6:55 I wonder how often the other drafters sacrifice their picks to benefit their teams. Like we’ve recently seen Time Walk and Gleemox passed for Academy and White Plume.
I don't know Sandy's decklist, but if he didn't have a way to recur Brain Freeze he might not be have been able to kill you through Parallax Wave + Phelia in the last game (even with infinite turns). Would be a huge pain to play online though so I understand conceding for sake of time.
i'll have to watch the rest of the video obviously, but pack 1 pick 7 i would have been mighty tempted to hate the tarpit, given that you're doing initative & monarch things
Tar pit seems a little too mana intensive to effectively help battle for initiative and monarch. Otherwise, I’d agree. To win initiative battles, you have to be deploying multiple threats in a turn, not deploying 0-1 while animating a land. Manlands are much more effective at battling walkers and wipes, since they dodge sorcery speed removal tools.
Absolutely, it is, but if my opponent is trying to take initiative with a tarpit while I hold up cheap removal for it (since I see it coming) and I’ve played another thing that battles well, I’m extremely happy, and that’s not an unlikely scenario on turns 5-6. I understand how good it is, and dodging sweepers is its best aspect, but given the downside of sinking extra mana into it each turn you use it, and that its not looking like he’ll be in the blue-to-black range to possibly want it himself, its a little early to be hating it instead of picking up things you might use. I’m checking what he took over it now, a time stamp would’ve been helpful in your comment. 3:58 Oh yeah, he picked up mine collapse instead of hating anything, and I know from slightly in the future that he’d be more likely to run green, making chariot the better hate card (ironically for similar reasons, plus making extra battlers), but he wouldn’t know that yet, and I like his reasoning for taking the free removal spell over it. Sac a mountain to kill tar pit that’s been animated to battle for initiative? Yes please. Edit: Ok, this is my first time actually looking at mine collapse, so it can’t actually do that. Still, 4 mana instant 5 damage to creature or walker is a decent tool, but it does undermine part of my argument. Still, sac a mountain to save a good battler from an animated tar pit is great, and that’s still a very unlikely thing to worry about for all but one potential matchup. It’s (almost) always better to take a useful card for you than to hate a card, since you would only have seen the card you hated in one matchup or less.
Oh, and btw, I hate arguing against tar pit, much less for a red card of any kind, so me arguing that it was a solid pick goes Against my biases. Also, I can’t wait for Shambling Vent to make it onto arena, which is likely to be soon, so you also have an idea just how much I love my “not a dudes.”
skydiver didn't seem like a must have at the time, and if you're already on the train of hatedrafting I'd have probably just snagged the memory jar that was in the same path as the sheoldred when it wheeled. Skydiver rarely ends up making your main deck and it just kind of cuts off the sheoldred player a bit if they're trying to build a wheel deck. Also, nadu is kind of unimpressive when it doesn't have a couple enablers for it. I think hullbreacher is a great disruptive card that I feel like tends to get undervalued if you aren't in the wheel deck. I'd have probably just snapped off the hullbreacher over the nadu.
38:05 You could play inti and hold up get lost. Tap stomping grounds and breeding pool, or taiga and breeding pool, leaving up plains plus another land…
I assume he wanted to have the option to play either get lost or kavu if there was nothing to target, but couldn't play Inti and still have both options
You either haven’t watched much of LSV, or aren’t a particularly reasonable person. Most of us watch him for great drafting, insights and general entertaining nature. If you can’t watch for the same reasons without insulting based on a personal feature you have no context for, maybe keep it that way.
I have to agree... the sounds can feel a bit overwhelming sometimes. Maybe some of these sounds are amplified by the mic? Maybe settings can tweaked or something? Would be quality of life improvement for many I'm sure.
Luis in his head: “damn, I’m recording. Can’t take the Lurrus...”
Also Luis, to us: “I back up that sacred foundry pick.”
I really like Phelia, up there with place jailer and mother of runes IMO.
Really funny cutting P Wave vs Sandy lol. Sandy has a huge range. Its just not even throughout.

to be fair i think the gleemox thing was just an error, they said they didnt recognize the card art at first and snapped academy
@@lukefeeney2852That would make more sense.
Hey if some of the games in Arena u play against bots, doesn't that mean that in some of the challenges ur playing vs AI?
29:55 miss letal or im missing something?
Had the same thought lol, it wasn't lethal since Tamiyos +2 ability that was used reduces all his attackers by -1/-0.
@ ooohhh you’re right! Tamiyo!!!

lsv says in the video that he had yawg will in his deck

Sure, but it's an evasive threat that dodges sweepers, and can be used effectively by a control deck

@@Bobal27isn’t shambling vent on arena now? It was apart of pioneer masters
I wish there was more regular cube content and less of the team cube stuff. The 4 on 4 cubes are hard to care about when actual Vintage Cube is out.
Disagree, I’d rather watch power max cube so I’ll take it.

timevault might be alittle too broken
This is looking like a bad deck
made no sence introducing the monarch there
Please resolve the bodily noises. Gulping, breathing, scratching. It's not a problem with any other youtuber and super distracting.

RUclips commenter asking the youtuber not to breathe lmao
He may need a noise gate but then there will be silence at times so maybe pad it with some soft music? IDK
