How we change DPF Filters on 2018 Freightliner Cascadia with Detroit engine.

- Step by step instructions:
1. Remove steps.
2. Remove cover.
3. Remove filters. (Filters were 71% in ash accumulation)
4. Clean in box filters by rising rpms to 10000 and set the cruise control
or have one to hold the rpm and blow with air.
5. We don't clean filters ourselves, we send them to different company.
6. When they come we put them back with new clamps and gaskets.
7. Install cover.
8. Install steps.
9. We also change the doser on the turbo.
10. After everything we do a parked regen and that's it.

Good idea to clean DOC while changing the filters.
That doesnt really clean them and can actually hurt them

Why wouldn't you check for air leakage at the clamps before you put all the covers back on.???
You should also clean the delta P ports and that small pipe to the right and relace the hose that is on it. If any of those are plugged or broken it will cause the system to think it needs filters. May still need them anyways.
They just need to be cleaned,,no need to replace them,,,,I buy the litre bottles of launch dpf cleaner and I have the launch gun and nozzle,,I just put one bottle each in the gun and put it on my air compressor at 135psi,,I inject the fluid in through the diff pressure sensor pipe,,There is 2 pipes ,,always use the larger one,,,Once all the cleaner is in I start the engine and keep the revs up to 1500 rpm ,,for about 6 mins,,Then bring it for a 10 min run,,You'll need a good scan tool,,Keep a eye on the diff pressure and soot content,,It reduces very quickly,,And that's it ,,compleatly clean dpf all the time,,The gun and liquid can be bought on line,,Around 300 pounds,,,And the gun lasts for years,,

How about the two filters on the his right side who was cleaning by the air COMPROSSER. Doesn’t need to change it ??? I.mean I see there was a lot of ash in there????
That part isn’t serviceable unless you change the whole “1 box” which is around 10,000$
How much does would this service cost at your shop? Everything all in?
5 hours $140 per hour just labor plus you will have to get new gaskets and clean filters total would be around $1500 labor and parts

What size straps are those you had to replace?
Is their a part number on that tool you used to hold up the filters? While aligning them to install the clamps
It’s homemade tool so it’s just aluminum reflection tape plate that goes on mud flap in back of your truck

Who Idiot came with DPF system, I am driving crane truck mostly in city and Wasting $2000 every 2 Months, Ford with Cat and no manual regen option. Ford says soot working fine Cat says we do not repair truck engines anymore.
CAT told you that? That doesn't make any sense, how about every Peterbilt on the road with a cat?
