Where can I buy or get a priming machine? My lift pump, manual pump doesn't work and I need to prime the engine. Also ,if you can please provide the make and model of the priming machine. Thank you
@@truckerslife1013 I did start it immediately after changing the fuel filters and fuel water separator and it did not start. I started to prime it but doesn't stiffen up because every time I fill the housing up, it starts to empty out and the prime won't get hard. So now it won't start it only cranks. Even after starting fluid. Oh and I didn't change the fuel filters one at a time I took them both off and worked from there. Do you have any advice or what you think the problem may be please?
You made that look easy. I can’t get the filter out. It is STUCK and since I can’t twist it because of the port on the bottom I’m not sure what to do. I don’t want to break it. 🥴🤬
Someone else mentioned that, and the response was to use a pry bar or big screwdriver to pull it straight up and out. 👍 Hoping I won't have the same problem.
I have that same setup on my 2015 cascadia dd15. But can’t find the water separator. It doesn’t have the large canister for the davco. Shouldn’t it have 3 fuel filters

@@truckerslife1013 I did and I already changed them. I took them both out this is my 3rd time and checked them thoroughly making sure the filters aren't damaged and no thread damage. They are in good condition I just don't know why it won't pressurize through the primer. Thank you for replying back to me I really appreciate you taking the time man
@@truckerslife1013 I didn't have the fuel water separator on tight enough and obviously didn't have the right amount of pressurization for the fuel to do what it do smh. My fault. When I put it on the bowl kept spinning when it was supposed to be completely still while I run down the black ring around it. Which caused the o ring to slip and not allowing the clear dome to be properly seated.
I got same service light and codes for fuel filters After replacing fuel filters its still there will it go away on its own or codes needs to be erased with the computer
Great video and only the information needed with clear instructions.
💪🏿🔥💪🏿👏🏿
I really appreciate that
servicing a dd15 for the first time tomorrow, don't have a priming machine, thanks for the tip bro !
Thank you as well
Great information also Make sure your fuel\ water separator is full before pumping/priming .
absolutely
We use a priming machine to prime the fuel filters. It attaches to that fitting in the side of the filter housing
We do also. However drivers that are doing the work themselves, dont have a priming machine

More than likely it coded for low fuel rail pressure.

Use a pry bar or long screwdriver and pry straight up. Do not twist it
