In 2012 their was an interview with some drivers and burton smith asked them what they thought about stage racing carl basically said i wont be around long if it happens. When they asked Harvick he said its the same guy (burton smith) that runied bristol motor speedway. Look it up its a good video
God I miss this man. Wish I realized what a privilege it was to watch him race as a 7 year old

@@Bload72productions You're right. Edwards was running 4th & 5th in the 4 cylinder Pinto Class @ Capitol Speedway (dirt) outside Jefferson City, MO. Pavement experience was dick. Edwards kept running *_"NASCAR Driver needing a ride"_* add every week in Speed Sport News Classifieds. He didn't have a dime. *I CAN'T BELIEVE THE BALLS ON THE GUY* Neither could Roush. Answered the cocky kid's add, and gave him a shot in a truck..
