Dr. Grande- This video was helpful to understand how to create a histogram in excel. This is a great resource to go back to when having to create a Histogram. Thank you for making this easy to understand and being patient in your videos.
I never realized how many options were possible in making a histogram with Excel! This tutorial has been really helpful and I look forward to using this in the future.
I never realized how many options were possible with just excel! These videos are all very interesting to watch and see what is possible with this program.
I really liked this video because I think visuals are great to include in research because it gives consumers another way to conceptualize the information presented to them. Also, I was surprised by just how easy it is to create a histogram.
The video was helpful to learn how to create a histogram in excel. I tried it myself and was surprised that it was so easy to do, as long as I followed along with your instructions.
I like the options to customize the data in Excel 2016. The green color was a great choice! I think as long as the data reads well to everyone it is a great way to make the results your own.
I think this was a good video. I am not at all proficient in using excel, but watching the video showed me the different ways a histogram could be controlled. The use of excel has always made me nervous, but watching this video gave me a little more hope. I would love to learn how to use it.
Thank you for making this video, but I have a question please. How do you start the histogram from zero whether starting on the x axis or y axis? your help would be greatly appreciated, thank you
Hello, Thank you for the video. I have been having trouble with histograms. After right-clicking on the graph and click on format plot area you will see this column appear on the right hand side. I try to click on the plot area option upside down triangle but the option box that appears quickly collapses. Have you seen this issue at all? and it only happens with histograms. Thank you.
I think it would be really helpful for everyone if you could post links to the incomplete excel files, so that people can work on them on their own computers while going along with your directions. You could have it download from the video description.
The histogram function as seen in this video was first available in 2016. Before that, the analysis toolpak (as you noted) was the only way to construct the histogram.
How can you specify the bins? Say you want the first bin to start at zero, instead of the lowest data point. That is, you want the bins to be in 30 minute increments, but you want them to start at zero (1-30, 31-60, etc?) I want to be able to show empty bins below and above my actual data, so I can compare histograms using identical scales.
I believe the histogram as a ribbon chart selection is only available for the PC version of Excel, however, the Analysis ToolPak has a histogram function.
If you can not get the histogram button to show up on MS EXCEL 20116, you have to re-save your work under the 'excel workbook' file suffix. This will update your insert ribbon. Hope this helps you!

Excel 2016 looks pretty slick. I like how easy it is to completely customize the way the data are presented and the look of the histogram.

This video was a helpful add-on to the video we previously watched. Excel has so many features and can be manipulated so much!

Hello. Thanks for this video. I can't find the icon for Statistics charts on my version (Mac 2016). Can you please advise?
Same here. Appreciate if anyone can shed light on it.
no such option, not even the 'options' option
did you go on file first?
Still doesn't work.
Was the histogram feature enabled in previous versions(2010 or 13)? I remember having to use the data analysis toolpak at least in 2007.
