URIAH HEEP British LEGENDS
Lady in Black
Stealin'
Easy Livin'
UH is one of the greatest bands ever, but not much of nowadays reactions on them. Great thanks for this.
It really reminds of how the mentality has changed up until now from a peace and love message and feeling that one could feel floating in the air back then and now pure aggression and hostility ewerywhwere you look, well you can find love today to but it is not that easy. Good song
Loved them since 1970 at high school. First saw them in 1971 in Glasgow with Atomic Rooster in support. David Byron along with Ian Gillan two of the best voices in rock.
I was a senior in high school when this was new. Fine memories.
Still one of my favourite Uriah songs ❤👍🤘
That was the studio version ! Loved them in the 70s and still today ! to bad some member died some years ago ! If you wanna hear them live, you can google Uriah Heep live at KoKo ! great show !😎
Uriah Heep - Live 1973. One of the greatest live albums ever recorded. More Uriah Heep please!
Yes!!!! Which one do you recommend should be next?
There’s so many! Here’s a great live version of Stealin’

@@jacquelinevanbierk salisbury, from the second album, extraordinary
Nice to see you react to legendaru rock band JBB
dude the greatest live album was Made In Japan
Love Uriah Heep, and this song is just such a vibe...and I can see you felt it too. Their most famous song is "Easy Livin'" and it's a must for you to hear. Cheers!
Thank you. I'll have to check it out!
I was lucky enough to see these guys live a number of occasions and they were absolutely brilliant. A very, very underrated band.
I tried to get on live chat during this reaction but I had problems with my phone connection. So once again I missed in chatting with my fav girl. By the Way great classic rock band Uriah heap. Much love wintersun Alex ❄️❤️🌹👑👋
No worries, technology can be a pita 😂 I'm glad I got to see you though ;)
I got your reply I'll try to be on your next reaction which I believe is black Sabbath correct my queen ? Wintersun Alex ❄️❤️🌹👑
Nice reaction Jacqueline. Uriah Heep have many great songs. Other songs Rainbow Demon, Circle Of Hands, Pilgrim, July Morning, Weep In Silence, Beautiful Dream, Rain, and the song that hit the charts was Easy Living. Uriah Heep was at there very best between 1970 to 1976 with David Byron as the singer. When David Byron quit the band they were never the same even though still very good. David Byron has the best vocal out there.
I will check it out
Thank you, that's usually the way it goes. I have to investigate that. ❤
Underrated band, love heep probably operated by the three.
July Morning, Sunrise, Come Away Melinda, Circle of Hands, so many great songs, rock harmonies is their forte. Mick Box, the guitarist, once said in an interview that we’re like Deep Puple, except we have five vocalists to their one.
That's so awesome!
"July Morning", "Sunrise", "Gypsy" and "The Magician's Birthday" are among Heep's best tunes. My personal favorite is "Paradise/The Spell".
I love Paradise/The Spell
@@MichaelAngeles-dn9ne , Back when I was young, I attempted to illustrate the lyrics as comic book panels, with Darkness and Light battling for eternity...that's what I imagine whenever I listen to it...
Thank you so much! I love their sound and message. I'm looking forward to more.
The first "rock" group i owned albums from back in 75 ish 😁. I am Norwegian.
You can't go wrong with Uriah Heep ... < this is a one of band! Give "July Morning" a listen if you got time (as it is a long song) or if you want to go short and wild: "Easy Living" or "Look At Yourself".
One of the best rock voices ever - up there with Ian Gillan as tied for #1 for me personally.
I agree, what an amazing voice!
And Jacqueline takes another step on the road to realisation ;) Great reaction to a great band.
haha, yes!!!!
The great David Byron and New Zealand's greatest export .. the great Gary Thain on bass
They got the name Uriah Heep from Dickens David Copperfield . Uriah heep was a villan . You don't get to really experience the singers incredible falsetto in this song that was commonly played by street musicians back in the day .
"Stealin"
Grande Huriah Heep!!
Ken Hensley, además de cantar fué el gran tecladista y compositor de muchas canciones 😊... pero, la voz de David Byron es divina ❤ , sólo puedo compararla con el GRAN IAN GILLAN de Deep Purple 💜
Gracias!!
Uriah Heep was indeed a very talented group with many excellent songs. Aside: the echo effect which speeds up and rises in pitch is accomplished with the original "echoplex" tape machine. Not today's "delay" boxes.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Echoplex
A tape loop records the sounds, and a playback head is located downstream of the tape, and you can move this pickup head towards and away from the record head, to change the period of the echo. You can also alter the tape speed. Then the playback signal is fed back into the record head, often with some decay or other effects added. Nothing in the digital world sounds like a tape echo machine. It is used extensively by many bands back then, most noticeably by Pink Floyd, even in live performances such as:
ruclips.net/video/CK_BcyKOAt4/видео.html (Pink Floyd - One Of These Days (PULSE Restored & Re-Edited))
The bass is run through a tape echo machine, to change 1/4 notes into 1/16th notes... But Floyd routinely uses an echo machine on some vocals and guitar parts too, having foot pedals to engage and disengage it, or having sound people on a console during live concerts.
I am so pleased to hear a reaction to this band and song. Uriah Heep was great favourite of mine in my teens
My pleasure!
You are the first Reactor (I guess that`s it) to do Uriah Heap from what I`ve seen. If you are digging the 70`s check out J. Giles Band or Mahavishnu orchestra and maybe Be Bop Delux
That's impossible, haha Such a great band ;) I am digging the 70's. I'll check it out.
Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath and Uriah Heep. A big part of the soundtrack of my youth. Robin Trower is another name that is worth checking out some of the big songs off of the classic Robin Trower Bridge of Sighs album, the title track , Day of the Eagle or Too Rolling Stoned.
I will check him out. Thank you.
What a great band and this was a great lineup for the band. They are still around today, but only guitarist Mick Box is left as an original member. They current stuff is quite good but their 1970s music was on another level. The Demon's and Wizards album is my favorite but they had great songs on all those albums. The song you most likely know is probably Easy Livin' or maybe Stealin'. But there are so many, July Morning, Travelers in Time, Gypsy, Bird of Prey and so many more.
Awesome. Thank you, I'll check it out.
You've probably heard "Easy Living" before. Another great song of theirs I like a lot is "Lady In Black". Great reaction!
Thank you!
Through the mid 70's when they still had David singing they were as good as anybody! One of my fav bands. David had such a great voice and the band harmonized so great and rocked out but at the same time were smooth as butter and just flowed!!! They should have been bigger and should be in the HOF!
There best song as far as Im concerned.
Heep is like fine wine only gets better with age
Yep!!! :)
Great reation to a great s song.
Thank you!
In 1972 this went well with a hit of chocolate mescaline.
their song "Stealin" off the Sweet Freedom is killer......"Sunrise" off the live album......RIP David Byron, Ken Hensley, Lee Kerslake, and Gary Thain
Back in the day the Deep Purple Made in Japan album, Uriah Heep Demons and Wizards (and Freedom) were constantly in rotation. Literally. Cause they were records...
David byron 1947 1986
Hello my beautiful eyecandy. Wintersun Alex ❄️❤️🌹
Hello 😊
One of the best 5 rock-metal bands with Black Sabbath,Led Zeppelin,Deep Purple and Blue Oyster Cult🤘
Oh, we gotta do Led Zeppelin and Blue Oyster Cult!
One of the first bands I was into way back in 74 !! Just listened to Demons the other day .
I need more 😅
Miss the old days
Thank god for youtube :)

Blind Guardian cover this song very good
My favourite of theirs is "Come Away Melinda" - you might need tissues!
Thank you, I will check that out.

Do you have a link?
Saw them a month ago, still sounding great! Check out Stealin'
That's freaking, awesome!
So many musical directions were started in the 70s.
Progrock, Jazzrock and Metal began. Nowadays everything sounds "recycled" to me, because I grew up in that aera. Today they make a fart sound like Pavarotti with their technical possibilities.
But Rock will always be there, when you put the dirt aside.
I love the music of the 70s.
The fashion you can keep 😂.
Other big hits of Uriah Heep are "Easy Living" and the iconic (but boring 😜) "Lady in Black".
Better listen to "July Morning" or "Sunrise".
Thanks for all the info. Haha, you don't like the fashion :P
