    Dynax Mode is a temporary transformation affecting Pokémon that was introduced in Generation VIII and is exclusive to Pokémon Sword and Shield. It grants Pokémon tremendous strength and size and allows them to use powerful moves called Max Moves. A variant of this phenomenon called Gigantamax further alters the appearance of Pokémon and gives them access to exclusive G-Max Moves.

    This review is why I watch this channel. I need printers for my company and I prefer to pay with money than time. So i ended up with 4 Bambu Lab printers for filament and are waiting for a Elegoo Saturn 4 Ultra. I need something that just works, the rest is just a bonus.

      personal experience with elegoo, they are crap. not even 1 month of use and the plate went only up, open the machine, bring the plate down, try again. and again only up. from support said they need to send it to R&D as they have no clue, decided to return that machine and get a phrozen 8k mighty with upgrade kit (this was all in january-february) since then the phrozen works solid

    Let them have it, Ross, but remember that they're still one of the big dogs in the industry and try not to make it personal. They really needed to bring the A-game this time with Elegoo releasing the Saturn 4 Ultra for $400 and Mars 5 Ultra for $279, both with tilting bed mechanism. These printers have no significant flaws that I can see and the S4U at least is a joy to use. I'm still waiting for the delivery of the two M5U's I ordered. I'm having to adjust my workflow from the S3U because of how quickly prints complete, and my post process now includes air drying after the rinse in denatured alcohol thanks to your advice, so timing is even more critical. But my what beauties the S4U is turning our using Sunlu ABS-like resin. I just printed out the Loot Studios welcome pack (minus the tavern) and the details are exquisite. More to add to my pile of shame.
    I own a K1 Max and an Ender 3 V2, so I have a stake in Creality I guess you'd say. But integrity matters, and I'm glad you are intent on keeping yours brother.

    • @AuntJemimaGames
      @AuntJemimaGames 16 дней назад +1

      I wouldn't say they have no significant flaws.. frankly Elegoo's plate design and solution for auto zeroing are both messy and prone to failure. That said, I think most of the rest (tilt mech included) of the features are a marked improvement from previous generations of hardware, and most people will have good results with them.

    Thanks for the reviews and all the efforts you and other YT creators put into making these videos. Im very experienced in FDM but never owned a resin printer so your experience in considering printers is both a valuable and appreciated resource for those of us looking to make a purchase (which to be honest wont be any of the creality lineup at this point in time). I live in SE Asia, and im also British, so sarcasm runs through my viens and it goes into hyper mode when we see plainly stupid mistakes (multiple times) and as you rightly pointed out, when companies dont want to listen to their customers, let alone take the proactive and professional approach to ask users how to make better products and services. It's tough to be fair when you're infuriated. I was chuckling to myself when i saw this video pop up, as i had just pressed the button on a competitors printer having come to a conclusion early today (thanks in part to your multiple reviews) to stay away from Creality resin printers. Thank you sir.

    • @FauxHammer

      I honestly thought after the travesty that was the Mage pro, they would actually do that here. I half suspect the reason this looks so similar is because they already made so many chassis for the last one and it undersold they had no choice but to use them all again here.
      I'm just so disappointed in them for doing this again, It's so misleading. surely some of this is borderline criminal to do?
      just looking at their product page, I can see so many incorrect statements
      -Infallible Quality Prints - no, mine both failed to live up to the quality the screen is capable of, and failed to print (they should look up the word infallible)
      -Smart and User-friendly Features - how, smart features include intelligent sensing features, this has none. and user friendly is the opposite of what this UI is. they don't even explain their functions anywhere.
      - Excellent Software and Accessories - I mean, the video said it all in response to this!
      And that is just the opening lines.
      Are these lies? can these be taken as lies? i suppose the statements are too subjective.

    I'm new to resin printing but you have great content and are making it way less stressful for me to get into resin printing. I like creality but they need to get back in touch with you for sure great content and great advice. Went with an anycubic photon mono m5 I could have spent more but I want to learn with mostly manual leveling and just go through the trials and tribulations just like I did with my anet a8 and my ender 3 pro. Around 8 years of fdm printing it was long overdue in the resin side of 3d printing.

      I would love Creality to step up and compete, they have the money, but they just don't seem organised enough to get this right. The company clearly needs to work on communication internally and externally. Tech's should actually listen to the marketing team...

    I'm glad I choose Elegoo over Creality, just the simplified user experience alone makes the choice for me. The strange bed leveling behavior breaking the pump on the Pro model just screams of poor design or thoughtless design and it seems to carry over to everything they do on their resin printers. I certainly cant see myself purchasing a single resin printer from Creality. Also if they aren't willing to listen to Ross and his fair criticism they certainly wont hear a single word a customer would have to say. Easy pass now and going forward. Great review as always Ross and you are the best Resin Printer reviewer on RUclips hands down.

    I'm honestly saddened to see that a company that used to be so beloved in the 3d printing industry is just doing the "slap a sticker on it and screw fixing any issues" thing, but they've been doing it for so long with tiny little updates here and there (just look at the Ender 3, with it's six bajillion revisions, and so many silent ones) that I don't even get disappointed when I see yet another box that doesn't work properly, and has fewer features and a worse UI than my Mars 2 Ultra.

    Here we go... After countless hours this is what I have collected.
    I own the Mage and 2 Mage pro models. I have started to use the pro on in the last 2 weeks even though I have owned it since it was released. The mage was just deathly slow. After trying to communicate with Creality techs (who were rude and unknowledgeable/ I have the email traffic to prove it) I gave up because it NEVER reached the speeds they advertised. The print quality was great if you were willing to wait longer than any other printer (even my OG Mars upgraded)
    The pro model has been horrible. I am extremely experienced in resin printing. I'm retired and still able bodied mostly so I have the brain power and time. First and foremost I print cones of calibration. Failed 90% of the models. Most models would fail at layer 20/21. I know this for a fact because I have an expensive micrometer. Two instances would occur. 1- layer 20/21 will delaminate and the proceding layers will adhere to the film. 2. Pulling force will be SO GREAT that the model will be pulled from the build plate and adhere solely to the film. This is my understanding of the occurance and possible reasons. I believe that slicing models in anything except Halot box will create a 50+micron gap (at layer 21) causing print failure without a build plate adhesion loss. If you are lucky (and I really do mean that) do to over exposure (15%+) your larger models will continue to print but will slip because layer 20-21 or 21/22 will only adhere near the center of the build plate. Very small models (aprox 4mm+ diameter) have a 50-60% chance of being fully intact no issues. If you over expose the print by 15%+ then you will lose significant detail but have better chances of non-failure. I say it like this because I still have yet to have 100% success on a single build plate.
    Dynax mode... Here goes...
    It is the software reading the next layer of pixels in comparison to the previous layer and then slamming the gas pedal on speed with complete disregard to decency. Sorry I had to throw that in. And guess when this really kicks in? That's right!!! Layer 21... At least that is what I believe. I watched my pro slap chop it's way into my heart 30+ times over and over… failure after failure... And when my exposure was 0.9s it would be on the build plate. When it was 1.0-1.1s it would rip clean off the build plate and be stuck to the included "high speed film."
    Dynax plus is essentially Doc Brown taking Marty back to meet his parents and screw up the time line cuz LORD that thing will 1000% always rip it off the build plate. Let me be clear. These are mostly testing the cones of calibration I'm referring to. So it is consistent and singular variable changes at a time. Needless to say there are serious issues with the firmware (oldest and most current). I tested both. I have read and agree with what most of applies to the Halot Mage series from "sn4k3". (UVtools) And to make matters worse for Creality, sn4k3's eeprom dump has been blocked from working on the Halot Mage series FW so there is no way to see what the gcode is doing or even what it is capable of. If anyone has gotten this the eeprom to dump please msg me.
    I refuse to give up. I am not happy with creality but there are so many of us that have sunk hard earned money into these machines. It is capable of great prints but I am 100% positive the key starts at the default gcode line by line.
    Also... The " light off delay" function... Doesn't work right. sn4k3 talks about it with detailed math. If you turn it up to 3s it will help but not a guarantee to achieve success on a print. At this point I'm praying. I'm testing more as I type this but God may just be laughing at me at this point.

    I kinda get that Creality will always have a place of sorts because your first printer was one of theirs. The same applies for me.
    However: after several extremely shitty contacts with their support, I've written them off. They need to fix some serious issues and come out on top for me to give them a new chance.
    Their app is rubbish, the support is unworthy of the name, documentation is non-existent.
    The only things Creality had going for them (back in the days) was the ender and CR series that were a value deal... Which grew a huge community due to the easy modding.
    The community plugged the holes in support and documentation for them.
    I understand you can't just ignore Creality due to their market share, but please don't bend yourself backwards to try to find something positive to say. That's not how any of this should work.

      I'm not saying you;re wrong, but your statement contradicts everything I've seen. I am more than happy to be proven wrong, do you have examples of reduced support sizeon ACF directly compared on teh same printer with the same resin to PFA. with both printers showing results in various support sizes to determin the failure point per material and comparing the final print results of each?
      or are you just quoting the same marketing words that other brands have used?

      @stiffler69er 14 дней назад

      @@FauxHammer I'm not technically reviewing the acf so I'm not running tests but I can tell you I can use light supports with acf film on large 1:8/1:6 scale prints where in normally with normal fep I need to use medium supports, it's obvious really that if something releases easier and faster it means it takes less force and speed to do the same job. So a light support can do the same job as a medium support.

    • @FauxHammer
      @FauxHammer  14 дней назад

      @@stiffler69er ok, i hear you, but that is called specious reasoning, just because something does something doesn't mean there aren't other variables.
      ACF diffuses light. If you want proof, get a sheet of PFA and put your phone screen up against it, how much does that sheet make the light from your phone screen blurry? now do the same with ACF. see the difference? that is also what it is doing to the UV light from the LCD
      Consider this. you use medium supports on PFA and they work. and on that print the XY dimentions are more accurate, so you actually get your 0.28mm give or take 20 microns.
      Then you use ACF, wand you use light supports, which have 0.20mm contact points, but due to the diffusion this could be give or take 60 microns.
      So in reality, medium supports on pfa could be anywhere up to 0.48 microns, whereas on ACF they could be up to 80 microns.
      So whilst the setting in Lychee or whatever allows you to use a different thing, the material is actually making your light supports much larger than using medium supports, this is more likely why it works.
      I'm not saying ACF is useless. I'm saying it introduces more inaccuracy in your 3D prints. If you take the same model printed in PFA and ACF, the PFA print will be sharper. this has been proven time and time again, andACF introduces horizontal lines on the surface too. But depending what you print, this may not even matter to you. If so, crack on, use it and enjoy it. But please understand why it is different and what it does so that you can help others make the best informed choices too.
      So if you want speed, rather than quality, stick with it. I am happy if you are happy. But it is not, The bomb IMO. It is "an option" with several drawbacks that peopel should be aware of.

I *think* Dynax Mode at least used to (pro vs non-pro) required a different motor..perhaps screw assembly..which at the time appeared to have a seperate output on the board for.
    Short form:

If there's someone doing a thorough test & putting your product through the ringer & giving out HONEST opinions & experience, never take that for granted, you're ignoring a customer. Especially a customer with 65k subscribers on RUclips, keep in mind that customers often provide reviews on websites, their personal social media sites, etc & OTHER CUSTOMERS READ THEIR EXPERIENCE. Having seen what Creality achieved in the FDM side over my last 10 years in the hobby I feel that we are going to be continually disappointed with the progress they make.
    Creality just seems to not do much more innovation these days and just ride the brand recognition they have from the earlier FDM days.
    My personal tinfoil hat theory is that because they didn't win the "race to the bottom" (Make it as cheap as possible) as they did in the FDM space they have almost given up the idea of a large market share in the Resin space, Thus the lack of investment in making advancements besides the generic screen "Upgrades" we get each release cycle, Not like they do much innovation in the FDM space anymore.. , But hey that's just an opinion from someone who's had a far too many Creality FDM machines during the hobby XD
