I played high school JV Football in the 70's as an offensive Halfback in the Power "I" or the "2" Back. I'm pretty sure holes left of center were even #'s 2,4,6. Right was odd 1,3,5. So if they ever called a Power I right 23 Dive. That was me, all 5'2" 110 lbs. I was tiny! I played more at DB though just because I was a Junior. Looking back, I wish my coaches would've called me in the office and said Jake, you're just to damn small out there. You could get really hurt. Why not work with the managers this season. Work your ass off in the off season and lets see where you are next year. I would've listened. I got hurt with 3 games left in the season. My senior year I was 5'5" 120 lbs so of course I stayed a manager. Seniors did not play on the JV squad and I knew I'd never play on Varsity. Today, I wear Doug's original Patriots Red Jersey #2 in his honor!

Doug Flutie took an absolute BEATING as the QB of the Generals.
Walt Michaels would take out Herschel Walker on 2/3rds to 3/4s of passing downs which tipped off the defense that they were going to pass. Plus, while the Generals had a decent run blocking offensive line they were absolutely terrible on passing downs. In a single season jn NJ Brian Sipe got sacked more times then he did in his last 3 years as an NFL starter.
Flutie was running for his life on most passing plays. He just did bot have time to make a read and throw the ball.
