So many times I just wanted to listen to it as long as I could and would have to time it right to not start all the way back at the beginning! And so many times I ended up back in the beginning and I would be like “NOOOOOO!” I loved music and appreciated it even when I was a little fel.

I had played this game once when I was like 8 with my cousins. More than 10 years later, I heard "Tree" in the background of an AVGN video, causing me to search DOZENS of NES title soundtracks. Another 2 years later, I'm turning 21 and finally remember this game and "Tree" thanks to this video!"

Out of every Nintendo game out there this is by far the best music out there. I used to love this game. I played it more than any other game. I think I beat it
Before. It’s hard to remember. I remember having to walk on fire. Goddamn this takes me back man! I love it! I wanna play this right now! God I remember all of these musics! When he’s in the cold and the music is playing in the background! Ohh my God man! So much nostalgia. And when you’re running out of energy and you’re almost dead and that music plays you know you’re in trouble. Oh shit! The bees! Dude! Holy fucking fuck. This game’s music was genius. It fit perfectly with the game. Jesus! I remember getting that fucking wond! Oh shit! When you’re in that fucking ice! Oh shit! And when you’re in the trees running around and it’s all colorful! Fuck dude! I love this shit! Ohh my God man! I remember when this music starts playing and you’re getting all those treats! Shit it’s literally been 20 years. Fuck dude. Whoever did this, you’re a fucking genius. I’m sitting here and listening to the entire thing.

Probably my favorite NES game. Difficult (yet the unlimited continues made it easy) yet enjoyable (along with Wizards and Warriors 3). Knives and the throwing axes helped. I remember one stage I couldn't get past without one of the potions (lava stage I THINK you NEEDED pink potion). What's interesting is a friend of mine who's a lot better at NES games than I am could never beat this game and yet I beat this game when I was a kid and I beat it again a couple years ago.

This was the first ever NES game I played by myself nearly 30 years ago. I remember I was at my mom's boyfriend's place and his kids weren't home, so I had free reign of the NES. I had watched them play games like Zelda, Mario Bros, and Gyroscope, but this was my first time playing alone. I picked it up pretty easily and enjoyed playing the game. A few months later I got my own NES for Christmas with The Legend of Zelda, which became one of my favorite and most influential games, and I've been a game designer ever since.

I finished it the first day we brought it home. Plenty of replay value though!

Hehe this game was legendarily hard, maybe not the hardest out there but 90% of the game all you heard was the low life music. I don't recall if I ever beat the game but it felt rewarding achieving milestones back then to.
