Mate, that was a good ride, your restraint in not going in the pub for a pint is commendable. Have read a couple of books by one the landlords of the pub writing about the hardships during the long winter months, good stuff! Hope you had a nice Yorkshire pint at the end of your ride. Hi mate another fantastic blog, I could do with some lessons on video techniques. I've put a ride on but on my mountain bike it has 85 newton metres of torque, the extra torque makes a fantastic difference, if I bought a new bike I would go for extra torque, I really enjoy the extra power on my mountain bike 😊

I was at the Tan Hill Inn in April, had intended cycling back to Peterborough, but weather defeated me, it spent 2 nights at Tan Hill because of the weather, then I ended up walking up Buttertubs and even had to pedal down because of the head winds gusting up to 45 mph. Gave up after my camping gear got soaked, going to try again next year when I have my E bike, and going stay in hotels next time.
Sounds like a nice trip, Buttertubs looks a hell of a climb

congratulation ... this is my backyard sort of ,the area is stunning as are the roads lots of nice climbs if you look hard enough...lol the Stang is epic either way you climb it .but i find it harder from the other side .

Great video mate, your progress is nothing short of amazing and you ve done it all with a lot of hard work so well done to you. I’ve got the Orbea Gain D50 which as you know, is a great bike, but I wonder if there is a very simple way of changing the lowest gear cog from 32 to a 34 for better hill climbing.
I changed my cassette to a 11-34 which is a great help, don’t think it would cost a lot and thank you 😊
Excellent ride very well done, tough climb even on a bike with assist, did you use maximum assist on that climb, how muc battery did it use. Impressive nice job. Enjoy the rest of your week
Hi Terry thank you again I had it on full assist from Reeth to the top it was 11 miles of climbing going up around 1700ft so used about 75% of battery, that was a long and big climb though 😊
