The most unsatisfying vid,
I love it.
The two most badass saves I've ever seen happened in open wheel racing. The first happened in a World of Outlaws event where Steve Kinser (in time trials) got his sprint car up on one (no- that's not a typo) wheel- the right rear in the corner after hooking the cushion. He kept his foot planted and basically hung ten around that corner before coming back down on all four, and FINISHED THE LAP. The second was in a supermodified (asphalt) at Thompson Speedway in Connecticut. The supers are extremely dependent on the top wing for downforce- and go over 170 on the straights there. In a heat race Joe Gosek completely lost his top wing going down the backstretch- at full speed. After fishtailing for about 170 feet he brought the car to a safe stop in turn four.
