Whatever you do I will watch it anyway, I’m sure I’m not the only one .
You are definitely NOT the only one! Lol!
Same here
Dan's videos are always worth the wait.
Whenever he said tomorrow i always took it as, when i can get time to do this. I am absolutely cool with whenever as long as he is healthy.
Same! 💪
450K CONGRATULATIONS !!
Very well deserved Dan .
On to 500k!
Darn! Dan is just flying with this chateau DIY. Congrats Dan.
460 k now , almost 500k!
Somebody get him a faster winch!
Think with the patrons earning him 8 k plus a month he can afford it
@@SSHHABBA Have you seen the price of fuel in France? That would take a lot of that money, plus it's none of our business. Have yourself a wonderful day and be kind.
Can’t the first winch be repaired? The slow winch takes too much time, and that’s time that can be better used. Look forward to the videos.
@@SSHHABBA Iktr!!
The materials alone cost a fortune but I get your point and it’s not like he ever asks 👍 @@SSHHABBA
One of the things I love the most about this channel is just the sheer positivity and the absolute stick to it iveness everyday...
Whatever works for you Dan. I'll watch it whenever you post it. 😊
It’s scary to think the amount of stuff I haven’t done today because I’ve been watching these renovation videos.
For me @ least, part of the allure of your channel, is your contagious enthusiasm & upbeat energy. If every other day helps you maintain your drive & determination: I'm here for it!
And the fact that Dan hasn’t fallen ass over tea kettle. His balence is amazing and frightening at the same time.
Whenever you can Dan. It's just great to see you and what you are going to show us next.
The doors are incredibly beautiful. You should never take them down. Good job! It is ok to do the blogs every other day. We will watch them I’m sure. Have a good day. God bless you.
I agree
I agree
Absolutely
Nah. The saws are not good. Dump them and throw in a regular handle.
I am glade he informed us, that way we can just wait for the change of wheather . It is to dangerious to be up there .
Have a look at Dan's 18th episode from 3 years ago and he takes his family to have a look at an abandoned château. The same château that he now owns and is restoring.
Let's get him to 1mil subscribers asap
The look on his face when he first saw the Chateau!
Congrats at 450,000 subscriptions. You are great! ❤❤❤
Nice work Dan! Just remember that doors need to be beveled on the latch side about 3mm over 45mm to close properly. You should rig a wire through the door to lift those saw latches or you'll get locked into that attic some day...
Thinking the same thing. We had an old outhouse and the latch locked me in from the outside. With wind it could happen. A way to escape would be a good idea!
Dan better get his winch ready then 😂
I thought exactely the same thing, it can became a trap door, frankly l don't like it much, it is scary. !
It looks sharp! I mean dangerously sharp.
@@judydee7644for the boys visiting, I'm inclined to agree.
We will happily watch whenever it works for you to post. You and the chateau come first. 😊
Not quite the door closers I would have expected, but you once again delivered something interesting and FUNctional.
Dan the Man!!
Construction Stairs are looking pretty good by now.
Just saying...
He’s already said why no stairs at this stage. Too dangerous with small children and dogs.
Possibly make the bottom 5 stairs like a removable step ladder? Kinda like a Dutch door, open top for air but bottom closed for safety...
How clever….love the saw latches.
No worries re. the semi daily schedule, thanks for the heads up. Gonna repeat the suggestion of others, an exterior lift for materials would be a godsend at this stage. I’ve used some called ladder hoists that might be perfect for you, can lift up to around 400lbs per trip, and go a bit faster than your winch. Congrats on the new subs milestone! 500K coming next
Just say “see you next time” far less mental pressure! Keep up the good work!
Do what you need to do. We'll be following along. Cheers-
Congrats to the 450K subs, well earned, we love your vlogs! 😊
Every other day is still a very ambitious schedule when you are also rebuilding an entire chateau!
Time for a winch company to step up with a sponsorship. :D
You are getting busy and that is always a good problem to have.
Your doing a Great job .
I just want to say thank you for sharing all your wonderful videos with all of us. I really enjoy watching them. I want to say you are very talented man remind me of my father when he was young he could put anything to thousands and fix it, and I love the doors.
That dead tree, roots above the door, in the wall....... RIP IT OUT, Dan. Spring is here and it will leaf out if you don't watch out!
That is getting to me too. See it over Dan’s shoulder in several recent vids!
It looked like a big spider!
@@patriciaarroni2142 😆
You mean the “spider” from heck aka Australia!? 😂
Have you seen the chateau before now? Who knows what that tree is holding together up there 😂
I love watching your progress . We are on the journey with you Dan to restore this beautiful lady. You're doing a great job and you're always positive and happy. Australia
Haha. Love the use of the old saws as door closures.
Best get out there and buy a bigger, faster winch before the slow one gives uo the ghost!
Has he ordered a new one?
Those saws look a bit precarious to me; they need to be secured somehow for safety when the door is unlatched.
The French influence, cheap and easy.
Yeah, the whole thing must have become a bit too safe for his taste. Didn't feel quite at home no more😅.
Impressive use of the old saws. Well done on the door job.
Whatever you do I will follow it anyway. Take your time. And congrats for 450K!!!
Great!! Door look amazing! Love the saw/locks! You may want to attach an emergency rod to pick in case the doors swing close and fall into locking position. Take care!!! Thanks for sharing!
Loooovvvveeee Watching the view numbers jump!!! Lol
Will continue to happily watch when ever you post. Really enjoy seeing the progress you make.😊
Did you just say 'ish'...lol...I'm blown away by how much you get done and filming as well...love the saws btw, very DIY...we'll be waiting...!
Whatever fits you're schedule best Dan, I will keep on following and watching. I wouldn't mind some behind the build videos either, I can't imagine the amount of planning and work goes into this mega build. Maybe you can do a more informative video on that in the future. 😊
Lastly, amazing doors you've made there.❤
Hi. Thanks for thinking of us!! The American touch on the doors. Now you will remember us every time you see the doors. 😂🇺🇸
Ps, take all the time you need, genius takes time.❤❤❤❤❤❤
Love the saw latches. You are mile from the garden at LaLande now. Very happy for you.
Love the hinges on these doors Dan! The old Saws is a great upcycle too. Sad about the Daily video but you need the time to take careof yourself as well as all the other projects going on lol. No worries, I for one look forward to any video you're able to put out on this old beauty. Be safe, be well, and we hope to see you soon lol.
"I will see you the day after tomorrow."
New catchphrase.
Great blogs, doors look amazing.
That’s like getting the evening news on TV every other day? You created this monster….now you’ve got to feed it with more content to keep it alive!!
I really think that creating this vlog is not a monster that has to be fed. It’s a gift. I’m aware that this is making money for Dan. But the creativity is what matters, Dan’s solutions. Starting with nothing, on a wobbly scaffolding. Digging dirt for weeks. And then this result. It’s an inspiration for many people.
The monster that Dan created is us, ravenously devouring the content. I want more, I want to stay on the “merry go round”, I need my daily fix. My day isn’t complete without seeing Dan and the Chateau.
@@idapiano I agree that the vlog didn’t start out as a monster, but Dan’s unique project, his willingness to take risks, his great attitude, and his unparalleled work ethic have now drawn nearly half a million subscribers. That puts him in the top 0.5 percent of the 51 million RUclips channels. In the industry that’s known as a Gorilla Channel. This creates a voracious demand for content by his followers that needs to be fed to keep them happy. Without frequent content uploads, his subscription base may deteriorate. While you may call it inspirational, many find it addictive. The addicts won’t be happy if he cuts back on their daily fix.
I really enjoy this channel you do what you have to do and I will enjoy watching along my friend
Hey Dan, love the doors, great idea. I agree a video every other day, maybe two is a good idea. You need more time building your Chateau then talking to us.
4 days so far, I think he's locked in the attic becase of the doors and saws.
Yes I am sad to say, it might take Ten years to get a roof on!
He gets money from Patreon whether he pretends to work on that ruin or not.
So, why would he bother! @@jimcarlisle2309
Thanks for the warning about the videos. I won't hover over RUclips to see the next updates every day.
A long time ago I watched you building your first home. Maybe less 10000 subs. Now you’re on a easy road to 500k. Everything you do is impressive. We love you Dan!
You never cease to amaze us. ❤❤❤❤❤
Whatever you need to do!!! 🎉🎉🎉 love the saw locks ❤
That ok. Just do what u need to do. Will still be here.😊😊😊
Whilst I love the daily videos one can't keep burning the candle at both ends - especially when one has what is a monumental task ahead. I'd like to think we have developed both a loyal understanding community who are also realistically patient. You do what you need to do 😎😎😎
I will watch you no matter the schedule. I think you are wonderful
Door looks fabulous and the shop looks even better. Thanks Dan, for the best 4 minutes of television anywhere going tonight. See ya day after tomorrow-ish, for sure.
i want you to get work done as efficiantly as you need! We will be here when ever you upload!
Glad you let us know as we are concerned if you miss a day. We watch regardless as we are enthralled with the progress and the dream of a finished chateau. 😊
Im glad you are changing the filming schedule. The brickwork, lugging lumber around, and framing is heavy work, and although we want to make sure you don't get drunk and sleep all afternoon, this is heavy and hard work, and it really should be the priority until the roof is on, and the floors are up. Once you get the roof on, you can film your daily trips to the places to find your favorite wall paper, your favorite paints, you found a fancy fckin chair for the entrance. You got some heavy work to do right now, so don't let the camera get in the way.
Not sure if you saw my comment above.........Ha, at first glance I saw @davidanalyst671 user's comment, I thought his name was Davi Danalyst - as in analyzing Dan. Quite a good description for this group. We've all become Danalysts!! 🤣
I will be here no matter how often you post. We all know you are working your tail off. Be safe.
You are doing a great job what ever your doing .
Cant wait for you videos to be more consistent again, so frustrating waiting day after day
Good plan Dan. Hope you get a new winch soon. Doors look great.
No matter what, I'm still going to check every day and if there's no video, oh well, but if there is, yay!!
Thank you for allowing us the privilege to watch you bring this chateau back to its former glory.
Totally understand about the every other day vlogs, you do what you need to to catch up. But just so you know, I will miss the dailies. Didn't want you to think that I wouldn't miss them. 😊
We'll watch wherever you get the chance to post. We really enjoy your videos. Those doors are gorgeous. Pretty soon you'll be recognized all over the world for your Craftmamship, perseverance and sheer dedication to that historical diamond in the rough.
Love the new latches! Thank you for the update on how often I can anticipate seeing you on RUclips!
Easy with 10 workers. But we got faith in you Dan😊. Always great job❤
Catch Frase idea: Until the next time. I like the latch idea good use for old tools. Your decision for videos every other day is a good idea Dan. You can take a break from filming, and it gives you time to prepare. Whenever you are ready to film Dan, we will be here, as always to support you. After all we are your computer watching family and family should always sticks together. So, guess you are stuck with all of us! So, bye for now, Until the next time. :)
Bye for now is a great one
How do you know videos every other day is a good idea?
Are a you a RUclipsr?
Nope.
You don't know how often Dan needs to publish to make the money he needs to make.
You've got no clue.
@@theduchess9019 Dan is working on balancing his life. He knows better than you or I what he needs and wants in his life. We need to respect that.
That was a good idea! It’s taking shape up there now! ⛓️🗜️🔧🔨
Love the saw latches. I look forward to seeing you when you have the time to edit your vlogs. Way to go Dan K🇬🇧❤️❤️
Good decision. Its about getting the chateau safe and sound. X
Just keep em comin. You're family now.
O my days. Love the ingenuity Dan.
I saw those door latches coming in a dream 😀😂
What a good idea Dan….you need to have more time to yourself, we will watch whenever the blogs appear. Just love the doors, especially the saws,
I recently went to a Cafe and they had used rolling pins as handles…an idea for your kitchen!😃
You do what you need to do. It's what's in your best interest and convenience. We'll always be watching know matter when, have a great and productive day.😊
Dan: love the door latches. And your decision for videos every other day is a wise one. Smart thinking on both. Carol from California
The doors look great, love the latches. The schedule change is is going to be good for you, hopefully allowing for a bit more rest a few nights a week. Looking forward to seeing the next project!
450k! 🎉 Well done!
It’s fun to watch when you have help. The camaraderie and progress.
Put a big oak beam at roof height like in the past and some pulley systems. You're going to need it for a couple of years so sooner or later.
Enjoy all your videos. It's amazing what some passio can do.
Best wishes
All is well, Dan. You do pretty good for a basically one-man show.
Good idea Dan. The vlogs must be hard work and they take away from your precious rebuilding and family time. I’d be happy with once a week really.❤
Every other day works. I will keep watching. It's really amazing what you are doing. A temporary stairs to the first floor could help cut down some of the time, lifting things to the other floors or even between the two workshops, which could help streamline some of the prep work. All the same, you are getting to the moment where you can put the permanent solution in place. More exciting moments are coming Dan.
Two doors, easy
-ish. Lol love it 😂
From the good ol’ USA where the finest dining establishments decorate with old hand tools, please promise the saws are not staying forever and always! That said, top marks for creativity and problem resolution. They will look fabulous in your wood shed one day. But right now the historian part of me is shuddering and oddly craving a beer. Will be watching for future episodes. Respectfully yours from the land of tool decor.
Feel free to catch up and only send videos when you can. I will be watching every episode as it arrives👍🏻👏🏻
My sister in law spent $80 au an old saw that had been painted on to put on her wall. I thought it was a waste of an old saw. I love your idea. It’s still useful. I have several under the house. Going to be looking for somewhere to put them now 😊
Great idea! It has to be hard to maintain interest and get the mundane chores done. See you soon!
Dan, We Hope you're able to get a new wench soon! Love the use of old saws on the door! looks sooo classic! every other day is good. I hope you'll be able to get all caught up quickly! especially being slowed down by that ridiculous wench ya gotta work with now! See ya... when! Stay safe and healthy!!!
I quite like the wench you've got now, I'm sure we'll miss her if get a new one!!!😅😅😅😅😅😅😅❤
Man! You blow me away with everything you have done. Just amazing!
You need to do you and when the videos come, I'll be waiting....
You’ve saved yourself about 700 pound plus making your own quality doors like that . Well done.
I'm happy with what ever video schedule you follow. But the structure is now really starting to come together. What's next? Floors for the tower or the floors in the other wing? Get at safely Dan.
Hiring a young enthusiastic apprentice / assistant, would speed things up considerably. He does the grunt work and you get to do all the creative building!
Would make total sense but I doubt he will do it.😢
Because, as he has already said, there are health and safety issues at this point in time.
His ego grew too big, like his channel.
@@angelaregan475All can be handled if he chooses.
we'll wait for ya Dan!!! every epi is exciting, and you've moved mountains in one year!!! now it gets intricate and we home builders know how much time it takes!!!
Temporary stairs and an outside winch that would allow large quantities of mortar to be lifted from the mixer through windows would be nice.
Fantastic Doors 🤩🇩🇰👏👍👍🤩
How about “see you in two” 😁.
What are we going to do without our “daily dose of Dan???”
Or Monday, Wednesday and Friday with his weekends off.
I'll take to the bottle!😊
I just rewatch previous vlogs.
Do what you have to do Dan. Thank you for letting us know. I did like the use of the old saws for latches on the doors. It’s fun and clever and recycling, reusing so that’s excellent. You could say TTFN. As in ta ta for now. Or you could say, see you in a bit. Or you could say, see you in a few. There are so many options. Thank you. May you please take care and stay safe. Louisa. 👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️🤩🤩🤩
2:30 Just hope that one doesn’t fall down, when you’re inside!
good point.
I agree!
😮 Not happy about "Every other day", but I suppose I'll have to put up with it! 😢
Fantastic progress!
Hoping for a video tonight!
Nice little video and great to see your changing the schedule to every other day as on a project like this unless you have a dedicated videographer it is super difficult to do the work you do and then spend 3+hours making a video to upload to RUclips ever single day, Monday Wednesday and Friday should be plenty enough vidoes in a week and still show any and all progress
What ever you do we viewers will be happy!! Love the doors!!❤❤
A bit funny that it was supposed to be daily when it was twice a week, so now that it's every 2 days (this video was posted 4 days at the time of writing) I fully expect to get a video every 10 days or so:))
