I agree! I think a .25 used correctly and sparingly really can help with product penetration. I have a professional pen for deeper treatments, but I don’t share it because most people won’t do their research and use it correctly. I see so many people using deeper treatments way to often, you are completely destroying your skin when you force it to try and repair deeper damage on a weekly basis when you should wait weeks in between! I think overuse of products in general is the biggest issue I see in any DIY skincare, more is not better. If people want to do their research and take care of themselves I fully support that, we just need to make sure we know what we’re doing before jumping in.

We all grow and evolve. Love that people are researching products for themselves. The downside, there are so many " chair side dermatologist and chemist" on media now. Researching for yourself and finding products suitable and effective for your skin type seems to be the norm now.
I've noticed a few youtubers revoking their recommendations on products they used to love and its so awesome. Sometimes you don't know especially for skin care that it's bad until using long term or someone tells you "naw, that's bad. Here the proof".
I have been a skin care professional for over 20 years and I want to say thank you for making this video. It's such a responsible thing to do and I love that you're educating people. It is great to show your growth to your audience and how we all make mistakes in skin care. I also love that you are stressing the importance of doing research and knowing ingredients. Keep up the good work James!
So I’m 41. There was a good 10 year hiatus for me using skincare products because I have sensitive, combo, hormonal acne so nothing helped. Even visiting a dermatologist didn’t help. Now, at 41 I see all these affordable brands with ingredients that are just amazing! My skin is still crap because I messed up my balance, but I know I don’t have to take out a second mortgage to buy good skincare.
The pharmacies in the UK are definetely on a different level. I recently went to London and was shocked to see the Inkey List among other brands in a pharmacy like Boots. In Germany we can only get those kinds of brands at Sephora or Douglas (higher end make up/skincare retailers)..
I CAN'T even imagine how hard it is the sit and talk about your mistakes... This takes so much care and maturity coming from an influencer. There is nothing to regret about in my opinion, not just you we were all kinda into that stuff. Time and products evolves so does our mindset and knowledge. I couldn't image that it is possible to love you even more! So proud!!!
As a redhead with blue eyes I’m very pale. When I was a teenager I wanted a bit of a ‘tan’. So I concocted a tanning solution of 2bottles of iodine and baby oil and slathered it all over. I’m 68 now and still finding streaks of it in places I shouldn’t. Not really, but that was the worst mistake I’ve ever put on my body. Going to school for months covered in iodine streaks was my punishment
My main problem with lush skincare is there constant use of essential oils in literally everything to the point where some of there products seem outright dangerous for the face. Like near enough all of their cleansers have some form of exfoliating element in them and combined with the essential oils can really damage your skin if it is remotely sensitive. They have scrubs that have Sodium bicarbonate as the first ingredient like why??? Love their body stuff and their perfumes are amazing but i would not touch most of their skincare with a ten foot pole. A couple of their products are alright (mainly their oil cleansers if you do not mind fragrance) but it is not worth it.
@@shj7346 They literally have a scrub were baking soda is the first ingredient. If you do not believe me just look at the ingredients for the bright and beautiful scrub. Baking soda and fragrance do not belong in scrubs for the face.
Baking soda is a pretty common and safe ingredient in face scrubs. Like especially K-Beauty. It can be drying for people without oily skin but nothing to worry about!
Unfortunately i can't say that i have. I've been following you for a while now by recommendation (My daughter Ariel) I love your honesty no BS approach to skin care. Something u recommended that i actually hated was the glow recipe watermelon moisturiser, my skin is drier than the saharah desert it didn’t really work for me i actually started developing more dry patches than i already had 😂 HOWEVER i gave it to my sister her skin is oily and she loves it
One thing I bought on your recommendation that I didn't like was the I'm from rice toner. It just wasn't moisturizing enough for my dry/dehydrated thyroiditis skin. I absolutely love the glow recipe aha/bha toner and their sunscreen! I personally hate tinted sunscreens because the tint is ALWAYS TOO DARK FOR ME! My fave sunscreens r the glow recipe and the biore uv watery essence and my other fave toner is the Haruharu black rice hyaluronic toner! Thankyou James Welsh for being our go to skincare guru!🙏🙏🙏🖤🖤🖤
I like the I'm From Rice Toner but I LOVE the Laneige Cream Skin toner, just a whole step up in moisturising benefits as a toner. I started off using the Ordinary on your recommendation and I now can't stand their formulations! I had a similar experience with The Ordinary (though James is not the only person who recommended them, so I can’t solely blame him!). Their Salicylic acid serum was fine the first time, but the second bottle gave me a severe reaction that made me have to go to the emergency room. Because they change their suppliers based on the pricing, it can be wildly inconsistent. I would buy marula oil from them, but that’s honestly the only thing.
Yeah I don’t hate the ordinary but their just that ordinary. I haven’t noticed any positive changes from anything of theirs. The good molecules on the other hand has some amazing products for a similar price point.

You really made me buy the nature republic’s aloe gel, and I was thinking to myself, why you liked it as a moisturizer, it didn’t do anything to my skin. Anywho, I use it for my hair.
I feel like of all the 'skinfluencers' I follow I completely trust you. But I would also understand that through the years their opinions can change. But I love that you speak on the ingredients and science of skin.
It is always good to look back! And I mean that is growth after all. Also, avocados are extremely expansive where I am and using a whole one and not eating it just hurts.
Hi James, I'm just hyperfocusing on your comment regarding good skincare that's available for 1 - 2 pounds. I would love if you did a video on these kind of products, as I find it quite frustrating when influencers promote "affordable" products that are under 10 or 20 pounds each - which really adds up. I want to hear about genuine quality products that are actually affordable, as an Irish college student who's spending should be prioritised towards saving, housing and a car.
Kids nowadays are so lucky to have affordable and accessible skincare! We all messed up our skin with these DIY beauty recipes and trial and error and clean and clear scrubs. Recognising personal growth is so important! Thanks for sharing this! 💜💜💜💜
I can't think of any products that you recommended that I tried and hated. (I have hated several products that I just decided to try on my own without looking at reviews so I'm not doing that anymore lol). I found your channel relatively recently so I basically watch the older ones for entertainment purposes only. The weird audio issues that made your voice sound deeper makes me chuckle 😆
I see how many people can relate to the DIY stuff.. I used to play the quote in my head "it's food - you eat food not put it on your face".. I tried the cucumber thingy on my eyes but it felt bad throwing it after or when you taste it it's not as good anymore - good thing, as you have said, the price of skin care is ok so you don't waste food. I think I realized that in that one moment and decided not to do it anymore and just wash my face. For me, there was this one scene in a kdrama called Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo that after they tried their DIY potato mask, she got a really bad pimple. At the time, I thought it was a confirmation. But the thing that really got me into skincare was because I had spare time and spare money during the pandemic - when the products went on sale and then eventually kept that price - have you noticed that? I only noticed some, though.
How's everyone doing .....hope everyone's doing good n having a great day..... thank you James for all that you do I truly appreciate it I've learn so much love your sense of humor and love watching all that you do thank you....especially when you And your brother get together and do your videos it just makes my day 😊 Thanks
The drying lotion was best friend, and while yes- it worked- it also left me with a scabby dry spot. You’re correct, there are much better options out there now. We are finally learning that giving and nourishing the skin is better than search and destroy with harsh products.
My biggest DIY skin care sin was the Michelle Phan Rice Scrub with honey and lemon. Now that sounds bad right ? What if I told you I did both at once. Even worse? Ha well… I did that in the morning and in the evening. :) (I have totally fine skin now and didn’t prematurely age myself as far as I can tell…. Still won’t catch me without spf)
I had purchased a facial guasha and roller tool set after you reviewed them and they didn't do anything manual massage couldn't do. I know that's on me and that my expectations were too high. I had played it up in my head that the lymphatic drainage and massage would be revolutionary with how much you enjoyed it lol. I sanitized it and gave the set to someone else so it wasn't really a waste, it just wasn't for me.
I've used that Aloe gel for years not for face, but for HAIR. It makes the best hair gel. I mix it with The Ordinary hair density scalp treatment and put it in my roots and let it air dry. It gives volume, and my hair is super fine. Helped with my hairline
I found that Coalface (at least the old version, from like 2008 lol) was fantastic for my shoulder and upper arm acne. It was far too harsh for my face, but I do agree with you in that I only liked about 5 products from their lineup
This is such a refreshing idea for a video! I loved the bit about Lush, I also absolutely love them for body products but when you mentioned skincare I realized hardly anything I ever tried did much or wowed me.
Not on your recommendation, but when I first tried a skincare routine I had this fancy Elemis set from a spa I visited. And it broke me out SO badly. I don’t know if I am allergic to it, or if it was just wrong. But I decided going back to healthy skin with no routine at all (I always wear suncream though)… then I figured out there were more affordable things that I could use without being itchy and spotty! Now I usually use the inky list (it’s cheap and works well for me!) and sometimes use this gold bond heavy thick moisturiser for when my skin is damaged/dry.
This is a fantastic video. Peoples needs, opinions and knowledge are ever changing. I think its really valuable hearing an updated opinion. I wish more people did this. 👍🏼
I know you probably won’t see this James (doubt you check your comments a week later 🤣) but I believe the pandemic had a massive boost to the whole skin care industry! A lot more people started going make up free (why bother right?) and started taking care of their skin a lot more! I know myself is included in that! I had a basic face wash I used daily pre-pandemic but I take a lot better care of my skin post-pandemic. I’ve noticed dramatic changes in my skin (a lot of progression!!!) and now I feel confident enough to go foundation free a lot more! X
I get you on the Lush reformulating thing, I had a Halloween shower gel and it was great, got another one the following year and it was all thick and chunky
I use aloe Vera gel as a “primer” for my body lotion. It increases the water content of my skin and I feel like it’s too thin and quick absorbing to interfere with anything I put on after
I'm loving this St. Ives Face Mist Spritz a Little Zing orange .... I set my makeup with it and just spritz it all over my face through the day. It says *natural hydrator* but I know it can't replace moisturizer. But my oily skin loves this spritzer!
I bought all 3 Cosrx products you recommended, the good morning cleaner, aha/bha toner and the snail essence. I've been using those followed by Dr Jart ceramidin moisturizer and my face has never been happier! I would like to find a different moisturizer because what I'm using is pretty expensive but I'm so afraid to change anything because this is the best my skin has ever looked.
I feel like the pandemic boosted skin care stuff. A lot of people including me was like “No one is gonna see my face so I can mess around with my skin care.”
The Cosrx Aloe sunscreen works well on me except when I use a tinted gel moisturiser over it ( Bare Minerals). I dislike the scent and do not find it soothing, and am looking forward to using it up. You were not the only one that recommended it and I credit your content for helping me venture into K-Beauty, as most products I've tried suit my sensitive combination skin. I recommended your videos to a girlfriend wanting to explore Korean skincare and move away from heavy make up. ✨️🙂 ✨️
I used to LOVE Lush! I discovered them the day after my wedding at the mall adjoining the Ritz Carlton at Tyson’s Corner, MD. (It has since moved to the Tyson’s Galleria, I think.) My makeup artist though her “vision” was far more important than our previously discussed skin issues re: my face. I wish I knew @James Welsh or had done my own makeup that day, as I had extensive training from Clarins, as I worked as an MUA for them when I was in law school, and for a few years after. Anyway, my face was a blotchy mess, and the concierge sent someone up from Lush with some products as I frantically explained that I was not leaving the room looking like that and that anything I had was just making it burn worse. Whatever the heck they brought up worked and soothed my skin. I used it for 5 more years. I know the moisturizer was as expensive as my Clarins Double Serum was at that time. (I’m USD) The only thing that I remember that they still make is “Angels on Bare Skin.” I have no idea how my skin survived much less thrived. But they were very sweet and brought me up a lovely basket of body products (sans glitter) as a wedding gift.
In Melbourne Australia we have many skincare shops. MECCA cosmetica has been around for about 30 years. K beauty and J beauty shops started to pop up around 20 years ago, and now everywhere. I love it!
I am still SO into that aloe and use it almost every day! I mix it with my Ordinary vitamin c. powder for face, with ceramide cream/ retinol for body, and just slap some on when I'm in between skincare steps and it's in front of me. Definitely NOT a moisturizer, but it's like mineral water spray for me-- SO NICE to use *alongside* everything else, but it's no stand-alone.
Hey on the topic of dermarolling I have a Dr pen a6s and I always have used brand new cartridges (I've only ever used nano with like hyaluronic or niacinamide. If done properly and as sanitary as possible, should I be tossing it out all together? Love love your videos! I'd say your channel is my favourite and the place I start when I'm looking for something skincare related 💕👌🏼
Falling out of love with Lush was a weird feeling for me. I used to absolutely love their Vanishing Cream moisturiser, and probably still would but I know I can get so much better results with a cheaper product (when I used to use Vanishing Cream it used to be around £11 but now I think it retails for £24 which is fucking ridiculous). I will say the main thing I would recommend Lush for now is the spa. I have only been maybe 3 times but oh my god every single time was worth it.
I only use aloe to hydrate. It's like a treatment for me. It actually saved my skin this summer so I'm never without it now. But yes you need to use a moisturizer with it.
the only thing i didn’t like was the glow recipe watermelon moisturizer just not thick enough for my skin. the bha pha toner tho OMG best thing i have ever tried and my skin loves it. i’m also currently hooked on the COSRX Advanced Snail 92 All in one cream moisturizer it feels perfect on my skin
Ha ha, I've been going through trying all of Glow Recipe's products (pretty much because you're always praising them on your channel), and even though you said you don't use it I tried the avocado ceremide cream for a few weeks, and it made me break out. I don't consider this "your fault" or anything silly like that because I'm aware that skin types differ and what works for one person doesn't work for another. That said you also recommended the much cheaper Ample N ceramide shot and that works GREAT, so no complaints from me!
I think Lush is really good is a supplement to your normal self-care routine. I love their face and body masks, although its mostly just therapeutic for me. I know they reformulate due to their extensive requirements for suppliers and sometimes they have to change things up to stay within their values. But I dont use their cleansers, toners, or moisturizors
Based on these comments, I think you should do another “tiered” video like you and Hyram do for products you love and hate so we can see visually. I love how transparent you are. That’s why I respect you so much, as I myself am an esthetician, I love that people are getting the advice and knowledge!
For the aloe gel that specific one, I just it to calm my skin after I do the ordinary chemical peel or after the sun. Then I go in with a hydrating mask.
The glitter in Lush products! I got nostalgic and went to see if I still liked the Celestial moisturiser years later. When putting some on the back of my hand in store, I noticed my hand was glittery?! I don't think it was in the moisturiser, but it was definitely floating around in the air 🥴
Lush has a garlic mask that’s worked like nothing else on my sensitive skin with a really painful all over breakout.... but it has the NARSTIEST gone-off leftover Italian food that wasn’t even good in the first place kinda smell.... that LASTED for hours at LEAST after washing it off as thoroughly as I could without going into “damaging my skin” territory.... I couldn’t ever use it again 😔🤢
i own the nature republic aloe gel stuff, and i honestly did not know there was a difference between hydrating and moisturizing. ive been using it as a moisturizer, not knowing there was a difference. to amazon i go...
One product I’m so sad that didn’t worked out from your recommendations was the ENS Jin Jung Sung toner. I loved the consistency of it, more viscous than the usual watery toner I’m used to. The ingredients list sounded amazing and didn’t seem like it would break me out. Unfortunately it gave me one of the worst skin reactions I’ve ever had. I’m trying to palm it off to my boyfriend who’s gotten into skin care recently lol. I swear by the Etude House Soon Jung line, my skin drinks that stuff up.
I don't have anything you recommended that I hate, but you were the first person I heard ever heard mention niacinamide from The Ordinary, I still use and love it.
You can actually get the shirt taken in, just FYI. It looks great on you and sizing it down to better fit you would be super easy. Find a good seamstress or tailor in your area and get them to alter it
I really like every Boots product I've tried, and BYOMA! I've repurchased the BYOMA face spray, and ive been using the Boots vitamin c and I like it a lot, I've also used up their Collagen serum I also love The Ordinary and Inkey List. The brand that I spend money on is Glow Recipe, and I do also like the Herbivore products I've tried. Glow Recipe is for sure my #1 favorite brand❤️❤️
For me, lush has 3 good products, ultrabland face cleanser (oily cleanser which is great for dry skin), dream cream body cream, and their wasabi shampoo as a clarifying treatment. The thing is none of them are an everyday treatment
I haven't tried anything that you've recommended that I've hated. I recently bought the CosRx new retinol serum...holy retinization! I thought I was used to retinol because I'd been using a Papa Recipe retinol serum...nope. My face peeled like I had a sunburn! The only skincare product I've tried and hated was The Ordinary Caffeine under eye serum. It was sticky, it didn't help with my under eye bags and after 2 weeks of off and on use, the skin under my eye was on fire! I think it added some darkness under my eye too.
I bought the krave matcha hemp hydrating cleanser off of your recommendation…I’ve repurchased it about…4 times since then. And I still love it, they just reformulated it to not have almond oil in it anymore. I haven’t tried the new version of it but if it’s anything like the old one I’m sure it’ll stay my staple cleanser.
in defense of the aloe vera gel... it never marketed itself as a moisturiser, even says on the packaging that it's a soothing gel and mildly moisturises (to be used on face AND body), so as like. a gel to soothe insect bites or burns or sth it's still great :3
Used to use a Body Conditioner by Lush called African Paradise. I use it as a face cream, it just works and smells amazing but they've discontinued it 😪😪 really annoying when that happens!
I just started using clarins instant eye lift I need to know what you think ab clarins. My dermatologist and Botox nurse tells me that everything you need is in cereve retinol and their moisturizer (glycerin niacinamide sunscreen hyalaraunic acid ) so that’s what I use ..my dermatologist thinks eye cream isn’t necessary and that you can use your moisturizer under your eye.
I always wondered even as a kid- why did people put aloe vera on their sunburns if 2 seconds of relief gave way to tight and itchy skin? ...I am allergic to aloe vera 😂 my fav calming & cooling ingredient is centella asiatica ;)
I did not like that one either, not because pilling, because I did not notice any of that. But it stings my eyes, when I have worn in couple of hours and it starts to seep into my eyes. But I have super super sensitive eyes as well, so for others this might still be a very good sunscreen. Cosrx is one of my favorite brands.
Lush lost me as a customer when they stopped making the Grass body wash. OMG it smelled divine. Exactly like freshly mown grass on a dewy, sunny morning. Was the only product, as well as the cotton fairy body wash they do for Christmas, that I'd ever buy! So sad 😭 Might I add, that when I went in to buy, the lady didn't even know what I was talking about! I was like, you must be new to Lush, it's been around for years. Haha

There’s something about this video. It’s so much brighter. Loving the pop of colours here and there 💕
My main problem with lush skincare is there constant use of essential oils in literally everything to the point where some of there products seem outright dangerous for the face.
Sodium bicarbonate is baking soda. Are you OK?
@@shj7346 They literally have a scrub were baking soda is the first ingredient. If you do not believe me just look at the ingredients for the bright and beautiful scrub. Baking soda and fragrance do not belong in scrubs for the face.
@@jenblack98 Baking soda is fine for the face, especially amazing for acne. What are you freaking about about?
Baking soda is a pretty common and safe ingredient in face scrubs. Like especially K-Beauty. It can be drying for people without oily skin but nothing to worry about!
I felt like I missed something too, i am sensitive to scents and hated the essential oils in lush
Unfortunately i can't say that i have. I've been following you for a while now by recommendation (My daughter Ariel) I love your honesty no BS approach to skin care. I started using the glow recipe line products and let me tell you! My daughter and fiance have been asking "my god, your skin looks great lately " 😉 53 years old and loving rediscovering my skincare obsession.
Do you think you will ever do a review on LED masks? Like the Dennis Roth one?
I totally agree! I've been loving all of the glow recipe products I've bought!
When I read the first part of your comment I was going to rec haruharu! It's sooo nice, I have dry skin too :)
I like the I'm From Rice Toner but I LOVE the Laneige Cream Skin toner, just a whole step up in moisturising benefits as a toner. James has said for ages that he loves that Kombucha tea toner thingy from a Dr ____ Korean brand (lmao forgive my vagueness I can't remember), and that it's similar to the Laneige, so I'm just waiting for an opportunity to buy it and see
@@ZosiaDabrowski Dr Ceuracle Vegan Kombucha tea essence. It has a byphase formula, and it's so amazing on my skin.
I actually want to cry because I went to a wedding and filled up a bag with skincare, this was in it. It's been stolen. Just super shitty. You've reminded me to repurchase. Thank you!!
@@flowrising I'm so sorry that happened to u, I would be so upset! Skincare can be very expensive and for me it's life! I'm happy I could help remind u🥰
I started off using the Ordinary on your recommendation and I now can't stand their formulations! I'll even take Revolution over them 🤣 However, your videos are what got me to a place where I feel confident in making skincare decisions so while both our opinions may change I still appreciate all your content ❤️
Honestly I bought pretty much everything your K-beauty recommendations and I never once regretted it. K-beauty stands high above the others I guess
K-drama actually got me interested in Korean skincare
I love K beauty. It accounts for half of my products, and I don't regret a single purchase.
@@victoriafinney732 J beauty and Taiwanese beauty too. Kose Softymo Speedy Cleansing Oil is my holy grail and my favorite sheet masks are still from My Beauty Diary (Taiwanese brand).
I use a lot of Korean products, they're amazing!
Reflection is a part of life and is certainly a part of the teaching and informing process. While we can’t “go” back, we can “look” back and reassess. Thank you, James.
Loved today’s vlog! You’re so honest with your hit and miss. That’s the very reason I always watch your videos. Love from 🇦🇪 and 🇵🇭
Hi James, I'm just hyperfocusing on your comment regarding good skincare that's available for 1 - 2 pounds.
My skin had a massive boom when I found James
Kids nowadays are so lucky to have affordable and accessible skincare! We all messed up our skin with these DIY beauty recipes and trial and error and clean and clear scrubs. Recognising personal growth is so important! Thanks for sharing this! 💜💜💜💜
when I was a teen the drugstore had the most drying products. I am happy they got better products now
I can't think of any products that you recommended that I tried and hated.
Going to get micro needling done today (professionally!). One reason is because it can penetrate deeper than AHAs and BHAs. Hope it goes well!
I really want to see what's on the shelves! And...lush bath stuff is the only thing I'd recommend oh and all the body creams are good xx
That shirt is ADORABLE! It is SO cute and I hope you either find a way to wear it comfortably or repurpose it because it's SO cute.
Omg pixi! Glow tonic was my first intro to actives and learning about skincare.
Just bought the Glow Recipe Plum Plump based on this video so if I hate it, I'll let you know
Nooo the shirt looks so good on you, and it's adorable! ❤
I use aloe Vera gel as a “primer” for my body lotion. It increases the water content of my skin and I feel like it’s too thin and quick absorbing to interfere with anything I put on after
Same! My skin LOVES aloe as a base.
The one that comes to mind that you recommended that my skin HATED was the Lush tea tree toner. skin would burn within a minute of spraying it 🤣
The Cosrx Aloe sunscreen works well on me except when I use a tinted gel moisturiser over it ( Bare Minerals).
Omg that shirt is adorable. I would buy that as fabric to make something cute.
I love the whole concept of this video.
Thank you for being honest!❤️❤️👑
Hey on the topic of dermarolling I have a Dr pen a6s and I always have used brand new cartridges (I've only ever used nano with like hyaluronic or niacinamide. If done properly and as sanitary as possible, should I be tossing it out all together?
Love love your videos! I'd say your channel is my favourite and the place I start when I'm looking for something skincare related 💕👌🏼
OMG - that shirt is ADORABLE!
The only product I've bought on your recomendation is The Ordinary's squalene cleanser and I actually like It.
O9ok98
Love to see the growth since then!
This was such an awful product for me too. I can use strong peels etc, my skin is pretty robust. But this product burnt me.
The Ordinary is amazing. Just started Argireline and omg... My 11s? Where?! It's a miracle product for me!
What is the spot treatment you recommended instead of the etude house one? I’m very interested in purchasing 🥺🥺
I hated the Rice toner - didn’t do anything for me so I just use it on my body. Still love you though🫠😅
You can actually get the shirt taken in, just FYI. It looks great on you and sizing it down to better fit you would be super easy. Find a good seamstress or tailor in your area and get them to alter it
I really like every Boots product I've tried, and BYOMA! I've repurchased the BYOMA face spray, and ive been using the Boots vitamin c and I like it a lot, I've also used up their Collagen serum
I also love The Ordinary and Inkey List.
The thing is none of them are an everyday treatment
nature republic aloe vera is still that girl and she’ll always be that girl. my oily acne prone skin loves it
And PS your shirt is ADORABLE 😍 if you hate how big it feels, see if you can have it tailored! It’s super cute 🥰
The shirt is adorable looks cozy
Once I tried to use pure acv as a toner... I had no idea I was supposed to dilute it. My face was not happy.
You better come on with the intellectual humility. hopefully videos like this become a trennnnd i love iittt
Not much of a skincare related comment but I just wanna say that I am absolutely loving your Pokemon shirt!
in defense of the aloe vera gel... it never marketed itself as a moisturiser, even says on the packaging that it's a soothing gel and mildly moisturises (to be used on face AND body), so as like. a gel to soothe insect bites or burns or sth it's still great :3
Used to use a Body Conditioner by Lush called African Paradise.
I always wondered even as a kid- why did people put aloe vera on their sunburns if 2 seconds of relief gave way to tight and itchy skin?
...I am allergic to aloe vera 😂
my fav calming & cooling ingredient is centella asiatica ;)
For me it was the Cosrx aloe sunscreen. Loved it, but it pilled on me so bad 😵 that said, I think I still wanna try their new one 😹
James! Have you ever tried the Skinfood Peach gel? I used to use it as a summer/morning moisturizer and it really actually was a favorite of mine
Lush lost me as a customer when they stopped making the Grass body wash. OMG it smelled divine. Exactly like freshly mown grass on a dewy, sunny morning. Was the only product, as well as the cotton fairy body wash they do for Christmas, that I'd ever buy! So sad 😭
Might I add, that when I went in to buy, the lady didn't even know what I was talking about! I was like, you must be new to Lush, it's been around for years. Haha
hey james. could you do a video on malassezia? maybe recommend some products? i have been combating it for years and it just comes back with the slightest skincare change!!!
With the reformulating products, I wonder, do cosmetic patents expire the way pharmaceutical patents do? So they reformulate to try and keep from being the same as the new "generic" ones?
