Billy your voice and especially your little chuckle reminds me so much of my younger brother. Can't help but love you. I'm 71 years old. It's a sister's/ mother's love 💘 I'm sending.
This podcast is just so delightful, relaxing, informative and warm! The interaction between all of you just exudes genuine family love. I look forward to every time! Watch on RUclips.
I live in Buffalo, NY and I totally agree with Billy’s comments about eating Buffalo chicken wings with blue cheese. Many years ago I worked around the corner from the restaurant where chicken wings were originated, Frank and Theresa’s Anchor Bar, and we would sometimes go there for lunch on payday. Blue cheese dip comes with every order of wings. My son lives out of town and when he comes to visit, we ALWAYS get wings, sometimes going directly from the airport to a restaurant where he can get them. Love your podcast!
Loved your live stream trunk show! Everything was just perfect. Shout out to Billy for making the volume at the right level. So many times, I struggle (along with everyone else) to hear other you tube videos , but yours are perfect. I look forward to the next live, but watch every You Tube video you make. I’m a brand new quilter (at 71 years old) & I’m so excited over this platform! Thank you to the 3 of you for your amazing designs, your help, the perfect volume & view & for giving me the confidence to try this new craft. Xo
Another fantastic podcast and loved the question on the family business. Love you guys and thank you for sharing your inspiration and love for quilting with us 💜💜💜💜
Happy Belated 30th Chelsi!!! My first granddaughter's birthday is May 6th :) She will be 12-started sewing when she was 7 & finished a throw size quilt by the time she was 9! (the blame for taking that long fell on my shoulders for not getting her more often) I'm so very proud of her for wanting to learn :)
Chelsie please share meatball stroganoff. You have me so curious and now I want to try it! Lol - this actually was my question and I have an eight year old son. FYI- we are late 50’s with our other three children mid 20’s to 30. We adopted our young son. He came to live with us at 4 months of age. So I have had to start over with cooking with kids and now there’s grandkids too. 🥰😘
I love you guys! I watch you on you tube and then also listen to your podcast when driving on my way home from work. I also love your new collection and will be ordering that soon. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and in such a fun and relaxing way. From Maleny, Queensland Australia.
I really love your podcasts and look forward to every episode. The little bit of your personal life makes me feel like you’re my next door neighbors. Haha. Thanks for being so transparent about every thing.
I have been watching and listening for a year now and it is fun seeing the growth. You are all so relaxed it feels like family. And thank you for Introducing me to the Simple Folded Corner Ruler.
Love all the things you share! I’m wondering if you’d have time in an upcoming episode to cover using quilts as tablecloths. How do you prefer to make them? Batting or not? How heavy should the quilting be? Binding? My quilts seem too bulky to be used this way, but I’d like to make some. Any suggestions or tips would be appreciated!
June 1st is my birthday I didn’t realize that and I have been with you from the beginning, and this video is a year ago, I love them so I watch over and over ❤️
To the person who inquired about Quilt as You Go, there is a new channel called Pattern Poole TV." It's a mother daughter team from Australia who's focus is QAYG. The mom sews, and demos her method and the daughter designs applique. Very well done.
I love your podcasts! I especially love the family interaction. The information is great and it is so good to get to know you both better. I have met you at quilt market and am looking forward to talking with you in Houston! I am a grandma of 11 and have 3 granddaughters starting to sew - Any good tips on helping them to learn to cut? Right now, I cut and press and they just sew. ❤️
Loved the livestream! Looking forward to more of them. I have to say though, one of the previous podcasts made me SO nervous when I saw Chelsea’s open bottle of red liquid. 😂😂
Would you share the recipe for angel cake/ice cream cake? Love your podcasts. Haven't missed a single one. Congratulations on upcoming one year anniversary!
I was having fun listening abnout your favorite foods. Both the Stroganogh and Chicken divan are big in my house too. I have a combo Sherri and you would like. Chicken Stroganough. Omit the Worchestershire sauce. Use fresh mushrooms lots of garlic and just a sprinkle of fresh lemon rind. serve over Fettuccine.....
Thank you, everyone for another great podcast!! I always look forward to listening to y’all while I cut out fabric or some other quiet quilting task!! Chelsi, did you have the option of sending your kids to school this year? My grands have been going to school all year for the 20-21 school year, wearing masks of course!! I feel bad for you home schooling 3 kids, it’s hard. I’ve had my 3 young grands but they were in school most of the this school year!!
I was watching your new podcast for today and it went right into that one a couple weeks ago and you were talking about somebody wanted to know if you were still in my mom mode at this point and Chelsea said I still call my parents for advice. Well hang onto your chairs because so do and I just turned 70 a few weeks ago and my dad is 92 he is without a doubt the smartest man I know and he is still just as sharp as your best pair of scissors
I have had a problem with a Bella solid charm pack where the charms were not square and sadly half the pack were a little under 5 inches on two sides. This meant I had to trim all my HSTs down to square them which negated my reasons for using precuts in the first place! Great video as usual.
Hello team, I really enjoyed your blogs and the answers to the questions, but I can see that some of the questions are starting to repeat themselves and I was thinking that maybe it could be a good idea to have a few different parts on the blog, like: 1st part updates, show quilts and maybe new items/products, 2nd part Q & A, and 3rd part it could be talking about a quilting topic like: Quilting terminology (HST, bias, etc), types of fabrics you can use in a quilt (cottons, lines, etc), binding when to use 2.25” or 2.5” strips, border widths in relation to the blocks, and other topics related to quilting. Thank you
As we all anxiously await being able to travel in the near future, when and where do you think you will attend a quilting event in person? I so desperately want to attend any event quilt related. I have attended several Houston International Quilt Shows before the pandemic but I'm unsure if it will be held this year. And if it is being held, I don't know if I will attend this year.
Talking about pinked edges on precuts………need to use the outer edge (point) of the pinked edge to get an accurate measurement, if you cut the pinked edge off it will make your 2 1/2 strip, 5 inch square, etc smaller. For a long time I didn’t use the outer point for my edge and my blocks weren’t accurate.
I've recently worked with three layer cake packages (all Moda) that were not sized correctly--two were larger than 10" and the third was wonky with sides of different lengths all around. On the third one, I wasn't able to use the layer cakes for my pattern as one side was too short.
You can store the quilts in the plastic storage containers and just put the bounce dryer sheets in between the quilts it will eliminate the smell of the plastic and they will come out smelling really fresh when you take them out
Do you measure from the top of the pinking or the valley of the pinking? Some of the pinking is "taller" and precut strips don't always match. Should I match up the valleys or the points on a side or center the more narrow on the wider?
Very enjoyable. When you are piecing and one section is a little short, how do you compensate for that? Do you make it work or cut it out again? Thank you.
During your commentary re fabric pinking, I was slicing off the pinking at the same time on my fabric! I do not like the pinking and do not like the proximity to my 1/4" seams. My personal preference.
I don’t enjoy sewing with the pinked edges either. I get them because I want the whole line of fabric at a price I can afford. I find they take me longer to make anything because I always trim the block to an exact 10” because they are never a true 10” square.
There is a quilt right behind Chelsea (only showing a little bit)...I don't recognize the quilt from your live on Saturday...can you tell me what quilt that is? Thank you!!
Do you only sell your fabric in quilt shops? When different sites mention fabrics, they’re not always available at Joann’s and that’s the only fabric location near enough to go for me.
Jera Brandvig has a book "Quilt As You Go Modern" that is excellent, this link is a video that Fat Quarter Shop did where she demos how to do her quilt as you go method. ruclips.net/video/lNbernqwDtE/видео.html
Billy your voice and especially your little chuckle reminds me so much of my younger brother.
Can't help but love you. I'm 71 years old. It's a sister's/ mother's love 💘

Happy Belated Birthday Chelsi! Really enjoy all the videos and live stream. You have a wonderful family and very supportive of each other.
Thank you for sharing such beautiful quotes and good information.
This podcast is just so delightful, relaxing, informative and warm! The interaction between all of you just exudes genuine family love. I look forward to every time! Watch on RUclips.
Loved your Live Stream. Your natural self is what I love to see. Thank you

Another fantastic podcast and loved the question on the family business. Love you guys and thank you for sharing your inspiration and love for quilting with us 💜💜💜💜
What a blessing to work with family in a medium you love!!
You all are the best part of Mondays. Thank you!
I loved the quilt show. Really fun to see all the quilts!
The live stream was awesome. I was there live and I also re-watched it later. Can't wait for more!
Hubby and girlfriend rocked the carry!
Very good podcast. The three of you work good together.
I LOVE the quilt on the wall behind you. Color, design, the whole package. I think I’ll have to get the pattern and fabric when it’s out! 😍
Another fun podcast! Thank you for sharing!

You all rocked the live stream ❤️

Can I come for stroganoff too??? 😂 Sounds yummy, Chelsi. Definitely put the recipe on your blog! I'd love to make it.
Thank you Sherri for answering my question about the pillow shams, it was a very clear answer 😘
June 1st is my birthday I didn’t realize that and I have been with you from the beginning, and this video is a year ago, I love them so I watch over and over ❤️
Good evening from Australia 🇦🇺 where it’s cool autumn, love the sincerely yours fabrics 😍
Praying you don't stop podcast. I have enjoyed it so much. I know that things are opening up and hopefully you don't get too busy to continue.
To the person who inquired about Quilt as You Go, there is a new channel called Pattern Poole TV." It's a mother daughter team from Australia who's focus is QAYG. The mom sews, and demos her method and the daughter designs applique. Very well done.
How are you both doing on your goals for the year?
Love the podcasts. Always interesting.
I really enjoy your Podcast. As far as the heat you can have it
😆 Lol
Happy birthday Chelsi❣️🎉
This was so much fun to watch! Chelsea ... if you don’t like cake, do you make birthday cake for your kids? 💕✂️💕🧵💕✂️💕

I love quilt as you go. You can make any pattern that way. All you do is assemble fully quilted pieces instead of just blocks.
I think you show really well how to be with adult children. Love your dynamic, but the respect for everyone as adults.
Loved the livestream! Looking forward to more of them. I have to say though, one of the previous podcasts made me SO nervous when I saw Chelsea’s open bottle of red liquid. 😂😂
@@chrisrandall7020 me too...I think it was her quilt on the table, though, so I was glad at least it wasn't mine :)
Would you share the recipe for angel cake/ice cream cake?
Love your podcasts. Haven't missed a single one. Congratulations on upcoming one year anniversary!
Billy....we make hot wings in the air fryer. If you have one then you should try it. Amazing!

Such a great idea...thank you!
In New Zealand we have pillows on a bed & cushions for seating & decor
I am visiting Vegas around the 21 May. So excited to check out some quilt shops. What shop is a must ?
Christmas Goose, Quiltique, and Sew Yeah are the only options...I've been going to the Goose for over 20 years and Quiltique since they opened :)
I miss y'all!

Dyann: I’ve never seen with precuts, but that has been my understanding. Thank you ❤️😀
Pillow cases are what we sleep on and we have cushion covers else where in the UK
I have had a layer cake that was cut 10.5”.
I've recently worked with three layer cake packages (all Moda) that were not sized correctly--two were larger than 10" and the third was wonky with sides of different lengths all around. On the third one, I wasn't able to use the layer cakes for my pattern as one side was too short.
Have you ever tried a t shirt quilt or a sports jersey quilt and if so any tips?
Iron on interfacing on the backs of each tshirt block to keep it from stretching when you sew them together.
You can store the quilts in the plastic storage containers and just put the bounce dryer sheets in between the quilts it will eliminate the smell of the plastic and they will come out smelling really fresh when you take them out
I'm with Billy on the wings...traditional with Bleu Cheese is the only wing for me.
Do you measure from the top of the pinking or the valley of the pinking? Some of the pinking is "taller" and precut strips don't always match. Should I match up the valleys or the points on a side or center the more narrow on the wider?
Top usually!
It's the trapped moisture. Use those silica packets in your bins. Yes, sir circulation is best but some of us like bins and baskets.
Hello,
I am interested in knowing what the lower quilt is that is behind Chelsi.
Very enjoyable. When you are piecing and one section is a little short, how do you compensate for that? Do you make it work or cut it out again? Thank you.
Love you both, but Chelsie and I are food-compatible. I love sushi and don’t like chocolate cake. 😂Thanks for another great podcast, ladies.
A pillow sham is also meant to be decorative and be seen where as pillow cases are hidden in bedspreads.
Would love the stroganoff recipe
It's toasty here in Florida also! Love the background quilt. Happy birthday 🎂
Billy you have to try wings in an air fryer. Life changing!
I thought the live stream went very well. Actually, I forgot it was the first one, that’s how smooth it went!
Great 👍😍✂️🧵
Trade ya some of that heat for the cold spring we're getting here in Norther Ontario, Canada!!
During your commentary re fabric pinking, I was slicing off the pinking at the same time on my fabric! I do not like the pinking and do not like the proximity to my 1/4" seams. My personal preference.
I wouldn't pay the extra for precuts if I had to trim them all first. So far I've only bought one jellyroll.
I don’t enjoy sewing with the pinked edges either. I get them because I want the whole line of fabric at a price I can afford. I find they take me longer to make anything because I always trim the block to an exact 10” because they are never a true 10” square.
i don't see the links you referred to during the podcast
please add them. ty
Click the show more button at the top just below the quilting life logo...they are all there :0
Will happy days beach house row be a quilt along?
Yes, just waiting for the pre-cuts to ship :)
In San Antonio we will be hitting 98 degrees today.
There is a quilt right behind Chelsea (only showing a little bit)...I don't recognize the quilt from your live on Saturday...can you tell me what quilt that is? Thank you!!
That's my BlockHeads 3 quilt...
Where can I find a video of using the diagonal seam tape?
here on the channel-- ruclips.net/video/X9UoRUp-a9w/видео.html
@@sherrimcconnell4094 Wow very helpful. Thank you
Do either of you ever free motion quilt your projects?
Only if they are small :)
What do you mean by low volume?
Lighter fabrics usually. Sometimes can mean smaller prints too.
Do you only sell your fabric in quilt shops? When different sites mention fabrics, they’re not always available at Joann’s and that’s the only fabric location near enough to go for me.
Love the Afterglow pattern. I can’t tell what size the pattern is. Twin?
Do you sew with an exact 1/4” or a scant 1/4” seam?
I might have missed it but what time in your video did you talk about Quilt asYou Go?
Your quilts are beautiful.
Jera Brandvig has a book "Quilt As You Go Modern" that is excellent, this link is a video that Fat Quarter Shop did where she demos how to do her quilt as you go method. ruclips.net/video/lNbernqwDtE/видео.html
They only spoke for a few minutes....not much information
👍👍👍👍
👍👍👍👏👏👏🥰🥰🥰🧡💜💙
I enjoy your quilt discussions, Sherri and Chelsea. I have zero interest in food topics.
