I just got hired in at a restaurant for marketing and this is on my list of improvements for the restaurant. Your content really helps, especially for someone new to this industry. The Restaurant I work for is Alanos in Dearborn Michigan
Hey! Welcome to the world of restaurant marketing! I’d be happy to help.
I went to the restaurant’s website and saw that the ordering platform on your site is on a separate domain than the domain used for the website. This means that the restaurant site domain isn’t seeing any of of the SEO benefits that come with people spending money on your ordering platform.
It looks like the ordering platform that is attached is Storefront from DoorDash. Is that where you see most of the online business coming in or are other ordering channels more popular?
What things have helped you for marketing?
bro your videos are great, and very informative, but i think you should slow it down a little. it sounds like one of those ads that are rushing there words to hide something. These videos are meant to be informative, not saleslike.
How did your friend direct customers ftom ordering from the delivery app to ordering directly from his website?

Hi Zaire! I'm glad this video helped you with your delivery struggles. It's definitely a huge pain for lots of restaurant owners. Do you do a lot of delivery through third parties now or are you hoping to increase your online sales?

Hey there!
If you are focusing your business on online traffic, it may be helpful for you to steer your website visitors to a direct online ordering platform instead of entirely third party. Having direct online ordering could help you save a ton on commission fees while also building your SEO. Direct online ordering paired with a strong website could do wonders for your online traffic.
Brilliant presentation! Thanks Adam.
Thank you for watching, Henry!
Very interesting but I just don't understand how your custom app can handle delivery/courier service for customers ?
You can partner with white label solutions that offer this. Doordash actually have a very reasonable white label offer on this in my country (Australia - not sure about US) where it is a flat fee (not commission based) and is much easier to work into your costings (i.e passing x amount onto the customer, and/or setting a minimum order amount)
Hey there!
We use the same driver network as DoorDash and UberEats so we’ve got a lot of capacity for delivery drivers.
Do you own a restaurant?
My question, if I build my app what about the delivery service? Do I have to own my delivery system or team?
Hello! There are providers out there that build apps and set you up with delivery service. Some restaurants may choose to set to also add in house drivers.
Do you already have an open restaurant?
So who deliver the orders that are ordered from our own app or from owner’s website?
Hey Yume! Thank you for commenting.
We use the same driver network as DoorDash and Ubereats. Do you do delivery at your own restaurant?
@@owner-com But how does that work, can I drive clients from my socials and use ubereats drivers for less commission??

Hello Isaac!
I would recommend increasing your number of reviews and average rating on Google. Your Google listing will be one of the first things someone sees for your business and will set a first impression about what you offer and how you stack up against local competitors. I did a quick search and your top ranking competitors in search results have a 4.5-4.6 average rating and several hundreds of reviews. Increasing your average and number of reviews will help you better compete with the other options people will be finding online alongside yours.
Try using keywords on your site to improve your search rank like "best ice cream in Los Banos."
Thank you for watching!

The first thing I see when I find a restaurant online is that you have a great average rating on Google, but not a lot of reviews. I would recommend increasing the amount of reviews you have so that you can give your high rating a lot more credibility and stand out amongst the other options that people will be finding online alongside your restaurant.
I would also recommend using keywords on your website that will help you appeal to local searches. Try something like “best pasta in Smithfield” or “best burgers in Smithfield.”

Hello! I tried to search for your business online but I couldn’t find a Google listing. Do you have one?
So how exactly do restaurants use third party apps to eventually convert customers to their own online ordering system?
Should you just use third party apps to build your customer base and then through offline and online marketing slowly turn over those customers to start ordering on your own app by showing value to why they should switch?
Hello! Thank you for the questions!
That is definitely part of the equation. People often tend to repeat the same restaurants when using third party apps so if you’ve got a good amount of business coming in through third parties then chances are you’ve got some loyal returning customers in that mix. Getting those people over to direct online ordering can be huge opportunities for growth for a lot of restaurants.
Trattoria Vento Staten Island ny
Hey there!
I took a look at both of your direct online ordering sites and some thing I noticed for both of these is that you have add-ons as an option but people don’t have much incentive to click on them if they didn’t already want these items. I would recommend having a feature that allows people to review specific items with a simple thumbs up and show these as reviews when people click on a specific item page. This will help you show that this specific item has credibility and is sure to be tasty! People like to know that they are going to spend money on something that is delicious, and seeing reviews from other real people makes them more likely to feel enticed to add more items to their order.
I would also recommend having a “Popular Dishes” section. Along with the first point, people love credibility and there are popular favorites within every cuisine type. Putting these commonly selected items at the very top of your menu will make someone’s ordering experience more fluid and could make it easier for you to upsell each item.
I hope this helps! If you’re interested in seeing how our platform covers things like this for other restaurants like yours, feel free to sign up for a free demo on our website at Owner.com.

Hello!
It looks like you do not have a website for your restaurant. The only thing I’m seeing here are social media pages like Facebook and Instagram. I would suggest creating a website because they are one of the best ways that a restaurant can engage with people and attract new business via online channels.
When you create a website, be sure to keep a few things in mind such as making images of your popular dishes a focal point of your website, if you have online ordering, be sure to attach it to your website domain instead of having it on a separate domain, and use keywords that reflect your cuisine type.
Once you get a website up and running, feel free to drop another comment and I’d be happy to take a look at what you created!

Hello! Thank you for commenting.
I found your restaurant on Google but looks like you don’t have a website. Having a website can be a huge help with building your online presence and attracting more customers as they are one of the best tools restaurant’s have for SEO and conversion strategy.
When you create one, be sure to include high quality images of your popular menu items as photos do a great job of showing off what your restaurant has to offer and enticing online visitors with your delicious food!
Thank you for your support on our channel. Feel free to check out the other content we already have uploaded and keep an eye out for the content we have on the way!

Mommy’s Planet in Vancouver. Please review our business and share your observations 🙏🏻
Hi Rashmi!
When I visited your website, I noticed that I am greeted with a lot of text that I have to read through in order to learn about your restaurant and what you offer. I like to recommend to restaurant owners that they limit the amount of tax that they are expecting website visitors to read through and instead show them high-quality images of your menu items and make those the focal point of your website. Photos do a fantastic job of enticing people with your delicious food and encourages them to continue engaging with your brand. Prioritizing photos over text will help you increase your SEO and conversion rate from website visitor to paying customer.
An easy way to improve the way your restaurant stacks up against local competitors is to increase your average rating and the number of reviews on your Google listing. When someone is looking on Google for recommendations for the best Indian places in Vancouver, they are going to be given a list of restaurants to look through. People are likely to only click on the restaurants that give them a good first impression through their average rating and the credibility that those reviews give them. Your average rating is a 4.8. That’s awesome! However, if I look at your local competitors, the top ranking search results tend to have over 1000 reviews. Encourage your customers to leave reviews on your Google listing to help you better compete in the Indian cuisine type in Vancouver.
I appreciate your support on this channel. Feel free to check out the other content we have posted if you liked this video!

Hello!
I’d recommend including more high quality images of your food items on your website’s main landing page. Photos can improve your conversion rate from website visitor to customer because they do a much better job of capturing the attention of those engaging with your brand online than text and enticing them with the delicious food that you offer.
I’d also recommend using keywords like “best Pakistani food in Dollard-Des Ormeaux” to help you appeal to local searches and improve your search rank.

Hello!
I took a look at your website and I’m noticing that your website has a good bit of text and has some photos but not of your food on the main landing page. I would recommend taking high quality images of some of your popular items like the chow mein and make those photos a focal point. Photos make a huge difference in how enticed people feel to continue exploring what you offer when they first visit your website. The first few second that someone is on your website are crucial and photos are a great way to make the most of the time you have to convert people into customers online.
I’d also suggest adding keywords like “best Asian food in Toronto,” “best chow mein in Toronto,” and “best fried rice in Toronto.”
I hope this helps for you!

Hey Gustavo!
I noticed that your website button on Google takes me straight to an Instagram page. I would recommend creating a website because they are one of the best tools that you can use to build your restaurant brand and attract new customers. When you create a website be sure to attach it to your Google listing. I have a few videos on this channel that you may find helpful on how to build a website for SEO.
I also saw that you only have one review on Google. I would recommend increasing your number of reviews in order to give your 5.0 rating a lot more credibility when people see it. People want to be sure that the food they are going to eat at your restaurant is going to be delicious. One of the ways that someone will determine this is by looking at your reviews. Encourage your customers to leave reviews on Google and mention the dishes they tried. This will help boost your SEO as well!
