I have not found a way to keep the screen on while recording. The "never" option has been removed from the menu for time before the screen turns off during recording. It appears this functionality has been removed from the Action 5. Am I wrong about this?

You're not wrong. My display turned off after recording for 10 minutes, so I tried to set it to 'Never' but that option doesn't exist. It used to on previous models. I found a DJI forum post about this problem with several people complaining. DJI have agreed to reinstate the 'Never' option in a firmware update but didn't specify when the update would arrive. Hopefully, soon!
@calumfitzwater8431 It appeared in the 18 October firmware update (01.01.05.20). This fix was the first thing I looked for after installing the update. There is now a 'Never' option!
How do I turn the front screen off? Can I turn both screens off and keep recording using my smartphone as a controller? I have a brand new Osmo Action 5 Pro.
Do not buy one these unless you have an iPhone! It will not work if you have a Pixel phone because of their stupid app they make you register the camera with.
Please comment on DJI's pathetic max bitrate of 100 Mbps. That is the highest bitrate of all video modes, i.e., 4k 120 4:3. This bitrate is worse than the 4.
