Hey Connor, Some restaurants choose to have their own delivery drivers though many seem to struggle with finding people to fill these driver jobs and retain them. Many restaurants tend to go through other apps or providers for delivery. There are several ways to go about online ordering and delivery so finding what works best for your restaurant is key. You've mentioned a French bistro in other comments. Do you guys do online ordering and delivery already or are you looking to start that soon?
How do you create a dedicated page for a menu item connected to the ordering if the website (squarespace) is a different site than the ordering page (toast)?
Hey! Whether or not you can do this depends on how your service providers are set up. You will often not be able to attach your OLO to your site if they come from different companies. However, there are companies out there that offer coverage of both your online ordering and website so that they are optimized for SEO and attached to the same domain. We do this at Owner if you want to check it out!
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and guidance. What are the different ways to collect people's emails? and what are the most effective ways to use the emails you gather? thank you
Hello! I’m happy to hear that you enjoyed this video. A great time for restaurants to collect emails is at the point of the transaction. You can use email addresses to send out email drop campaigns, send out notices about events or limited time specials and items, or for pushing your rewards program. Do you do anything now to collect emails?
Yes! Keywords that reflect a popular dish on your menu is a great way to go about it. I always say to think of what customers are frequently going to be searching online. Pad Thai, burgers, and pizza are all popular so they do great in keywords. Consider what you offer on your menu that has popularity with the masses!
Amazing content video. Hi, Adam, I’m running Chinese restaurant in blue bell, what’s primary and secondary keywords for Chinese restaurant in blue bell, I value your recommendation or any idea.
Hi Christine! Thank you for commenting. Try keywords that reflect your overall cuisine type and some that reflect popular dishes. Examples are “best Chinese food in Blue Bell,” “best orange chicken in Blue Bell,” and “best sesame chicken in Blue Bell.”
Hey Shawn! Try keywords that reflect your cuisine type and popular items. I’d suggest “best gumbo in Farmers Branch,” “best Caribbean food in Farmers Branch,” and “best Cajun food in Farmers Branch.” All of these would appeal to popular searches in your area that your restaurant matches up with.
Hey Adam, thank you for sharing so much information for free. In your experience, which website builder do restaurants have the easiest control with? And do different hosting platforms have stronger SEO algorithms?
Hello, I'm glad that you've been enjoying our content! I've got a lot of new videos on the way too. Website builders are tricky. It can be really difficult to build an optimal website for a restaurant using a lot of the free versions online. What goals were you hoping to have on your website? Are you specifically wanting your website to improve search rankings or were you hoping to add a online ordering platform or loyalty program too?
@@owner-com Mainly, Improve search rankings. My current site built on Wordpress and is controlled by a company that we pay a monthly fee to maintain. I’m wanting to move to another platform like Squarespace so I can have more control and implement the SEO strategies you talk about. As for ordering, I’ll be using POS integration CTAs on the site. I don’t need an entire custom ordering system (we are fine dining and takeout is not as high of volume as a casual restaurant so SEO is the focus for us). Thanks!
I Found Wordpress and Elementor quite easy to navigate! You can build your website on the free version of elementor, but elementor pro has more features but not completely necessary. I built 2 different website brands, one on elementor and one on pro :)
Auntie Anne's Pretzels & Jamba (it's a dual franchise street side location near the Michigan State University campus) serving fresh pretzels and smoothies and bowls). Would love to hear your keyword research :). Thanks for the great nuggets of knowledge!
Hey Matt! Glad to hear that you’re enjoying our content. Try a cuisine keyword and a dish keyword such as “best pretzels in East Lansing,” “best dessert in East Lansing,” or “best smoothies in East Lansing.” We have lots of videos on this channel that you may like if you enjoyed this video. Feel free to give those a watch too!
Hi Adam! I just came across your channel and it has been extremely helpful! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge! I have a Dominican restaurant (Dominican Republic 🇩🇴) in Irving, TX What are some keywords recommendations? Thank you so much!
Hey! I’m so glad to hear that the content on my channel has been helpful. That’s always the goal! Try using keywords that reflect your cuisine type and popular dishes within it that people are likely to be searching for. I’d suggest “best Dominican food in Irving,” “best Caribbean food in Irving,” “best mofongo in in Irving,” or “best mangu in Irving.”
hy adam your knowledge has been extremely useful i am looking for keywords for our restaurant named dum n rum which is an Indian restaurant in Brisbane, Australia what are your keyword recommendations for that? thanks
Hey there! Thank you so much for the kindness. I’m happy to hear that these videos are helpful for you. Try “best Indian food in Brisbane,” “best kerala food in Brisbane,” and “best cocktails in Brisbane.” All of these reflect your popular items in your reviews and your cuisine type.
Generally, the best practice is to nail the top 5 citations (Google, Yelp, TripAdvisor, YellowPages, CitySearch). From there, the more the merrier. First best step to take the GBP profile up are ensuring that every field is filled out properly. The more information, the better it will rank. From there, generating lots of 5 star reviews by asking customers for feedback tends to really help.
Amazing content! I was wondering if I Could ask a Questions. Would you have any Content about How our website should look or any structure for optimal results? Thank you!
Hello! Sure, I have a few tips for websites. There are three things that I typically recommend for a restaurant website right off the bat. The first one is to use keywords (which is largely covered in this video!) Keywords are a key way to attract people to your website via search engine visibility. I also recommend including high-quality pictures of popular menu items as one of the first things that someone will see when they visit your website. This will help you capture someone’s attention when they land on your website and encourages them to continue engaging with your site. Minimize the amount of text that you are putting in front of website visitors because text is more likely to make people click away than it is to get their attention. Lastly, if you are going to offer online ordering on your website, then I recommend attaching that online ordering platform to the same domain as your website, but create a landing page for it. For example, you could have restaurantexample.com as the domain and restaurantexample.com/order for your OLO. Hope this helps!
What keywords should you try to go after for a restaurant that has a little bit of everything? They have a rotating seasonal menu...would love to hear your thoughts on Bayberry Garden, Providence RI!
Hey, thank you for leaving a comment! I’d try keywords that cater to what you are consistently offering. I noticed that commonly mention words in your Google reviews include brunch, cocktails, and oysters. Try keywords like “best oysters in Providence,” “best brunch in Providence,” or “best cocktails in Providence.” Feel free to check out some of the other videos on the channel for more content like this or head to Owner.com and sign up for a free demo to see how we provide services like this on our platform!
hi! i work for firehouse in bakersfield, california. we offer multiple forms of entertainment such as pool, bowling, and mechanical bull rides. we have a full bar and show a lot of sports on our tvs and projectors as well. we offer everything from pizzas and wings to grilled chicken and deep-pit. i’m not quite sure what our most popular dish is, if i had to assume it would be pizza or wings.
Hi Rebecca! Thank you for taking a second to comment. Try "best wings in Bakersfield" and "best pizza in Bakersfield." I searched for the restaurant online and saw a Southwest and Rosedale location. Southwest reviews mention tacos a good bit. You could try "best tacos in Bakersfield" there too.
you're doing very great, I will bet you, you're gonna be in a good position in the next 5 years. can you please suggest some keywords for takeaway in the UK they are selling chicken wings, burgers, fries that kind of stuff, and that would be much appreciated
Hello! I appreciate the kind words. I'd be happy to give you some keywords. Is there a restaurant name and city you can provide so I can give you more specific examples?
Sure! SEO tricks like this work for juice bars too. I looked up your juice bar to get some more context. Try "best juice in Morrisville" Do you have a top selling flavor that people tend to ask for? Sorry for the late reply, things have been busy! Thanks for supporting and feel free to check out some of our other videos for more restaurant marketing tips.
Hey Adam, thank you for the information. I am opening my own brunch spot soon in Europe and I want 1 platform where I can keep track of everything so I think I'll give Owner a try. What SEO tools would you suggest to use to build from the ground up?
Hey there! Glad to hear you found some useful information in this video. Unfortunately, the Owner platform isn’t available in Europe yet. However, if you want help with your SEO, I’d be happy to provide some insight. Do you already have a Google listing for your restaurant?
Nice content mate! Can you gel us find the best keywords for our middle eastern restaurant based in Sydney, Australia? The name of the shop is Lillah Middle Eastern
Hey Pedro! Thank you for the compliment and I’m glad that you’ve enjoyed our content! I’d suggest using keywords that reflect popular items in your visiting type and your menu. Try “best falafel food in Sydney” or “best shawarma in Sydney” Feel free to check out the content we have uploaded on the channel for more videos like this one. We have a lot more on the way too!
Thanks for the kind words, Alan! It's always awesome to hear that people are enjoying our content. We have a bunch more content coming! Do you own a restaurant?
It absolutely can be with the right plug ins! Our website builder at Owner.com is the most optimized, but Wordpress can be a cheaper alternative if you have a lower budget.
Hi Maria! Thank you for commenting. Do you have a restaurant name and city you could provide? I could provide more specific and relevant examples this way.
Owner loves you, Moe! Thank you for being such an amazing user of the product. I'm inspired by all you and Omar have been able to achieve in such a short period of the time.
Hey there! Love this video! My restaurants are White Tiger Gourmet in Athens, GA and White Tiger Deluxe in Watkinsville, GA. Looking for my primary and secondary keywords.
Hello! So glad you enjoyed this video! From what I can see online, your restaurant fits the brunch and American cuisine type. Try keywords like “best brunch in Athens” or “best American food in Watkinsville.” Your reviews tend to mention two popular dishes: BBQ and burgers. Try keywords like “best BBQ in Athens” and “best burgers in Watkinsville” You can use all of these keyword examples and swap out the cities for both of your locations. If you want more insight on how to build an online presence for restaurants, feel free to check out our website at Owner.com and sign up for a free demo. Would love to chat!
Let's not forget the original purpose of the alt tags. For screen readers for visually impaired website guests. So by all means get your keywords in there but leave a good description of the images well.
Hey there! Even though it wasn't mentioned, you're right! Providing a good description of the image is also important to the functionality of alt-tags. Thanks for the helpful comment and taking the time to share it with us.
Hello! Try “best fine dining in *city*” or “best steak in *city*” Both of these reflect your overall cuisine type and a dish that is most commonly searched for in fine dining.
@owner-com You are very intelligent and inspirational for a young man! My company is new and I have a lot to learn but I have the same heart as you. I really want to help people! I just gained a client who has a restaurant and she has been brought to tears many times and I really want to help her. Thank God for putting your content in my path! I pray for your protection and continuous growth to inspire and help many more! God bless you my brother!
Hi Adam, Thank you for such an insightful video. My restaurant is an African / Western concept (Afrofusion). So African food and western cuisine made with African spices. We are located in Kamloops, Bc. We have alot of popular items because a lot of people are trying our cuisine out. I'd say the most popular are Jollof Rice and Rasta pasta. What Seo can i use with primary and secondary. Also do you do 1 on 1 consultations. I believe i am in a unique area with a unique product and would benefit greatly from expert advice like yours. I would love for us to be one of your success stories even though we are so niche!
Hey there! Try key words like “best African food in Kamloops,” “best jollof rice in Kamloops,” and “best rasta pasta in Kamloops.” Each of these reflects your cuisine type and your two most popular dishes and popular searches in your area. At the moment, Owner is only available in the U.S but we have plans to expand! You’ll hear about it on our channel when we do make our way into Canada.
Best keywords for a burger restaurant in Medellín ? And also a question how we use keywords in places like medellin that the first language is Spanish but also there is a lot of tourism that speak English in wish language we should build the webpage and everything?
Hey Giuseppe! I would recommend using keywords that can cater to both languages. I searched for burger restaurants in Medellin and the top results all include restaurant that incorporate both languages. Try keywords like “mejores hamburguesas en Medellin” and be sure to label your online menu in both languages.
Hey Adam, I mentioned this in a reply I left you on another video as well. Try creating different landing pages for each location. Talkin' Tacos in Florida is a great example of this if you want to check out their website!
Hi, I have restaurant call Olina in Tokyo, it is fine dining French restaurant, with seasonal product, natural wine, fermentation, and nice design restaurant. What will be my best keyword ?
Hello! Use keywords that reflect both your overall cuisine type and popular dishes. Try “best French food in Tokyo” and “best wine in Tokyo.” If you have popular dishes, try this format “best *dish* in Tokyo.”
Appreciate you stopping by and taking the time to leave a comment. I tried searching your restaurant online and was not able to find a dedicated website. Can you confirm your website address so I can take a look and share some ideas?
Hi Caroline! Try “best coffee in Middlebury” and “best pasta in Middlebury.” These reflect popular items that people mention about your restaurant in reviews and your cuisine type!
Hello Matthew. Happy to hear that you took something away from this video! Do you have a restaurant name and city you could provide? I could give more specific and relevant examples this way.
Hey there Jon! I researched your restaurant a bit and it looks like you guys have some popular food/drinks and specialty items that are gluten free and vegan. Try keywords like “best tacos in Athens,” “best vegan food in Athens,” “best gluten free food in Athens,” and “best Bloody Mary in Athens.” Thank you for the kind comment and supporting our channel!
Hello! Is ROUX the name of your restaurant? I tried to find it on Google, but didn’t see a Google listing pop up. I can give you specific keyword suggestions by looking at your restaurant’s current online presence.
What if your restaurant is very niche and you are trying to attract new customers to try your food. We have an Ethiopian Restaurant in a very touristy town and i fear being too specific wont do much. What do you think?
Hello! If you’re worried about having a niche cuisine type then you could consider generalizing it a bit more. Try something like “best African food in *city*”
Hello! I would suggest keywords that reflect your popular items and cuisine type. Try "best coffee in Roodepoort" or "best breakfast in Roodepoort." Thank you for commenting! I have a bunch of videos already posted that you may find helpful too so feel free to check those out!
Hey Annie, Thank you for supporting our channel and I appreciate the feedback. We'll definitely keep it mind for future videos. Hope you have had the chance to check out some of our newer videos and subscribe. We have a lot of great new videos coming your way.
Hey Jackie! Thank you for the kind words. I’m glad you’ve enjoyed our videos! I searched through your Google listing a bit to get an idea of the food you serve and what customers seem to rave about most from your restaurant. Try using keywords like “best Mediterranean food in Los Angeles,” “best Shawarma in Los Angeles” and “best kabobs in Los Angeles” If you want more help with your restaurant marketing, feel free to check out some of the other videos we have on the channel or sign up for a free demo on the Owner.con website. We do a lot of this for restaurants already and would love to chat a bit more about Mirage Grill!
Hey Adam! Very useful and entertaining content! Much appreciated! Im trying to help my friend local business with some digital marketing. It’s called La Parrilla Wholesome in Gibraltar. What keywords should I focus on?
Hey Máté! Thank you for taking the time to comment. I'm glad to hear that you enjoy our content. I did some research on the restaurant and it looks like La Parilla focuses on Chinese and Indian food. Try keywords that include the cuisine type: "best Indian food in Gibraltar" and "best Chinese food in Gibraltar." You can also incorporate popular food items from these two cuisine styles such as "best butter masala in Gibraltar" or "best teriyaki in Gibraltar" Hope this helps!
Hey Adam. I found a lot of the info really useful. Instead of saying “best birria tacos in Miramar” could talkin tacos have achieved the same result using “birria tacos in Miramar” on their alt text? Thanks, and let me know
Hey Christopher! I appreciate your interest in understanding how our website's SEO works. Our website design aims to connect you with as many searches in your area as possible. Whether guests are looking for "Best Birria Tacos" or simply "Birria tacos," our website design helps capture both of these results. "Best Birria Tacos in Miramar" will be connected with both searches because the keywords are associated with both queries. While "Birria Tacos in Miramar" would still perform adequately, it's worth noting why we include "Best" here. "Best" is the most commonly associated adjective with guests' search results. Ultimately, we can tap into those additional searches and ensure we're surpassing restaurant competitors in your area. Not to mention the more your restaurant is searched, the more likely it will appear in future searches as well.
Hey Nicole! Try “best Korean BBQ in *city*” or “best *popular dish* in *city.” Both of these keyword templates will help you create phrases that reflect local search results as well as searches that are looking for your cuisine type in your area.
Hi Adam - My Tex -Mex restaurant specializes and mostly sell Chimichangas. Should i make my key words / Alt Text - Burritos or Chimichangas? thanks again ! - You've already helped soo much. JB
Hey JB! I absolutely love to hear how helpful my content has been for you. That’s what this channel is all about! Thank you for the support. You want your keywords to appeal to popular searches so I would try both of the ones you suggested! “Best burritos in *city” and “best chimichangas in *city” I’d also try keywords that appeals to your overall cuisine type like “best Tex Mex in *city*” and “best Mexican in *city*” We do a lot of this kind of thing at Owner. If you want more specific insight from one of our specialists or want to see how we do it through our platform, feel free to sign up for a free demo on our website at Owner.com. Otherwise, look out for new content. We have a lot more on the way!
Hi Adam, thanks for this video. Can you give me an example of what my primary and secondary keywords would be for my restaurant Laterbena Fantastica. it is a restaurant based in Benehavis Spain but is also an attractive spot for tourists. so preferably I'd like the keywords in both the local language (Spanish) and English. Thank You
Hey Connor! Awesome to hear that this video was helpful for you. We have a ton of videos like this on our channel. Feel free to check those out too for some other restaurant marketing gems. Thank you for supporting the channel!
Hey Dmitry! Absolutely. LOVE your concept by the way, am very into healthy bowls. Adding details for you on best primary and secondary keywords below. Your best primary keyword for SEED Eatery is going to be "Healthy Restaurant in Rehoboth Beach". You've already done a great job of putting it in the metatitle of your website (the first step) but it also needs to be in the H1 tag on your website which is the first big headline on your site. Currently, that text just says SEED Eatery which is not very keyword rich. The best secondary keyword for SEED Eatery is going to be Healthy Bowl. This gets 20 queries per month on Google of people with high intent to buy! I recommend creating a unique landing page describing your healthy bowls (with buttons to your online ordering) as well as adding it to your meta title. There are all things you can do to yourself to see a boost in SEO. If you want us to see if we can do this all for you (and more) using our platform, feel free to visit Owner.com/demo or send me an email (Adam@Owner.com) and I'll personally take you through a demo to see if we can help. With our platform, we guarantee your success and satisfaction so there's no risk to try it out!
Hey there! I'm happy to provide some insight. Try using keywords that reflect popular dishes and your cuisine type. I'd suggest "best empanadas in Caracas" to start. If you want to comment the name of the restaurant, I can provide more specific examples.
Hello! I would recommend adding keywords to your website that will help you improve your search visibility. Try keywords like “best cheesesteaks in Springfield,” “best burgers in Springfield,” and “best sandwiches in Springfield.” I also typically recommend minimizing the amount of text you’re presenting website visitors with. Text can actually deter people from engaging with your website because reading text is a higher effort activity when website visitors are looking for quick and easy information about your restaurant. Instead of text, focus on providing links ensure visitors with high quality images of your most popular dishes to quickly capture their attention and encourage them to visit your online ordering platform. Thank you for commenting and watching our content! Please feel free to check out our other content if you enjoyed this video. Our platform also covers a lot of the things restaurants need to have a strong marketing strategy so if you’re looking for something more in depth, sign up for a free demo on our website at Owner.com.
Hi Adam, I have a south indian pure veg restaurant: 1. Can you suggest key words 2. Does seo tricks differ by demographics for india? 3. Please make your tool available in India
Hi, thanks so much for all this info! Working on creating a new website for Running Rooster in Hollister, California and would love to hear your thoughts on keywords. Thank you!
Hey Pilar! It looks like pizza and tacos are some of the most popular menu items, so I'd recommend creating pages for each of those popular dishes with keywords such as "Best Margherita Pizza in Hollister CA" and "Best Baja Fish Tacos in Hollister California". The homepage itself should be "Best American restaurant in Hollister, California" since that's a valuable keyword it's already ranking for. Here's an example of a restaurant that has created a dish-specific page ranking at the top for "Best Birria Tacos in Miramar Florida": talkintacos.net/miramar/order/birria See how they bring in dozens of dish-specific reviews and a description of the dish? That really helps with ranking and is how they're at the top. If you want the SEO done for you so that you can focus on the marketing management and menu building, I'd recommend doing a free demo with our team at Owner.com.
Hey Brent! After clicking around your website a bit, its clear you guys put a a lot of effort into showing off your restaurant's brand. I noticed that you're using one domain for online ordering and a different one for your restaurant 's website. What that means is that the benefit you would see on SEO from having people click around and spend money on your platform is lost. The Google algorithm sees this as people spending a little bit of time on your website then clicking away from it rather quickly. Your ordering platform also doesn't include any images of the food you serve. People tend to eat with their eyes and are far more likely to place an order when they are met with photos of what they could be getting. If you want more insight for your restaurant, feel free to check out some of our other videos or visit our website at Owner.com and sign up for a free demo of our platform meant to help restaurants like yours with these kinds of things. Would love to chat! Thank you for leaving a comment and supporting our channel.
Hello! Try keywords like “best brunch in San Antonio” and “best kosher food in San Antonio” Both of these reflect popular words mentioned in your reviews and your cuisine type.
We own a Healthy Cafe, where we serve protein shakes, protein smoothies, Energizing Refreshers, Acai bowls, and protein donuts. Which keywords do you think would be best?
Hey there! Try keywords like “best smoothies in *city*” and best “açaí bowls in *city*” You may also want to include keywords that reflect things that are likely to be important to someone wanting to eat at a health conscious cafe. Try “sustainably sourced,” “ethically sourced,” “freshly made,” etc.
Great content really Helpful my family owns a Pizzeria in San Marcos its called Sunnys pizza and wings could you help me with keywords and any recommendations your recommendations is appreciated thank you 😊
Hey Karim! Thank you for dropping a comment. It may be helpful to focus on keywords that reflect your cuisine type and popular items at your restaurant. Based on what I see online for Sunny’s Pizza and Wings, I would suggest “best pizza in San Marcos,” “best wings in San Marcos,” and “best pepperoni pizza in San Marcos.” I have a ton of other videos that may help you with other marketing strategies. Feel free to check out our website at Owner.com and sign up for a free demo if you want to go over how we do this for other restaurants too!
Thank you, Raul! I appreciate you taking the time to comment and hope to see you around future videos. Just started posting consistently but will get many subscribers in time!
Hey there! Thank you for watching and subscribing. We have a ton more content on the way that I’m sure you’ll enjoy if you liked this one. Try keywords like “best Asian fusion in Houston” and “best tacos in Houston.” Both of these reflect your overall cuisine type and a popular dish while also reflecting commonly searched terms that will help you with search visibility.
Hey Larina! Best keywords for a Thai restaurant in Sydney Australia are (1) "Thai Restaurant in Sydney", (2) "Thai food in Sydney", and (3) "Pad Thai in Sydney". Each has over 10,000 monthly queries in that city, so if you rank for any one of them it becomes super valuable.
Hey there. Thank you for commenting! I saw that the "website" button on your google listing takes people to a shared website for all the Urban Skillet locations. Having a store specific web page would help you build SEO specific to to your store's location. I also noticed that you're using Clover for online ordering and that online ordering platform is attached to it's own domain rather than being attached to your restaurant domain. This means that when people click onto your online ordering and spend money on there, your restaurant domain and SEO isn't seeing the benefit of that. I googled "best burgers in Northridge California" and your restaurant doesn't pop up in the results. Try adding keywords that relate to that search such as "best burgers in Northridge." If you want more help with your restaurant, feel free to check out some of our other videos or visit our website at Owner.com and sign up for a free demo of our platform meant to help restaurants like yours with these kinds of things. @@owner-com please also suggest how we can show the dedicated review page on the website as per the famous dish (or do you mean to create a page on menu named "Dishes Review" = please clarify
Hey Jonathan! Keywords depend on the specific offering and location of the restaurant. The framework “best *dish* in *city*” is a great one to use. A corner pub in Los Angeles might try something like “best beer in Los Angeles” or “best fish and chips in Los Angeles” or “best chicken wings in Los Angeles.”
Hey there, Thank you for leaving a comment! I looked through your site and reviews to get an idea of what your most popular items are. Some keywords for your restaurant would be “best sandwiches in Scottsdale” and “best wraps in Scottsdale” Feel free to check out our channel for more restaurant marketing content like this!
Help w keywords? Our name is Huckleberry Grill. Our food is... kinda comfort food but not really. Kinda southern, but not really. Kinda western, but not really. ??? Our main dishes are: grilled chicken, grilled pork tenderloin w huckleberry sauce, smoked tri tip steak, and Mormon / Utah funeral potatoes. We only have tri tip, so we're not a steak house.
Hey Yesmine! Thanks for commenting. I searched up a few of the locations and saw that the "website" button for each location went to different pages. Some took me to a Facebook page and others took me to the main website. Having location specific web pages would help you build SEO specific to each store based on their location. I also noticed that the online ordering platform you're using is Square. When people click onto your online ordering and spend money on there, your website and SEO isn't seeing the benefit of that because people are being driven over to an ordering platform that is attached to a different domain than the one you use for the main website. I googled "best Thai food in Richardson" and your location comes up 7th on the list despite having more reviews and rating average. The tips above will help you move up that list. If you want more help with your restaurant, feel free to check out some of our other videos or visit our website at Owner.com and sign up for a free demo of our platform meant to help restaurants like yours with these kinds of things. Would love to chat!
Hey Rahul! Thank you for leaving a comment. Some keywords for you would be “best tikka masala in Leeds” or “best butter chicken in Leeds.” These appeal to some of the most popular and searched for Indian dishes and can improve your search rank when potential customers are looking for those dishes in your area.
Hey Clarence! Your Google listing mentions that you're a recently opened spot. It's always a good idea to encourage your customers to leave reviews on Google to help boost your search rank and create credibility with any prospective customers that come across The Icy Spot online. Try using keywords like "best Italian ice in Fayetteville" and "best ice cream in Fayetteville." Thank you for taking a second to comment and support our channel!
Hey Darian! Thank you for leaving a comment and supporting the channel. It looks like the major draw to your business is events. Try "best Karaoke in Winnipeg" or "Billiards in Winnipeg." For more food focused keywords, try "best steak in Winnipeg."
Hey Ryan! One of the first things I noticed is that you have a great average rating on Google, but not a lot of reviews. The bar scene in any big city can be pretty competitive so I’d recommend increasing your review count to give your 4.8 average a lot more credibility. This could help you standout from the crowd of other bars people will see alongside yours online. I’d also suggest adding keywords to attract people who are searching for relevant terms. Try “best happy hour in Los Angeles,” “best brunch in Los Angeles,” or “best bar in Los Angeles.” Thank you for supporting us. Hope this helps!
Hey Arwinder! Thank you for commenting. Try keywords like “best Greek food in Lisbon” or “best gyros in Lisbon.” These keywords reflect some of the most popular items on your menu and most commonly searched for foods within your cuisine type.
Hello! I can’t see your menu online but based on the info you provided in your comment, I would suggest keywords like “best vegetarian food in Mumbai” and a popular dish keyword. Use this template: “best *popular dish* in Mumbai.”
Hi Lisa! Thank you for commenting. Try “best Korean barbecue in Bonn,” “best bulgogi in Bonn,” and “best pork ribs in Bonn.” Each of these reflect your overall cuisine type and popular search terms for your cuisine type.
Hello! Try “best seafood in Dolphin Coast” or “best pizza in Dolphin Coast.” Both of these reflect items you offer and are popular in your restaurant cuisine types!
Hey Anthony! I appreciate you taking the time to comment. Since Ethiopian food doesn't have a lot of organic demand (only 10 searches per month in the entire city of Minneapolis), it's important to rank for broader terms like "Best restaurant in West Bank Minneapolis" and "best dinner in West Bank Minneapolis", each of which have hundreds of local searches per month that you could get exposure to with the right search optimization. Hope this is helpful! Feel free to comment back if you have any questions.
Hey Aaliyah! I searched your restaurant and saw that your Google listing doesn't have a website attached to it. Creating a website would be a great first step to improving SEO. Some keywords for your restaurant would be "best Jamaican food in Stafford" and "best curry goat in Stafford." Thank you for commenting!
What keyword would you use for a fine dining? seasonal? tasting menu?
Hey there!
What is the name and city of the restaurant? I can give you more specific suggestions.
@@owner-com it is in Beirut city and name of restaurant is ‘Ese’
I can't believe how much I just learned!
thank you Coby! I appreciate you taking the time to comment and am so glad this was helpful to you
When you have sales going through the website , is it just pick up orders or should you have a delivery giy
Hey Connor,
Some restaurants choose to have their own delivery drivers though many seem to struggle with finding people to fill these driver jobs and retain them. Many restaurants tend to go through other apps or providers for delivery. There are several ways to go about online ordering and delivery so finding what works best for your restaurant is key.
You've mentioned a French bistro in other comments. Do you guys do online ordering and delivery already or are you looking to start that soon?
Thank you so much, such a valuable information 💯
Thank you for the support!
What if I have a fusion restaurant, do I pick my secondary word based on our most popular item? Thanks!
Great information, what are key words we should use for our restaurant The Caribbean Cajun.
Going to do this in my restaurant right now !
Thank you so much G!
Love to hear it. Thank you for watching!
Try a cuisine keyword and a dish keyword such as “best pretzels in East Lansing,” “best dessert in East Lansing,” or “best smoothies in East Lansing.”

Hi Adam! I just came across your channel and it has been extremely helpful!
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge! I have a Dominican restaurant (Dominican Republic 🇩🇴) in Irving, TX
What are some keywords recommendations? Thank you so much!
Hey! I’m so glad to hear that the content on my channel has been helpful. That’s always the goal!
Try using keywords that reflect your cuisine type and popular dishes within it that people are likely to be searching for. I’d suggest “best Dominican food in Irving,” “best Caribbean food in Irving,” “best mofongo in in Irving,” or “best mangu in Irving.”
hy adam your knowledge has been extremely useful
i am looking for keywords for our restaurant named dum n rum which is an Indian restaurant in Brisbane, Australia
what are your keyword recommendations for that?
thanks
Great Video, Learned a lot from it. When it comes to Citations how many should we do? Also what steps should we take to bring the GMB profile up?
Generally, the best practice is to nail the top 5 citations (Google, Yelp, TripAdvisor, YellowPages, CitySearch). From there, the more the merrier.
First best step to take the GBP profile up are ensuring that every field is filled out properly. The more information, the better it will rank. From there, generating lots of 5 star reviews by asking customers for feedback tends to really help.
Great job, thx for advice and making me believe in seo 😌
I own ramen and udon restaurant, what ur recommendations for keywords? 😊
What is the name and city your restaurant is in? I can give you more specific keywords with that.
what primary and secondary keywords i could use for "Marius monaco resutant"?
Hello!
Try “best Mediterranean food in Monaco” or “best cocktails in Monaco.”
Restaurant Cocomania, breakfast and lunch, THANKS!!
Hello Myriam!
What city is your restaurant in? I wasn't able to find a restaurant with the Cocomania name online.
Try keywords like “best oysters in Providence,” “best brunch in Providence,” or “best cocktails in Providence.”

hi! i work for firehouse in bakersfield, california. we offer multiple forms of entertainment such as pool, bowling, and mechanical bull rides. we have a full bar and show a lot of sports on our tvs and projectors as well. we offer everything from pizzas and wings to grilled chicken and deep-pit. i’m not quite sure what our most popular dish is, if i had to assume it would be pizza or wings.
Hi Rebecca! Thank you for taking a second to comment.
Try "best wings in Bakersfield" and "best pizza in Bakersfield."
I searched for the restaurant online and saw a Southwest and Rosedale location.
Can this be used for juice bars?
Would love to get keywords.
Sure! SEO tricks like this work for juice bars too. I looked up your juice bar to get some more context. Try "best juice in Morrisville"

Try keywords like “best BBQ in Athens” and “best burgers in Watkinsville”
You can use all of these keyword examples and swap out the cities for both of your locations.

Thanks for the helpful comment and taking the time to share it with us.
great content, appreciate it!
Thank you, Aurelia! I appreciate your comment and kind words. Are you the owner of a restaurant?
Thanks for this. Please help. Fine dining michelin star restaurant?

Both of these reflect your overall cuisine type and a dish that is most commonly searched for in fine dining.

My restaurant name is andes burger or andes bar de hamburguesas
Hey Giuseppe!
I would recommend using keywords that can cater to both languages. I searched for burger restaurants in Medellin and the top results all include restaurant that incorporate both languages.
Try keywords like “mejores hamburguesas en Medellin” and be sure to label your online menu in both languages.
That keyword is longer that 30 letters that admit primary keywords
Blueprint Cookies in Boca Raton FL
How do you do this if you have multiple locations?
Hey Adam,

Great info! How about for ROUX, cuisine for the adventurous. Cajun/Creole
Hello! Is ROUX the name of your restaurant? I tried to find it on Google, but didn’t see a Google listing pop up. I can give you specific keyword suggestions by looking at your restaurant’s current online presence.
ROUX is our restaurant name. We are in Redmond, Oregon.
Love this content❤

Hey Jackie!
Thank you for the kind words. I’m glad you’ve enjoyed our videos!

Try keywords that include the cuisine type: "best Indian food in Gibraltar" and "best Chinese food in Gibraltar."
You can also incorporate popular food items from these two cuisine styles such as "best butter masala in Gibraltar" or "best teriyaki in Gibraltar"
Hope this helps!
What would you do for Korean bbq?
Hey Nicole!
Try “best Korean BBQ in *city*” or “best *popular dish* in *city.”
Both of these keyword templates will help you create phrases that reflect local search results as well as searches that are looking for your cuisine type in your area.
Love this. Wish ya'll operated in the UK. :) I'm opening an American-style sandwich shop and I'd love to use your service.

You want your keywords to appeal to popular searches so I would try both of the ones you suggested! “Best burritos in *city” and “best chimichangas in *city”
I’d also try keywords that appeals to your overall cuisine type like “best Tex Mex in *city*” and “best Mexican in *city*”

Can you please provide keywords for "SEED eatery" Rehoboth Beach, DE?
Hey Dmitry!

Great content. I’m trying to help a friend with an empanada restaurant in Caracas Venezuela. Any ideas for key words? In English is fine. Thanks guys
Hey there! I'm happy to provide some insight.
Try using keywords that reflect popular dishes and your cuisine type. I'd suggest "best empanadas in Caracas" to start. If you want to comment the name of the restaurant, I can provide more specific examples.
The 7th on Walnut in Springfield, Missouri
Hello!
I would recommend adding keywords to your website that will help you improve your search visibility. Try keywords like “best cheesesteaks in Springfield,” “best burgers in Springfield,” and “best sandwiches in Springfield.”
I also typically recommend minimizing the amount of text you’re presenting website visitors with.

I am located at Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, India
Great work
Thank you!
Here's an example of a restaurant that has created a dish-specific page ranking at the top for "Best Birria Tacos in Miramar Florida": talkintacos.net/miramar/order/birria
See how they bring in dozens of dish-specific reviews and a description of the dish? That really helps with ranking and is how they're at the top.
If you want the SEO done for you so that you can focus on the marketing management and menu building, I'd recommend doing a free demo with our team at Owner.com.
Maggie Maes on the Bluffs, Bellair Bluffs, FL - breakfast and lunch diner

Try adding keywords that relate to that search such as "best burgers in Northridge."

Corner Pub in Nashville?
Hey Jonathan!
Keywords depend on the specific offering and location of the restaurant. The framework “best *dish* in *city*” is a great one to use. A corner pub in Los Angeles might try something like “best beer in Los Angeles” or “best fish and chips in Los Angeles” or “best chicken wings in Los Angeles.”
The Forum Cafe Scottsdale, Scottsdale AZ

Help w keywords? Our name is Huckleberry Grill. Our food is... kinda comfort food but not really. Kinda southern, but not really. Kinda western, but not really. ??? Our main dishes are: grilled chicken, grilled pork tenderloin w huckleberry sauce, smoked tri tip steak, and Mormon / Utah funeral potatoes. We only have tri tip, so we're not a steak house.
Hey there,
Sounds like you've got your own unique mix of cuisines! What city are you in so I can give you more specific keywords?
Thai Noodle Wave (multiple locations in Dallas, TX metroplex)
you can choose any location to research (except carrolton) although we all share the same website

Rosegold Saloon, Los Angeles, CA
Try “best happy hour in Los Angeles,” “best brunch in Los Angeles,” or “best bar in Los Angeles.”
Thank you for supporting us. Hope this helps!

Red Sea Ethiopian Restaurant in Minneapolis, MN
Hey Anthony! I appreciate you taking the time to comment. Since Ethiopian food doesn't have a lot of organic demand (only 10 searches per month in the entire city of Minneapolis), it's important to rank for broader terms like "Best restaurant in West Bank Minneapolis" and "best dinner in West Bank Minneapolis", each of which have hundreds of local searches per month that you could get exposure to with the right search optimization.
Hope this is helpful! Feel free to comment back if you have any questions.
Taste of Jamaica - Stafford Va
Hey Aaliyah!
I searched your restaurant and saw that your Google listing doesn't have a website attached to it. Creating a website would be a great first step to improving SEO.
Some keywords for your restaurant would be "best Jamaican food in Stafford" and "best curry goat in Stafford."
