It's great to try new things, but not sure how to feel about the CG commentator. I think you work best as a disembodied voice, you have more than enough personality to make that work. Adding a narrator character seems to actually take away from the experience, I'd rather that space simply be filled with b-roll of the track/countryside.
I totally agree. The pigs and the whole scenario is so awesome in it self and I did not feel the CG pig added anything :( Rather it took time from the lovely piggies ❤
Plus the commentator works better as a man talking about pigs, a person being overly passionate about cute little piggies rather than being "one of them"
Love the channel always but prefer not to have to look at a cgi rendering, the real pigs are what I'm here for. And of course the narrating voice is fantastic simply as a voice 💚🐽💚
I don’t know how I feel about this… my favourite part of this channel is how professional the commentary feels, like a real racing commentator on tv. The avatar thing makes it look like a kids show
I'm sorry, I don't like it. I'm here for the purity of the sport. I appreciate huge amounts of good work was done. When the league announced a the first handicap,, they explained the virtues of pig racing. At all times, I'd rather be looking at pigs.
I really hope the feedback on the CGI pig doesn’t derail anything, has to be a hard one to take on the chin after so much work has been put in and I’m low-key gutted for you. Roll with it and move forward. We love you!
Die hard league of pigs fan here and loyal Hoshi supporter! Please drop the cgi commentator, the announcer on his own is wonderful and hilarious with plenty of personality. Thanks so much for making this content you bring joy to so many!
I may be in the minority but I feel like a fictional commentator just gives us less of a connection to you. Your commentary is always full of personality and now we're supposed to transfer that personality to a character. Also, the glitchy fur graphics are very distracting. The light reacts weird to the cheeks and chin fur. The skin glitches through the clothes at times. It's bad.
I think that can be true, but the model they went with just doesn’t match the energy of the voice. It’s so robotic and basic. Maybe if it was more like a cartoon or hand drawn pig that was more vibrant and expressive it might work, but at the end of the day I’m here to see real pigs, the commentary is an added bonus but shouldn’t take away from the piggies
Yeah, the delivery of a concept can make it or break it. In this case, I feel like it would have to go full on 2d cartoonish and expressively animated or insane 3d for it to work. Im not against the new commentator, I like the idea of the house and the "I have always been like this" lore but the lighting and camera work can improve to make the model less jarring.
I've loved League of Pigs since i discovered it about a year ago. The appeal is its simplicity, its down to earth yet exciting action and commentary, this does not fit. I'm sure it took a lot of hard work, but we learn from our mistakes.
Oh man 😟I'm afraid I have to echo many of the other folk here and say I didn't like the CGI pig. It's weird, uncanny and detracts from the experience. It's clear a considerable amount of cost and effort went into its creation, so it hurts to say it. I hope you guys don't get too discouraged as the racing was great as always.
Here's the thing about Bear: If she's not first, she does not care. Once she figures she isn't going to win, she stops trying. She's just an all or nothing kinda gal!
I was sorry about the CG pig taking up so much screen time. My family is much more into the actual piggies and would love to see even more behind the scenes and B-Roll. I didn't know whether to say or not, but was worried you might lose views on it. Hope you figure out what is right for you ❤
I'm glad you had a vision and worked to put it out there, and yet Clay (the cgi pig) really takes too much screen time and is honestly pretty freaky to look at. The other changes are nice I think, like the cgi tree area is a cool addition. I'd believe the commentator would live there, I just wish he didn't end up being this pig
Not a fan of Clay's animation or rendering honestly. I know you put a lot of effort into the model but i hope it doesn't appear much in future episodes
Love the racing, love the commentary, but the CGI stuff takes away from the amazing production values. Still a massive supporter of the channel, but just some general feedback Edited :D
I see a lot of people not being keen on animated Clay and tbh i get it. However, as a fan, may I offer some suggestions that may be a middle ground before canning an idea that I'm sure wasn't cheap and was made with love... 1) Perhaps limit Clay's bits for just the beginning, end, merch promo, and patreon shout out instead Or 2) show more of the pigs during the intermission while having Clay be in the corner of the screen similar to a RUclips reaction video. Aside from the change being so drastic. I think another source of the negativity is how much he was featured and seemed to draw away screen time from the pigs. I can tell this was an idea the team was excited for so I hope you can see and consider my suggestions in hopes some adjustments with Clay's addition can change the viewers' perception of this.
The suggestion to have Clay as a little RUclips reactor would be pretty charming! I hope they don't take the negative feedback too hard and find a compromise
How the hell does this channel only have 119K subscribers?! Pig Racing should be a top ten recommended channel! Racing Pigs do nothing but bring joy to the masses! 😂
I’m seeing a few people mistaking things in the show for products of AI and I just want to say: it’s always been very clear to me that there’s no AI used on this channel, and one of the things I love about League of Pigs is the fact that it commissions the work of so many talented artists! Whatever your opinion of the new CGI aspects, I think it’s important to give huge kudos to the League for consistently supporting and giving shoutouts to real creators - that IS unfortunately an increasing rarity, and it should be celebrated 💕
This is not canon for League of Pigs. Half the appeal of the show is that it's a person commentating the races,it makes it feel like the real sporting event that it is. This takes away from that so much.
I love league of pigs but this ai pig thing ? Not feeling it . Let’s just keep this for the real pigs and the real stars the pigs ! LETS GO PIGGY SMALLS !!!!!
I’m quite surprised and disheartened to see all the dislike towards the commentator character. I adore this channel’s passion for innovation and craft, it always makes the videos feel of amazing quality. That’s so important in a time where we’re starting to value art and creativity less. Whatever happens moving forward happens, but well done to all the artists involved in the making of this little RUclips show ❤🐷
Love the pigs, love the race, but honestly commentator has way too big of a personality to be squeezed in a CGI pig. Still appreciate how much work you put in production! Amazing!!!
At the end of the day, regardless of the reception of Clay, I LOVE the effort and ambition on display. Big swings like this show just how hard you guys work to give us an amazing show, and that passion is why this is indeed my favorite animal channel on RUclips! Love you guys!
I'm going to give the visuals on Clay a little time prior to any comment. I'm coming around to it, weirded me out initially 😂 Glad you're expanding the channel though. 👍👍🐖 PiggySmalls 👊👍
I love the pigs. I love your commentary. I don’t love the new avatar. The treehouse looks alright aside from the weird light shining on the tree bark but the lighting and shadows on the avatar don’t look good IMO. The way it moves is unnatural and unsettling. Your commentary takes things very seriously and cutting to a host like that is jarring, I feel like I’m being taken out of the moment. The camera changes angles much more frequently than needed too. I think the concept drawings look tons better… maybe another way to swing it could be to have a dozen or so frames of those drawings to use as the avatar instead? That’d be much cuter and more endearing than this model IMO. Or if you want to remain faceless, you could do the same thing but with your own body and the face cut off so it’s neck down? Regardless, I’m still gonna watch and support the channel. Just my $0.02!
I think there is a place for Clay but it needs some work. He's over used in this video for one, people love the b roll footage of the piggies. He also bloats the episode, pretty sure this is the longest by a good margin (certainly FELT too long, which is what really matters). Let him do the lead in and the merch, but cut the other appearances. Also, have him wear merch! And give him a microphone to hold, staring straight into the camera and slowly waving his hands about is not how anyone gives an interview, which is why so many people are calling it uncanny.
I can live with Clay being a part of the show, i find it interesting how this addition will change the format and interaction with the audience and the racers. The model needs to be way more facially expressive, maybe thats the key.
Hope you change your mind on the CGI pig, it kinda ruins the video imo. I love the pigs and the usual commentary and was thinking about becoming a patron but I couldn't watch this video and now don't want to watch new videos 🐷💔
Just want to add my voice to the sea of LoP fans showing their concern over the cgi pig. It really undermines the charm, which is the main pull of the channel.
Another brilliant series of races! Always a treat 🥰 I'm good with Clay, I think he's an interesting and exciting addition. Fair play to all the incredible artists involved!
This is an awesome channel !! Thanks to all for making me smile and laugh . The next 4 years is gonna be hard and I will need something to keep me smiling
Love league of pigs, and I will say major kudos to all involved for what must have been a gargantuan effort to add something new to the show. I especially appreciate that you gave a shout out to the artists. That said, throwing in a bunch of cgi is not the way to go. The simple, enthusiastic audio commentary is way more engaging on its own. When the first trailer for the first Sonic the Hedgehog film was shown, there was a huge wave of reaction saying (regarding the design of Sonic) it doesn’t look right, this isn’t the real deal. The director responded by accepting the fan feedback, undoing what people didn’t like and was rewarded with what has become a very successful franchise. Likewise, the sky’s the limit for league of pigs, but this is not the way to get there, imho.
I'm a Bear fan because I'm a glutton for emotional roller coasters, I guess...and HERE'S HOW PEPPER CAN STILL WIN!! IMO there are some rough edges to the CG to keep working on - I especially found the quick cuts to different angles to be distracting - but still amazing as a first outing, and obviously a huge huge labor of love for everyone involved, as is everything about this show. I for one think that Clay is cute as hell and I look forward to getting to explore the treehouse environment! I like the way he adds the occasional bit of gestural expressiveness to your always wonderful narration ❤
Have loved this channel for a while now, the amount of time, energy and creativity that goes into the sport & making of the videos is great to see… however the cgi rendering is not it for me. It doesn’t seem to add anything but a distraction. That said, Wish you all the success.
I appreciate you all wanting to make changes and evolve your work, and I've enjoyed the community we've built here! It seems like people dont like Clay, but I think he has potential to add to the experience. Maybe you could tweak his design to be a bit more "toony" like the original designs, and incorporate less jarring editing? I think Clay's almost uncanny design is a little off putting for some. Im also feeling like a puppet of clay could be fun! He could be near the racing track and could ask interview questions after the races. Just a thought. Excited to see where you'll go from here!
No one asked for the commentator, this was all perfect as it was! 😢 Shoutout for the love and effort that must’ve gone into it, but please don’t tarnish the show with needless bells and whistles.
My friend showed me this channel today and this is my second episode. The concept is great as is. Just my opinion, but not everything needs worldbuilding. Just invest that energy into strengthening the hook.
Cheers for the effort of trying to mix things up, but your voice is superb as is👌👌 maybe taking the idea and creating a kids show could work! I also think a mobile game with the five pigs could be really fun as well. As always. Love your content, love your pigs.
🐷🐷🐷🐷🐷As a member of the horsey set, I relished the mystique of the quintessential British commentator's voice which gave your channel that 'high camp" humor. Those five Kunekune pigs are the true stars and thoroughbreds of the woods. Go Ginger Hamilton!!🐷🐷🐷🐷🐷
I'm loving the new avatar! A suggestion, though, to keep the viewers focused on the piggy goodness, have the commentator in a corner so that we can see both him and the real pigs!
Long-time fan, supporter, bought merch last season, whole shebang. I LOATHE the animated announcer and within a few scenes found myself skipping forward just to make it go away. Hope this isn't the future of the channel. Keep it about the pigs, the willingness to treat the sport as authentic and professionally produced, the whole F1 vibe - at least that's my preference.
GO GINGER GO!! I hate to pile on, and I know a lot of work went into the CGI, but it's unfortunately really distracting and frankly extremely difficult to watch. You have an amazing voice and commentator personality, you don't need the animation!
I really like the commentator. It's really quirky but I do kind of agree there needs to be more of the pigs in down time. Maybe a puppet pig hand holding a mic so the commentator could interview the pigs? Tie the two worlds together a bit more?
I was saving this for a bit since the videos are spaced out which is fine. I liked it a lot and I like Clay. I don't know what people are talking about. They all keep saying the same thing like a hive mind. It's weird. almost like they are not human. I didn't read the comments until after and was surprised how negative they were. Whatever you want to do with the channel is fine. Being creative is fun. It was wasn't that much different just added a little something. I like all the pigs. Glad to see them race. great round.
I was so looking forward to this! I’ve watched the previous seasons on repeat for last few months. I adore these animals (especially Bear I have to say - that attitude … wow! I love her and I love League of Pigs. LOVE IT. Thank you all. ❤❤❤❤❤
As piggy smalls number one fan, this round he took it easy on the other pigs no question. Next round he is going to clinch and win this season just like the last!!
I would really like to see you release video shorts in between major videos to have one of the pigs promote their gear... You would also have unlimited volunteers to help with field work if you asked
I knew Bear would have her moment this season. It’s been too long since she reminded everyone that the only reason she ever loses is because she chooses not to try
It's great to try new things, but not sure how to feel about the CG commentator. I think you work best as a disembodied voice, you have more than enough personality to make that work. Well said, exactly
i agree with this, the narrator character is pretty off putting to me
Yeah, I'd much rather watch the pigs sniff around while the announcer is talking. Every second of footage of the pigs lost to the cg pig is painful :(
Plus the commentator works better as a man talking about pigs, a person being overly passionate about cute little piggies rather than being "one of them"
Love the channel always but prefer not to have to look at a cgi rendering, the real pigs are what I'm here for. And of course the narrating voice is fantastic simply as a voice 💚🐽💚

Go for a shadow of the commentator against a wall or something indirect like that.
I've loved League of Pigs since i discovered it about a year ago. The appeal is its simplicity, its down to earth yet exciting action and commentary, this does not fit. I'm sure it took a lot of hard work, but we learn from our mistakes.

Very bummed out by the CGI pig commentator. Ruins how much I loved the commentary and focus on the pigs between races.
I say this because I love you guys so much and all the work you do- please no pig commentator. I love mysterious disembodied British man
This CG pig adds absolutely nothing.
Best advertising as always. Not sure if I like the commentator pig.. looks a bit uncanny too me unfortunately
Not gonna lie, manpig (aka 'Clay') freaks me out a bit.
Here's the thing about Bear: If she's not first, she does not care. Once she figures she isn't going to win, she stops trying. She's just an all or nothing kinda gal!
Yes. Perfectionism is holding her back. I think she should work with a psychologist to unlock her true potential.
I appreciate you trying something new, but the CG commentator pig is not working for me.
I was sorry about the CG pig taking up so much screen time. My family is much more into the actual piggies and would love to see even more behind the scenes and B-Roll. I didn't know whether to say or not, but was worried you might lose views on it. Hope you figure out what is right for you ❤

Any CGI kind of detracts from why people loved it in the first place. I couldn't even watch the full episode.
You really shouldn't have with the animated pig
Not a fan of Clay's animation or rendering honestly. I know you put a lot of effort into the model but i hope it doesn't appear much in future episodes
Love the racing, love the commentary, but the CGI stuff takes away from the amazing production values. Still a massive supporter of the channel, but just some general feedback
Edited :D
AI stuff???
There's no AI
Nice. Removed that wording :)
Nope, nope, nope. No thank you. Been looking forward to round 2 for ages, but that commentator animation is really off-putting.
I see a lot of people not being keen on animated Clay and tbh i get it. However, as a fan, may I offer some suggestions that may be a middle ground before canning an idea that I'm sure wasn't cheap and was made with love...

I like your first suggestion
Couldn't agree more.
The suggestion to have Clay as a little RUclips reactor would be pretty charming! I hope they don't take the negative feedback too hard and find a compromise
i like this idea! can tell a lot of work went into clay.
This Commentator pig is gonna be in my nightmares
How the hell does this channel only have 119K subscribers?! Pig Racing should be a top ten recommended channel! Racing Pigs do nothing but bring joy to the masses! 😂
CG commentator is not the move. At all. Your voice is more than enough.
More than enough!!
The animation is awful. Please go back to the previous style.
I’m seeing a few people mistaking things in the show for products of AI and I just want to say: it’s always been very clear to me that there’s no AI used on this channel, and one of the things I love about League of Pigs is the fact that it commissions the work of so many talented artists! This. People saying ai disgusts me here.
Please re-edit this without clay. Please.
I appreciate the effort but he’s scary and off putting.
If he made the pig a more 2d drawn design in an announcer box in the corner of the screen i think itd work alot better
I like this feedback. Just in case they are super into this idea this feels like a nice route.
Yeah the cgi pig just isnt landing for me tbh, the charm of the show is how rustic simple it is and the weird animal farm oinker is jarring.
Glad LoP is back! And especially Bear absolutely bringing her A game!
Gotta say im not huge on the avatar though.
Absolutely love this channel and series!!! I have a Hoshi hoodie and everything lol but I don't love the CGI Pig character:/
This is not canon for League of Pigs. Half the appeal of the show is that it's a person commentating the races,it makes it feel like the real sporting event that it is. This takes away from that so much.
nah, not into the commentator pig at all. scrap it
I'm so sorry this didn't work out the way you hoped. Adore the pig races!
I love league of pigs but this ai pig thing ? Not feeling it . Let’s just keep this for the real pigs and the real stars the pigs ! LETS GO PIGGY SMALLS !!!!!
agreed
no ai, put some respect on the artists behind it cmon
Not ai. Use words correctly
@@victoriaplaza3611It appears that in this case an AI would've done the better job.
Not a fan of the CG pig but it's not AI. Don't throw that word around.
I hate it 😭😭😭

I love the pig races, I love the voice. This weird pig CG thing, not my thing at all. It's pretty creepy. Pepper supporter for life!
🌶️🌶️
Love the pigs, love the race, but honestly commentator has way too big of a personality to be squeezed in a CGI pig. Still appreciate how much work you put in production! Amazing!!!
Just realised that the piglets don’t care at all who’s the first. They just run happy together
Oh absolutely not, that is terrifying.
Don't like this at all. Much prefer commenting without this visual.
I totally loved it! I'm a fan of your work. I think it's great you're expanding the LOP world. I'm excited to see what is gonna come next. ❤
I loved you guys just they way you were. you didn't have to change anything.
The best thing about the show is the fact that it always surprises us the viewers with something new. I always appreciate your effort and new ideas❤️
I’ll be seeing that CGI pig in my nightmares tonight. Had to look away whenever it came on screen. I’m so happy the real pigs are back though!
Pepper doesn't have the speed
She doesn't have the apples
But she has the PEOPLE!
¡Arriba, Pepper Sanches!
I have missed these piggies! They make me so happy.
If you made plushies if the pigs I would be soooooo thrilled, especially Hoshi! ❤
i would like stickers
At the end of the day, regardless of the reception of Clay, I LOVE the effort and ambition on display. Big swings like this show just how hard you guys work to give us an amazing show, and that passion is why this is indeed my favorite animal channel on RUclips!
Love you guys!
I'm going to give the visuals on Clay a little time prior to any comment. I'm coming around to it, weirded me out initially 😂 Glad you're expanding the channel though. 👍👍🐖 PiggySmalls 👊👍

It's at 5:30am for me and I've got to head to work. I suggest postponing this for another 10hrs just so I can be the fist to watch it with my partner

I can live with Clay being a part of the show, i find it interesting how this addition will change the format and interaction with the audience and the racers. The model needs to be way more facially expressive, maybe thats the key.
I'm sorry but the CG pig is horrifying.
1000%
I'm also sorry but my kid noped out of this FAST. Shame, he used to love watching this, guess we still have the old videos though
Yeah it is weird. Just doesn’t fit with the vibe of the videos
Like having NFL games narrated by Mickey Mouse
Except Mickey Mouse is well animated and has character.
This pig is expressionless, creepy and glitchy.
I love him!
Hope you change your mind on the CGI pig, it kinda ruins the video imo. I love the pigs and the usual commentary and was thinking about becoming a patron but I couldn't watch this video and now don't want to watch new videos 🐷💔

My elderly mother loves League of Pigs! I can't wait to show her the commentator reveal!!!
The wait was totally worth it!
Amazing performances, fantastic production and getting better! =D
The artists did such an amazing job on everything this round!! Wonderful to see the channel ever-growing. Two hooves up -- great work!
I'm loving the new avatar! A suggestion, though, to keep the viewers focused on the piggy goodness, have the commentator in a corner so that we can see both him and the real pigs!
My little girl Tilly the pig loves to sit with me and watch the races. Thanks for sharing the best show on earth with us.
The Smalls montage...chills.
Everyone is giving u hell for the cgi pig. It’s still of league of pigs video and it was great
GO GINGER GO!!
Tie the two worlds together a bit more?
insanely good idea bro is cooking Michelin star meals
Life is good. League of Pigs exists.
I would really like to see you release video shorts in between major videos to have one of the pigs promote their gear... You would also have unlimited volunteers to help with field work if you asked
So weird with the animated stuff
Amazing show. Kudos to Pepper for winning a race and of course to the star (aka Ginger).
I knew Bear would have her moment this season. It’s been too long since she reminded everyone that the only reason she ever loses is because she chooses not to try
I’m so happy to see Pepper win a race again!
