@@DarkAiR3 это хорошо, что он заставил тебя подумать и погуглить. Иногда, стоит посидеть над простым тесктом по полчаса один раз, чтобы хорошо его перевести и запомнить, чем потом всегда переводить такой же текст лёгкий за двадцать минут, но через жопу.
Это было так сложно! Мой перевод очень сильно отличается от оригинального текста. Были фразы, которые мне удалось довольно точно перевести в первом и втором текстах, это радовало и мотивировало, но ещё сильнее меня замотивировал третий текст - он дико сложный, трудный и у меня почти ничего не получилось более-менее близко перевести. Но это реально шикарное упражнение, оно так наглядно показывает разницу языков. Я помню, ты однажды рассказывал, что ваша преподавательница в ВУЗе дала вам точно такое задание и это было так трудно и поразительно. Спасибо за отличный во всех смыслах урок. Мне кажется у меня выполнение заданий заняло больше часа. Сначала писала свой вариант, потом сверху другой ручкой надписывала то, как было в оригинале. Было сложно и очень интересно. И поражающе - даааааа. Вот это разница.
Про кофеварку угарнула хддддд В СМЫСЛЕ сковородка это skillet?? И да, текст на английском звучит намного приятнее, чем получился у меня. (Лексика, боже мой, Юля, что с твоей лексикой!) Досмотрела. Если в первом у меня получилась дичь, во втором я более менее попала в какие-то фразы, то третье действительно вынесло мозг и я на половине такая: "Да ну нах*р" Теперь у меня вместо желания учить английский, появилось острое желание пойти дальше проходить The walking dead в оригинале. Ну как же! Новая лексика, фразочки разные, развлекаловка и умирающие персонажи прилагаются. А, ну еще я поняла, что учась на первом курсе ин яза совершенно не знаю английского. Потрясающее в своей глубине открытие! XD
Как ни странно, хуже всего перевела первый текст, из-за времён, я была уверена, что там почти везде past perfect. Третий получился не так плохо, как я ожидала)) Спасибо за отличное упражнение, буду переодически сама делать: брать отрывок из книги на русском, а потом проверять по оригинальной книге)

Чел, это реально крутой видос по практике. Пытался перевести, затем разбирал каждое предложение. Ощущается полезность такой практики. А когда ты зачитываешь на английском то, что уже примерно знаешь на русском, становится проще воспринимать английскую речь и привыкать к этому. (Когда кто-то начинает болтать на английском, я почему-то невольно начинаю игнорировать это. При этом немецкий наоборот заходит в ухо, как по маслу, но с ним у меня все еще хуже).

Я немного причесал текст, исправив ошибки типа "it -> they, забыл о мн.ч. яиц". Я вижу, что иногда неправильно использую предлоги (on chair -> in chair). Чувствовал, что я хочу улучшить текст микроволновки, но забыл все улучшения (after that -> then, next). Вопросы: 1) walked -> came, skillet -> pan, was frying for time -> cooked for time, He love looking -> He like to look, It was beautiful -> It looked pretty, coming day - > a day ahead, They was tasty -> They were good. Насколько критичны выбранные мной выражения? 2) Где можно найти материалы по использованию эмфазы. И как часто их вообще использут? Спасибо.

I would be able to listen to music wearing earphones and read a book at the same time. ---- I'm utterly convinced that it's wrong way of doing such translates like these. Doing translate from Russian to English, you will never get the same text. The main point is translating is a sort of art. Everything you need is to transmit the main thought given speech, text. etc.
Спасибо за практическое задание, оказалось для меня крайне полезным. Наибольший затык произошёл с первым текстом, так что ко второму перешла в несколько удрученном состоянии, но внезапно сравнение перевода второго текста с оригиналом меня очень порадовало, третий текст - без комментариев) вот уж где глаза полезли на лоб, хотя получилось не так плохо. И спасибо за раскрытие этой темы, странно, что этому не учили ни в школе, ни в универе, вообще видео "что если ваш английский на самом деле русский" одно из моих любимых, именно его скидываю друзьям для затравки, когда рекомендую канал
Шикарный видосик! Было бы здорово, если бы был формат для переводчиков, как такой. Начинаю работать в этой сфере и это моя специальность, а по сути после универа и тучи стажировок верчусь-кручусь как могу, а редакторы и бюро все равно только и дают, что от ворот поворот и вечно чего-то не хватает( Сейчас много чего осветил, чему, к сожалению, препам и универам, у которых я училась, было непосильно. Расслабьтесь и просто читайте, слушайте, пишите общайтесь на разных языках. Когда будет сильно нужно, будете напрягаться и даже вылезете из шкуры. Всем авторам обучающих роликов большой респект и благодарность. Все, кто действительно хочет, извлекут из них пользу. Но каждый обучается по своему. Если у кого-то получается не так, как у тебя, это не значит, что у тебя хуже.

Последний текст - действительно вынос мозга, особенно в моменты, когда пытаешь самостоятельно придумать правдоподобное слэнговое слово)) Второй текст показался намного проще первого (и получился ближе к оригиналу). В первом постоянно хотелось объединять эти странные короткие предложения)) Последний раз переводила тексты напрямую с русского на английский лет 7 назад, в универе, поэтому было очень непривычно) Обычно просто часть фраз приходит в голову, и ты думаешь, как их соединить или пытаешься подобрать/вспомнить какое-то слово, ну или "как сказать на английском, что...". А здесь действительно такое ощущение, что ты зажат в рамках русского предложения! Несколько раз ловила себя на том, что читаю кусок текста и просто думаю, как это лучше пересказать)
Полезно ли для прокачки "наслышанности" слушать англоязычные песни, вникая в текст? Или там совершенно не разговорная лексика, а потому это будет бесполезно?

Эмоций - масса. По своим переводам очень четко увидела свои сильные и слабые стороны. Arguments on social medias and digital marketing seem to be pain in the butt of society each by itself. Together they're showing us that the Hell can be faced not only after death.
Отличное упражнение! Это прям больное место большинства изучающих английский. «А как это перевести на русский?» Неплохо помогает читать определения слов в словарях, ты и понял смысл слова-фразового глагола-идиомы и увидел как использовать в естественной среде и ещё новых слов из определения узнал.

Мама в детстве задалбывала меня вопросом не перескажи, а "о чём?" прочитал книгу? о чём? посмотрел мультик? о чём? и т.д. и пересказ её никогда не устраивал. Всегда надо было подумать и сформулировать коротко, о чём же всётаки речь)

Кто мне объяснит почему в первом тексте в конце первого абзаца используется Past Simple, а не тот же Past Continuous, указано же продолжительное время - 2 минуты. И почему не используется Passive? Неужели тут не будет пассива? Буду благодарен за ответ

мне такая мысль пришла в голову еще далеких лет 6 назад на первом курсе когда мы только и делали, что переводили по тыще текстов за пару, а потом учили их: "чет по английски это звучит коряво, а на русском норм. они ж там так не говорят" потом стала узнавать русскоговорящих, пишущих на английском комменты в интернетах, типа палевно когда русскую фразу дословно переносят на английский. действительно надо сразу строить фразу на английском, тогда больше вероятности что это не будет нелепо звучать. но до сих пор не могу даже простого разговора на английском поддержать. да, я ленивое чмо и за 6 лет не сдвинулась в уровне языка ни на миллиметр
Я сломалась на третьем уровне... Хотя судя по моему варианту перевода и твоему оригиналу в первых двух текстах, не все так печально) Для общения с коллегами в Индии, Индонезии и на Филиппинах обычно хватает)

А фраза "в последнее время я думаю попробовать ездить на работу поездом, а не на машине" вышла как-то "Lately I think of getting to the job by train, not by car". Вместо хорового разучивания How do you do гораздо полезнее подсмотреть, что же на самом деле используют нейтивы для приветствия. После чего можно приветствовать всех правильным how are you doing/going и даже не знать, как оно там переводится или что означает на самом деле. Работает везде - просто смотришь что говорят нейтивы в определенных ситуациях и повторяешь. Если ты не переводчик, то тебе необязательно знать, что too bad это «очень жаль», а не «слишком плохо» - ты просто фигачишь эту фразу в подходящих местах и сходишь за местного. Жаль, что многие идут по длинному пути, пытаясь именно что «выучить» английский.
Я тут один момент упускаю, зачем стремиться переводить в точности. То есть, существуют миллион синонимов, которые являются такими же правильными, как и в оригинал переводе. Мол, если вы перевели, но увидели на месте вашего перевода другое слово, но по смыслу буквально подходящее, не нужно расстраиваться. В любом случае, вы сделали все правильно (имхо)
Второй текст. Написала так, как говорила бы иностранцу, не ржать)) My job is a long way from home, almost in 50 miles. I have to get up early every morning. @@DarkAiR3 это хорошо, что он заставил тебя подумать и погуглить. Иногда, стоит посидеть над простым тесктом по полчаса один раз, чтобы хорошо его перевести и запомнить, чем потом всегда переводить такой же текст лёгкий за двадцать минут, но через жопу.

Мой перевод очень сильно отличается от оригинального текста. Были фразы, которые мне удалось довольно точно перевести в первом и втором текстах, это радовало и мотивировало, но ещё сильнее меня замотивировал третий текст - он дико сложный, трудный и у меня почти ничего не получилось более-менее близко перевести.
Но это реально шикарное упражнение, оно так наглядно показывает разницу языков.
Я помню, ты однажды рассказывал, что ваша преподавательница в ВУЗе дала вам точно такое задание и это было так трудно и поразительно.
Спасибо за отличный во всех смыслах урок. Мне кажется у меня выполнение заданий заняло больше часа. Сначала писала свой вариант, потом сверху другой ручкой надписывала то, как было в оригинале.
Было сложно и очень интересно. И поражающе - даааааа. Вот это разница.

Досмотрела. Если в первом у меня получилась дичь, во втором я более менее попала в какие-то фразы, то третье действительно вынесло мозг и я на половине такая: "Да ну нах*р"
Теперь у меня вместо желания учить английский, появилось острое желание пойти дальше проходить The walking dead в оригинале. Ну как же! Новая лексика, фразочки разные, развлекаловка и умирающие персонажи прилагаются.
А, ну еще я поняла, что учась на первом курсе ин яза совершенно не знаю английского. Потрясающее в своей глубине открытие! XD

Чел, это реально крутой видос по практике.
Пытался перевести, затем разбирал каждое предложение.
Ощущается полезность такой практики.
А когда ты зачитываешь на английском то, что уже примерно знаешь на русском, становится проще воспринимать английскую речь и привыкать к этому.
(Когда кто-то начинает болтать на английском, я почему-то невольно начинаю игнорировать это. При этом немецкий наоборот заходит в ухо, как по маслу, но с ним у меня все еще хуже).

Я немного причесал текст, исправив ошибки типа "it -> they, забыл о мн.ч. яиц". Я вижу, что иногда неправильно использую предлоги (on chair -> in chair). Чувствовал, что я хочу улучшить текст микроволновки, но забыл все улучшения (after that -> then, next).
Вопросы:
1) walked -> came, skillet -> pan, was frying for time -> cooked for time, He love looking -> He like to look, It was beautiful -> It looked pretty, coming day - > a day ahead, They was tasty -> They were good. Насколько критичны выбранные мной выражения?
2) Где можно найти материалы по использованию эмфазы. И как часто их вообще использут?

I'm utterly convinced that it's wrong way of doing such translates like these. Doing translate from Russian to English, you will never get the same text.
The main point is translating is a sort of art. Everything you need is to transmit the main thought given speech, text. etc.

Наибольший затык произошёл с первым текстом, так что ко второму перешла в несколько удрученном состоянии, но внезапно сравнение перевода второго текста с оригиналом меня очень порадовало, третий текст - без комментариев) вот уж где глаза полезли на лоб, хотя получилось не так плохо. упд: озадачило в твоем тексте "in the chair", потому что мы вот буквально на прошлой неделе проходили артикли и там было что "on a chair", но "in an armchair"🤔
Расслабьтесь и просто читайте, слушайте, пишите общайтесь на разных языках. Когда будет сильно нужно, будете напрягаться и даже вылезете из шкуры. Всем авторам обучающих роликов большой респект и благодарность. Все, кто действительно хочет, извлекут из них пользу. Но каждый обучается по своему. Если у кого-то получается не так, как у тебя, это не значит, что у тебя хуже.

Последний раз переводила тексты напрямую с русского на английский лет 7 назад, в универе, поэтому было очень непривычно)
Обычно просто часть фраз приходит в голову, и ты думаешь, как их соединить или пытаешься подобрать/вспомнить какое-то слово, ну или "как сказать на английском, что...". А здесь действительно такое ощущение, что ты зажат в рамках русского предложения! Несколько раз ловила себя на том, что читаю кусок текста и просто думаю, как это лучше пересказать)

This way I could use headphones along with reading a book.

Эмоций - масса. По своим переводам очень четко увидела свои сильные и слабые стороны. Как и подозревала, очень не хватает начитанности (никак не могу начать читать журналы из-за обилия лексики гораздо выше моего уровня), поэтому пытаюсь пристроить багаж своих знаний в перевод как получится. Где-то вышло имхо неплохо и даже близко к оригиналу, где-то - очень кривож... как дебаты. И это нормально. До этого момента я потребляла английский контент только в виде аудирования (видосики на ютюбе), а сейчас поняла, что в письменном виде инглиш более complex и богатый на интересную лексику. Меня это видео очень замотивировало погрузиться в язык, чтобы научиться выражать мысли на английском красиво. Потому что ну очень классно звучит оригинал статьи Wired.
И, Дима, отвешиваю тебе отдельный низкий поклон за отличную работу с переводом на русский! Действительно, хрен угадаешь, что там в оригинале было.

The thing is that nobody has prepared for them but everybody's taken some heavy military drugs. Dammit. One of the few parts of the modern life, even more merciless to any adequate human being than dumb online wars, is brand Twitter. This is a new marketing trend. Corporations try to make ironically-provoking, but looking seriously, things. They wanna show everyone that they got the spirit. For example: Netflix's twit "Hey, I'm drunk af". Arguments on social medias and digital marketing seem to be pain in the butt of society each by itself. Together they're showing us that the Hell can be faced not only after death.

Иногда сохраняю скриншоты, чтобы разобрать непонятное "потом". Из достижений - прочитал сборник рассказов о Шерлоке Холмсе в оригинале (+- 500 страниц).
Второй текст показался даже легче первого, потому что постоянно читая большие описания, я понял, что я никогда не сталкивался с группой односложных фраз, следующих друг за другом и даже терялся, где поставить или не поставить "the".
На всё про всё ушло больше часа, не засекал. Над некоторыми предложениями по несколько минут сидел, пытаясь вспомнить хоть что-то.

мне такая мысль пришла в голову еще далеких лет 6 назад на первом курсе когда мы только и делали, что переводили по тыще текстов за пару, а потом учили их: "чет по английски это звучит коряво, а на русском норм. они ж там так не говорят" потом стала узнавать русскоговорящих, пишущих на английском комменты в интернетах, типа палевно когда русскую фразу дословно переносят на английский. действительно надо сразу строить фразу на английском, тогда больше вероятности что это не будет нелепо звучать.
но до сих пор не могу даже простого разговора на английском поддержать. да, я ленивое чмо и за 6 лет не сдвинулась в уровне языка ни на миллиметр

Первые две части дались без какого-то особого труда: подобные предложения часто встречались в книгах и нередко подобное переводили. Но, укрывать не буду, "I never have enough time for breakfast" написала именно так, как выше. А фраза "в последнее время я думаю попробовать ездить на работу поездом, а не на машине" вышла как-то "Lately I think of getting to the job by train, not by car".
Третья же часть совсем пытка, у меня друг умер от такого

Вместо хорового разучивания How do you do гораздо полезнее подсмотреть, что же на самом деле используют нейтивы для приветствия. После чего можно приветствовать всех правильным how are you doing/going и даже не знать, как оно там переводится или что означает на самом деле. Работает везде - просто смотришь что говорят нейтивы в определенных ситуациях и повторяешь. Если ты не переводчик, то тебе необязательно знать, что too bad это «очень жаль», а не «слишком плохо» - ты просто фигачишь эту фразу в подходящих местах и сходишь за местного. Жаль, что многие идут по длинному пути, пытаясь именно что «выучить» английский.

Я тут один момент упускаю, зачем стремиться переводить в точности. То есть, существуют миллион синонимов, которые являются такими же правильными, как и в оригинал переводе. My job is a long way from home, almost in 50 miles. I have to get up early every morning. There is no time to take a breakfast in calm usually. At 6 o'clock I get to the car and go to the long way (facepalm).
Usually I prefer to use a track then a city, even tho it's not so sweet in the morning. Heavy traffic gets me a little. That's why I listen to the favorite disc of classic music in my car. I'm thinking of using a train instead of the car. That would give me an opportunity to listen to music with headphones, even to read a book while doing it.

Jack was hungry. He went to the kitchen. He take off eggs. He take oil. He put skillet on a pan. Then he turn on fire. He put oil on the skillet. He breaked eggs to the plate. Mixed them up. Then he put it on the hot skillet. It cooked for two minutes.
Then Jack put eggs on a plate. He put plate on the table in dinnery. Jack was fond of looking at eggs. They looked nice on the white plate. He sat at the big wood chair. He thinked about coming day. Then he ate eggs by spoone. They was tasty.
