Really been loving this event AND this track! Love, love, LOVE the “homemade” feel to it. Makes it so much more unique!! (Also it must take up HUGE amounts of real estate at the Chaos Canyon Ranch - because it looks HUGE!)
Never has so much foliage been spread across a racetrack. Amazing stuff. Rebecca is a fave to win this I reckon. Car seems very stable, handles the course well. Great show
That single lane uphill section is proving to be a bit of a killer. Props to Rebecca Daboys, she ain't takin' no prisoners! And it's amazing how differently another CRX handled this week compared to last week.
Great racing action and Chaotic fun. Gratz to all moving on. Excellent show and all out production. 1,000 diecast thumbs up! "Keep your roof to the Sun". Mahalo! 🤙🏽
You guys got me hooked on the Sierra Cosworth so I was cheering for Jeff in Race 1. Shame he wasn't able to advance but plenty of great racing action to enjoy!
Hey ep there's a diecast racing channel I that you need to check out it's called momentum racing they're starting a Gasser tournament there's 12 Gassers to pick from we need to more drive think you can help my bubby momentum racing out?
Thoughts about the new track: GOOD: • The launcher to get up the hill. • The crashing at the top of the hill. • The varied start so you can get some passing (even if it's a bit predetermined), a big benefit to the 3dbotmaker's recent track • The length. It's huge. Absolutely massive in scale. NOT GOOD: • Stalling out before checkpoint one. This is the opposite of fun. One of the lanes needs to be wider, I think. • The lack of passing opportunities after checkpoint two. Even had someone do a PIT manoeuver at the end and they still couldn't pass. DON'T KNOW YET: • The joker lane. Hasn't made an impact towards a race outcome yet. Overall -- good start, I hope there are upgrades coming.
Another wild round of entertainment at Possum Hills! Unless I've misunderstood there's a minor error in the scoring - in Round 3 Race 2 & 4 two cars get 6 points for the win, instead of 6 & 4, but this doesn't affect the outcome - great racing nonetheless!
Thom, whether it was different light levels or colour correction during editing, the visuals here are just tops 🤩🤩🤩 Didn't want to say on the trailer video, it seemed a bit drab but whatever, to me it's all sorted based on this! The booster, is there any capacity to adjust power on that? I'm hoping that in time either racers figure out how to maximise their cars for that section or the unit could be adjusted for different weight classes in racing. Again a lovely shakedown with such a variety of cars! To see that Civic in the second group dominate took me back to Captain Yasimura in the first season at Gravity Throttle Racing where all drivers used that model Thanks ever so much for the upload!! 💯😎🏁
Great to see this channel back on business and with its typical creativity, but I gotta agree with other voices here. The track doesn't have an optimal flow yet, and the walls are taking off too much speed.
Olaf the Bold obviously stopping to buy some Surströmming from that tractor driver at Checkpoint 1 🤮🤮 Luckily Rex Maccar was busy tonight with all those "accidents"...this weeks bank account is looking rather good. Thank you S.C.a.M Insurance for the cheques 😉
Hi I'm Tom and I spell it correctly! Also it's a cool looking track set up but you definitely put too much paint on it for the cars to roll properly. You guys make cool videos but definitely have to rework that track to make for interesting racing like last seasons track. I watched every video last season and don't think I can bring myself to watch these races with nothing happening except cars getting stuck and not even having a good race. Truth from a concerned fan !!
Was curious as to what Materials you make your track with. Just the Road/Track itself. I'm looking to make something less space taking, Modular. The Idea is to make a track that winds from Top to bottom through various levels of a Shelving Unit. I've figured out the Majority Bits, mostly recycling materials and such, but the Racing Surface is a little bit more difficult to figure out. From the videos a d community pix, the surface texture suggests a few materials. Dollar store Foam Board is my current front runner, it's just the Paper surface of say Cardboard. Or Poster/Bristol Board, also at the dollar store, but I dunno. How you solved your Road Track situation would be helpful. The rest of it I've got figured out, but track and lane walls. The Foam sheets I Can use are well Foam, and Speed Loss due to some Friction Absorption, unless painted with a nice Glossy paint. I do have my own channel but it's rare that I post and it's mostly Art project related. This is for the little guy. Tower of Death only Top Down. I can put 2 Levels Per Shelf, Maybe even Three, it's just designing a Track as if its a6 storey Parking garage or Facility of some sort, kinda Industrial Urban. And by Modular, I'm measuring the Shelf spaces and making Carboard Inserts for each Level. And building it from Bottom Up to Top as Every Bit needs to be Test Run so as long as I go up and Cars go Down, I'm Good. I had to ask, lol, any help would be appreciated. I'm confident either way but Any spot where I can Avoid spending money or spend Less, even Recycling as a Solution, yeah that would help. Some of the pictures could have shown the track made from Cereal Box cardboard. I dunno. Which is another front runner, or a Layered Combo of thin foam and Thin Single layer cardboard.
@@Chris_Hood I suspect you're right - I don't think there's space in the shed for 2 large tracks - there was a behind the scenes video once where we were shown the cramped conditions.
@@richardmorgan9273 kind of a testament that prior to Echo City the same set could hold the main track and the smaller Double Helix rally course shoehorned into the overall build footprint Not everyone has the means to host several full length courses in a purpose built enclosure, thinking here how 3D does it on separate wheeled frames to bring the set he's filming into the array of lights
I like full runs, too, but I understand these are shakedown events with a range of stock castings and perhaps a few custom builds. Trust me when I say those planning to send their builds here are paying all the attention to each car's behaviour. You and I get to watch racing while they're taking tons of notes
@benduncanson2663 I feel you there. Custom races get the views more than running stock. I've built only two cars myself, acquiring the basic skill set was satisfying (opening the car, adding weight). Give it a try! Expect to learn something with each attempt! Talent is what you're born with, skills can be grown.
Oh, to be the contrarian... gonna have to skip the rest of this series boys. This track is just not good. It's chaotic, sure, but 24 of 32 DNF's and only 1 real pass and 1 attempted pass. Might as well just shoot them up the hill and judge the wrecks for style points. It would be as close to racing as these first 2 run-sets have been. I love racing action more than crashes. Catch you next series.
So great to have regular installments on this channel again! Fantastic stuff.

Great to see the old school CSL move on
Lane 3 and 4 needs to be fixed before the devil's drop because far too many cars just come to a stop before they ever get to it.
Good racing. That uphill section needs something on the top to keep cars from launching off of the track so easily.
Can't wait to get chewing on Granny's muffins.
WHAT A RACE!! But that Richman might consider going into the yard cleaning service instead of racing. Man he cleaned up that shrubbery.
Let's go another chaos canyon video. I love your videos.
Great racing action and Chaotic fun. Gratz to all moving on.
Excellent show and all out production. 1,000 diecast thumbs up!
"Keep your roof to the Sun". Mahalo! 🤙🏽
I think you need to re-adjust line 3 and 4, in the hill section before the jump. allmost all car stall or slowed down there.
Growing pains. I've not met a road track that didn't get fine tuned after its early days
40 points in one round is absolutely insane
If she can replicate that in round two, there’s no chance she’s gonna be stopped
Great work on building this track.
Such an awesome, challenging track!
You guys got me hooked on the Sierra Cosworth so I was cheering for Jeff in Race 1. Shame he wasn't able to advance but plenty of great racing action to enjoy!
This track is so much fun. Nice job!!
I can't help feeling bad for Schmitterling, as his car kept having handling issues, and then he bungled the one chance he had to finish a race
More, please!
The BLIMP!!!!!! Yessssssssss

Pure goodness.
just simply Wow... Bestest track i have seen to date ..Edit , i like how you did your back drops the most it adds so much depth ... Nice !!
A question for all the people what size screws do you use for your hot wheels assuming you remove the rivets during customization?
The chaos & carnage this track metes out is next level.
best die cast racing here
Tough track. Nice race 👍
Excellent show guys!!!
Great racing and great commentary!

well done

@@Chris_Hood let’s just say it was a cloudy day when we filmed the trailer, but since then the clouds have cleared and it’s clear blue skies ahead 😉
I can't wait to race on this track! The biggest take away from all of this is more weight and low CoG is needed.
Great to see this channel back on business and with its typical creativity, but I gotta agree with other voices here. The track doesn't have an optimal flow yet, and the walls are taking off too much speed.

Where are the bogins
Cool looking track but I wish there wasn't so many dnf's
Loving it..new sub..

Please tell me that the old tracks are still functional and there's a plan in place to race on them again.
😢 I fear Echo City is dusted but we can always revisit the back library!

Cool race, but the track needs to be redesigned in order to reduce crashes. I like seeing all cars finish close to each other.

@Chris_Hood, I want to send a car, but I can't modify cars. Stock racing is sadly ignored by track owners.

@Chris_Hood with my visual issues, it wouldn't be worth the several dozen wrecked cars.
@benduncanson2663 💡I have a better frame of reference now, thanks
Didn't consider that you might have such hurdles, apologies
