I love how the third guy nods in disapproval every time Dan or Nick throws a whole bag of cement in the mixer 🤣 I feel your pain brother! 🤣
Puppy minute is a great idea. So would a name for the adults and different color cooler for each of them. How about a little contest for a name for the older dogs and later on for the puppies
Right!!😂
@@lindaharvey2649 His first two dogs already have names.
I learned today that a little papier-mâché in the mix probably doesn’t matter.
Maybe rebar does
A one-minute puppy update every time would be great.
yes!
Definitely! 😊
Please even a quick glimpse of puppies would be appreciated ❤🐾🦴
dog #2 looks a bit lost, but I guess she isn't allowed near her friend right now
👏👏👏pleeeease
One of the best things about Dan’s Videos…more working than talking ❤
Yes, but more puppies, please!
And it's not a music video
Yes some of the guys doing Reno’s like the sound of their own voices and just ramble on to fill in for lack of content.
@@susanbdusan2785 No kidding, right? Featuring newborn puppies, Dan will get to 500k in no time!
Actually, I could use a little more commentary at the beginning. What are you doing? Is that Nick's son or someone else. Just like to know. Always a fan, tho.
Gloves, Dan! Gloves! (Marvelous new invention that saves wear and tear on the ol' fingers!) 😊
Safety shoes Dan!!! Broken toe would set you back.
While moving 10 ton walls and granite shoes with steel toes would actually be helpful in the event of a falling wall. Sneakers will not cut it
@@mmm365 Evidently not. (lol)
(Bitch Mittens)
Yup. Science's latest triumph.
As someone who builds concrete foundations for a living, I hereby politely hand in my protest note for everything I saw in today's video.
hahaha.....oh well...
Sort of the vibe I get with the whole project. Everything feels like it's done to be quick, not well :p
It feels like he doesn't even have plans for the reconstruction!
I’m surprised there was no rebar in the concrete, unless I missed it
If you look closely at the.pour around 3.47 you will spot the rebar!!
I love what you are doing. I went back to school at age 40. Some questioned how old i would be when I finished. My response, "How old will I be if I don't?" Time will pass whether you are working toward a goal or not. The only difference is, you will achieve yours.
The day one stops learning should be one’s last day on this earth.😊😊😊🎉🎉🎉
Wise statement, - thanks!
Totally agree
The rhododendrons by the car park look lovely. Planting while building is so clever.
Dan …….. puppies!!!!!! You forgot the puppies!!! Xx
Sure. He’s busy!
We need more film of the puppies. Get Stephanie round to film them.
He's got building work to do.
Yep, missed the "Border Collie" pups.
However, we did one of the adult Border Collie numerous times.
"But what about the puppies?!?!" was the first thing I said when the video ended!
Normally I am watching Dan et al, at breakfast time at my home in Bali. For the last 12 days i have been in Kashmir and Ladakh and this morning i am at an elavation of 15000 feet.Does that make Dan the highest watched vlog. He makes my day. More please of the surprise pups😊
I think the first time that Dan puts on a pair of gloves the Internet will explode.
His girlfriends will be happy!
He does wear goggles occasionally.
Why is this channel so captivating? I’m 40 year old woman on the other side of the world. 😂
Great job boys. ❤❤
Progress is so uplifting
I’m a 76 year old woman across the pond. Go figure. 😉
Im a 69 year old woman who likes to watch young men doing what she can’t to any more. I love Dan’s building, planting, video and most of all enthusiasm.
I am 55 from Hong Kong , so happy to see Dan”s progress. I really want to fly to France to help Dan😁
I’m a 72 year old woman from PEI ….east coast of Canada….Dan fan!!!
Almost 500k! I want to see a dinner celebration on the roofed part of the chateau. Good work everyone.
What a great way to start the day in Tasmania, watching the Chaumont team starting the final ascent!
Love Tasmania (except perhaps Swansea where EVERTHING shuts at 7pm)
Yes, watching from beautiful Hobart, Tasmania 😎
Hello fellow Taswegian, from St Helens.
Hello from Brisbane QLD 💕🇦🇺💕
Hello from the Devonport.
The old girl has finally reached the point of truly restoring her. New foundations are permanent. I'm so happy for you all!
Do the think those foundations would pass a building inspection?
@@grahamfree3175 He has inspectors and permits. As I understand it things are being done correctly.
Not in my country probably😅 an engineer has to calculate exactly how much steel has to be put in which position in the concrete and the concrete itself has some regulations itself aswell. I don't know what kind of weight will be put onto the new wall but as someone who works in exactly this kind of engineerig office I can tell you that an engineer would put a lot of effort into these calculations because it sometimes is not as easy as it seems to calculate the new weight distribution in very old structures😊
No more dirt to pull out .
Did anyone see any rebar?
Every day I can watch Nick run an excavator is a good one!
Of course, when Dan does it, it just looks wrong.
I am here for anything that is Dan, pappies, babies, the gardin, his cooking , his friends, and his mansion. But not just construction of the chateau. I am here for the full ride. Anything Dan share is all right for me, let him decide. He is free, we do not own him. AT THE MOMENT IT IS SO EXCITING , but especially because Dan is so happy with all the progress...... it is beautiful to see him so happy!
Did anyone else see the hose leak and immediately think FlexTape?! Love the progress ❤
No, I thought Dutch Boy. ...
Being Dan we ALL thought bubblegum! ❤️🙏
You guys are amazing! More pictures of the puppies please.❤😊
Nothing better than watching real men do real work lol, makes an older! Lady very happy 🤗
I think it's better when Dan takes his shirt off. 😂😂😂
Makes a real gay older man happy too. 😂
Wait til Calvin shows up. Dude is Seriously Built!!
Some creepy chit right here…
Ha! I love it at the end of a hard day in the office!
I know it has been said before but Nick is the MASTER on those mini diggers, such finesse.
I don’t know how you all work in the rain , but you do ,and make it seem so natural. I am loving to watch the construction of the floors and seeing how you accomplish this project. I love the videos!
Love the look on the guys face when Nick throws everything into the mixer .lol .How is Elsa and the puppies ,hope she is over the shock Of being a Mum .
3 machines going non stop and that not the counting the real machinery. Great work again!!! I just love renovations.
Like that concrete over flow board, on the transporter. Great idea.
Congratulations on your work which we see progressing day by day, and thank you for the heritage of France which is being restored.
It still amazes me how hard you and your friends are working toward your dream.
Dan what an awesome team you have to help you achieve this last push to get to the top! Not only are you still Dan the Man but so are the men working hard along side you.
Nice progress, Dan and team 👏 . Yay, Orange 🍊 pants back soon ❤loved watching. See you tomorrow 😀
That concrete mixture is waaay too wet. Too much water added to the mix means that excess water is retained inside the concrete after the curing process has finished. This will often result in the formation of small cracks as the water eventually evaporates over time, which reduces the compressive strength of the concrete.
I would recommend getting a pair of IBC totes to store water in. They can be connected together by their outflow valve and loaded in from the top. Set them about 4 feet off the ground and you have gravity feed power. They hold about 320 gallons each and can be found pretty cheap. You just need to find one that was used by the food industry. Typical ones are ones that held syrup. We pay about $60-80 each. Paint them black to prevent algae buildup and you can use them in conjunction with a filter system and you can send water into your chateau.
Not very many men these days willing to put in all the hard work you guys are doing. Exciting/interesting to watch… thank you!
I guess you've never seen a construction site.
Maybe get out of the city a bit more?!
Gotta get the dogs spayed!
Very important!
Hoffe Elsa ist mit den Welpen in einer Welpenbox an einem ruhigen warmen Ort. 🤗
Watching all these videos is like a
Walk down memory lane- for the renovators among us .
SO much fun to remember the projects !!!!
Fortunately, my memories are not so bad, I trust you applied more competence?
Thirteen renovation/ restorations on my end.
Memories!?! This pair of sixty plus are doing kitchen reno. Aside from the countertop install guys and young muscle to help remove a 150 pound cast iron sink, its just us. And we are remembering all our construction projects from before!
That's a new thing , the whole cement bag going in ! i kinda like it
Dan thinks the bag acts like rebar!
@@gerryhartung736😅😅😅
He putt the rebar, he did.
I like the way you transfer the contents of the paper cement bag into the mixer! It’s a good job. The cement is in a paper bag which is compostable compared to being in a plastic bag.
I love that the daily videos are back 🤩
Hello Escape to the Chateau/rural France Chat Crew!
❤👋hi 😊
👋
Do you think that adding paper to the concrete mixture strengthened or weakened the mixture? As I understand it, this will be a load bearing wall.
I'm loving the safety shoes this time Dan (09:14). The well, the cement foundation, wall coming down, lots of tractor work ... bloody hell it is all kicking off !!! You might be finished by September going at this speed 🙂
Maybe Christmas. Stephanie and Philip can decorate the Christmas tree in the front hall!
"Lovely, free, smelly water..." 😂 You're going to have a roof atop this section soon and a dry chateau by winter. Incredible job as always Dan!
Clean dirty water. Perfect for concrete.
By US specs it should be potable water.
Teamwork makes the dream work.
Only 4 more floors of noggins!! Wow things are moving so fast. Amazing, well done and hope your pups are well.
Exciting to see the start of work on the last section of the Chateau. Best wishes to the team!
Equipment has increased making it tons better..cutting down the man hours ..you have done overtime many times on that for sure..always excited and smiling..thanks Dan..❤
Oh no more rain, but it doesn’t seem to slow you down. Keep doing what your doing .
Good for the new plants in the garden though 👍👍👍👍
Clever solution to the concrete slopping out of the pwered barrow - Kudos!
This is amazing!!! Wonderful!!!
Don't know what I enjoy the most in this content. The dogs, the castle, France, you guys?!
Amazing work!
I am not sure if the project is for it to be accessible to the public one day, but if it is, I cannot wait !
Add to that all the health and safety/OSHA managers in the comments.
I can't blame them, I kinda agree with them and I have felt this way for makers in the past. I ended up unfollowing them and stopped watching their videos because it made me uncomfortable.
Hiya Dan 🙋🏻♀️🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾😎 how many pups... Great progress.. wheres Orange Pants Man 😍😜
If I head Dan right, Calvin and his orange pants are arriving in two weeks.
7 pups
@@Rosarium2007 thanks 😃👏
@@ruthblack3676 thanks 😲🐾🐾.. wonder how the new mommy is getting on
Yall made it look easy. I realize each task, matters and isnt easy. Thanks to each of you, i get to watch a Ruin Chateau come back together. ❤🎉
I love the comaraderie amongst the 3 of you. I’m sure the off camera banter is hilarious. The lovely free smelly water will be filling up again after all that rain. Hope the little pups and Elsa are staying warm and dry and are doing well. Can’t wait for tomorrow!
So wonderful to watch the progress.
Nick just chucking the bag in 😅😅😅
Everytime I see this channel, it works wonders in my head. I just love your video work. You make even "noggins" interesting. So excited to see the progress that something old and decaying can be brought back and restored. Thank you for including us all.
Foundation Poured and other Preperation's - more Progress - 4 Floors to be Build - how Exciting ! Many Cheers from Australia!!!!
1 minute - and 264 people have already this this video :-D
Flowers looked great.👍👍👍
What can I say except, another fantastic video.
Jeff❤
You work so hard not only on the Chateau but your videos!
Thank you Dan so much going on exciting thank you for taking us along for this journey! 😀😍
Can't believe how may views in 8 mins !! Nice video Dan you can see your excitement growing vid by vid. Can't wait for the next one.
Ah, cement mixer, we've missed you!
Good evening everyone!
More noggins coming up! Thank goodness, I was having withdrawal symptoms.
What can I say, u are all great workers. Plus hope the new babies an mom are doing well. Bet the boys are thrilled.
Like the progress. Can’t wait to see all the floors in. Hope the puppies r doing well.
I love the look on that guys face every time he throws the bag in the mixer priceless lol😂
This is the easy stuff. Once you get it completely roofed in then the interior work begins. That's where the details are done and you have to take time to get it all nice.
Calvin better hurry, u guys might be done by then lol. Coming along nicely. Wish I could be there. I love construction work.
Omg! That was hilarious when he just chucked the whole bag in at 11:13.
Dan!
You're showing your sentimental side. It's so sad to be finishing up the last section of flooring. So sweet.
There is so much stone work to do on this upper middle part of the Chateau. A very big project at every step.
Well done 👏.
Whoohoo!! Bring on the Puppies!
Seven minutes on air and almost 800 likes!
3 hours since it was up loaded and 105,000 views yet only 15,000 thumbs up or likes ☹️☹️😩😩 come on peoples at least we can all give a thumbs up for all the work they get through. 😀😀😀👍👍👍. Thank you to all of you who do 👍👍👍👍
Just a joy to watch. Thanks Dan
Great progress as usual. All working in sync. Trust in the process and the team, they have their hands on the issues and work diligently. Go team Dan😊
This is the first time I have seen somebody throw in the cement bag into the mixer in the entirety, I mean WITH the bag .... lol
seems to me you'd have to mix it for so long it wouldn't be worth it. or pull the bags back out. A partial bag would like create gaps in the concrete.. making it weak, plus I didn't see any rebar or any structural support.
@@Mr_Timi1 There is some rebar visible for a second or two.
@@thomasw.eggers4303 It should be sticking out of the concrete to support a load bearing wall
Too cool one more big thing off the list, now we need a song...here comes the floors and on goes the roof ..you groovy guy just carry on..❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Cutie pie pups..
Dan,Nick, handsome helper. You guys are doing a great job. The new cement base for the wall came out fantastic. I’m glad progress is moving along greatly. Until tomorrow. Guys please, take care and stay safe. Love ya 🍺🍺🍺🌞👍🕊❤️🌈🙏😇🌹🇺🇸
Brian.
Marvellous to see how things are progressing Dan. Warms the ❤️
Can't wait to see all roofs go on. Great job all of you.
Onward and UPWARD! ❤
It's a great idea. Especially that it is continuing the night watch.
The Interesting project. ❤
Dan , I liked the way you made sure that all the loose Debris was taken down before building in there.
Good team work guys, I feel your excitement Dan, onwards and upwards.
Always such a buzz to watch each video. 🎉🎉🎉🎉
I just love that new large blue cement mixer! What an improvement over the little one!
GREAT work, progress, and video! Se safe!
I look forward to these videos each day! Please consider making them longer!
Looking great so far see you all tomorrow 😊
Love seeing all these young men working so hard together ❤❤❤❤ sending hugs
This is way better than watching hgtv
The plants will love “lovely free smelly water”.
Where is Calvin?
I miss him.
Glad to hear he’s coming back.
Dan said towards the end he’ll be back in two wks/orange pants that is. 👍
Mistakes are useful when you can learn from them. No power in the world can't stop you do them. Keep going!
Good morning team Dan ❤
Fantastic that all the debris is all now gone -ski’s from the Château …
Onwards and upwards at the warp speed of light…
Then comes the rebuilding of walls for the roofs then all the windows and the final fine tuning of the floors … before you know it your moving in 😂
It’s getting extremely exciting cause Calvin’s coming to join the team …
See you tomorrow ❤
Ps hugs to the puppies 🐶
RAIN!!! Is it just me, or has there been lots of rain on the Chateau and your work. Ugh. More than anything, I hate being cold and wet. 💪 Wish I could bring you coffee and biscuits.
The race to the top is in full swing… ❤❤❤❤
That’s excellent, now up we go.
Incredible progress, Dan!!! 🥰🎶🌻🎶👀🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🏰🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷
SO impressed with your progress!!!
Watching this from near Seattle, Washington State, USA
Dan, the sparkle in your eyes says it all!
Yep, a bit of paper in the Cement I always liked your Style Dan. Creative and energetic he is this new nice locking young Man !
Brian is his name.
They should pack cement into fibreglass bags so it would make instant fibre reinforced concrete.
How are the puppies ❤❤❤
