its okay Billy... I am an introvert too and hate when attention is on me. I am a retired teacher, of all things, but little people are great. Its the adults... and I am afraid you do have a bit of a fan club and I think that's sweet...

Loved this episode! You all make me laugh out loud. The banter back and forth is so cute! I ordered the 2 table runners as soon as you spoke about them. Thanks Billie for getting all the info up for us to look up. Great family effort put forth and has brought joy to us all through the pandemic. Thank you all!

When it was mentioned that your podcasts feel like family, that really resonated with me. During your discussion about what you do when you feel blocked and it was Sherri's turn, I told my dog that you would say you cleaned, made lists and organized stuff. And then you said it! I squealed with delight and high-fived my doggo. (Yes, this is my life in quarantine.) For myself, when I feel blocked, I step away and do something else, and often that something else is organizing my workspace. I also have a love of lists, and will add things I've done that weren't on the list just for the joy of checking them off. Thank you for inviting us into your home and showing us glimpses of your life. I've learned so much from your tutorials and you've both helped keep me sane over this past year. P.S. I did my first flying geese yesterday following your April BOM video, and the block turned out great!

Love your podcasts. Love that you are a family business and enjoying it. Before retiring, my husband and I worked with our two children in our family business. It was such a wonderful thing to see them every day. Truly one of life's bonuses. Keep up the good work.

Enjoyed this Podcast! Thank you Sherri for the tip on cleaning your bobbin case after every five bobbins. Have been using for about 9 months. I have a salon toe polish separator that holds my bobbins so I remember to change after every 4. It really keeps my machine working well. A bright, positive spot during pandemic.

I’ve had to redo binding twice! One was a small wall hanging of a paper pieced project which luckily had a border around it, so I squared up the quilt to a smaller size cutting off the binding with a rotary cutter and putting on a new binding. The second one was on a large quilt which I sewed the binding on by machine instead of my usual hand sewing on the back. I was not happy with the result so I had to unpick the stitches and finish it by hand. Never again will I machine sew the binding. I love your podcasts. Thank you!

I had to laugh Sheri when you were talking about your mixing your favorite drinks from Costco!! My favorite is the POM juice from Costco!! I call it my Mormon wine!! 😂😂 I just couldn't help but laugh when Chelsi was laughing!! Oh how funny right!! 😂😂 I just love you two!! ❤️❤️

Love your Podcasts!!! 👏❤👏 Something that has been mentioned at least twice by Chelsi about always cutting the entire pattern out first before she starts has finally struck a note with me. It's not something I like to do so I don't, but I find it takes more time. I am going to start cutting EVERYTHING out in the beginning and see how that goes. Thank you and Stay safe. ✂️❤👏😷

Love your podcast as always. I find that when I'm blocked it's usually because of some reason and if I find the reason I can work to overcome it. For instance maybe it involves a technique I'm scared to do. Sometimes it's too much stuff in my sewing area and I need to clean up. Sometimes I don't love the colors after I've gotten into it. Taking a break really helps me figure these things out and come up with a way to overcome the issue.

My go-to quilt pattern for gifting is Around the World. I have made so many I can get one done in less than a week. For binding I often take a picture of my choices. I have made some unfortunate choices but never so bad I felt it needed to be ripped off and replaced.

I certainly don’t “need” more quilts but I love the process of creating quilts; from dreaming and choosing my next quilt, selecting the fabrics, cutting the pieces, sewing the top together, layering and basting, quilting it which is mostly the big stitch these days and finally the binding. Seasonal quilts are a favorite.

Great video and questions. When I’m in doubt about a binding, or do not have enough of what I would prefer to use, I use solid black. It frames the quilt well.

Re Getting over a block. I have a degree in systems science. When I got stuck with a program, I’d leave the computer center and walk to the library. After I got to the library, I could figure out the problem-a change of scenery. It got to the point that the solution to the problem would come to me when I was barely out the door of the computer center! The bad news was I had to wait until a computer became available-this was 1980.

LOL!! Girls, I know it's a bit radical, but a bad binding choice could be remedied by reducing the outter border by 1/4", if you know what I mean. I've done it. :D

Instead of picking out a “bad binding,” why not just add a good binding over the bad one? Make the second binding a little larger and accept/embrace a little poofiness/texture.
