JL Audio is the best overall for high quality sound, nothing close
It is not the best and there are several high end amps in the same tier of performance,tuning, clarity. The RD is closer to a mid to mid high tier amp. It is a good amp, but yea I don’t know where you got this information. The higher end HD line is very good and can compete with the the best out there. It is is all 3X the price of the RD.
JL Audio are pricey... But you never have to change them once installed... I have a JL system over 10yrs ( never selling my 300m)
Seems like you have probably gotten your money's worth. JL is top-notch.
I dont think price is too high, I found an RD 500 at local pawn for $87 after tax. It had been sitting since December being over looked on a rack full of amps...

Wich is the diference between JD and RD?
The JL Audio JD and RD series amps are very similar in overall performance and specs, and the difference really comes down to the overall design. The RD series has all of the wiring connections on the same side, as well as top mounted controls for the various settings, which helps make for easier installation and setup.
So i dont need a LOC if hooking this up to factory head unit?
The RD amps do accept speaker level inputs and can work with a factory head unit's speaker level outputs to get the audio!
JL audio is pricey
If it had built in load resistors for the speaker level inputs, this would be perfect. Subaru reeeeeally wants you to have a shitty radio. Roadblock after roadblock.
