Thanks Sam. It seems like im designing my subby bass wrong all along. Im using sine wave subby bass which always sounds great in headphones but couldnt hear it through phone or laptop speakers. Tried distorting my sine wave but it still wasnt coming through the way heard on other pro tracks using a subby bass. Looking forward to trying out the square and saw combination you mentioned at the end as it seems like this may be the solution. Any other tips are welcome.
