I will never get people complaining about the verticality to Die Rise. I played that map about 500 different times and only fell to my death a handful of times.
I personally loved Die Rise, getting used to what jumps you can or can't make is the whole skill gap on the map, PHD wouldve just turned it into a normal map. Probably in my top 3 favorite maps ever and I cant handle all the slander😢
@@nJudasHonestly I don’t even get where people focus on PHD so much on Die Rise… There’s about 1-2 spots where you can land somewhere but the fall damage kills you. Otherwise, your main way of falling to your death is into the void, and PHD ain’t saving you from that. What they need is suicide nets that catch you and make you restart the climb or something like that.
I like that I have to do the EE to get to my round 100 strat. Makes me feel like a high round game on that map is a mission. A lot of people would disagree with that but I enjoy doing it. It’s an easy egg and you get everything you need by doing it anyways. Plus a free perkaholic too lol
But if you really think about it Nacht being low is actually good because it's shows improvement through the years imagine Nacht being better than recent maps (Vangaurd excluded)
thats valid tbh, i have 11 compleations on alpha omega but it has ages like milk. It was fun in the beginning but the intrest is lost fast because the map is kaka
then again, doing anything with your best friend makes it a good time, hell I had loads of fun playing dead space 3 with my buddy, but fun does not make quality! Misery loves company.

1:02:30 I would put shadows of evil in A tier because of only one thing: Its a 4 player easter egg. You cant do the boss fight in solo, 2 players and 3 players.
As someone who didn’t really get into CoD until the og MW2 and who’s first map was Kino, I’d say it’s a really great map to start on if you’re new but in all honesty it does get boring very fast imo, at least solo playing with friends is really what the mode is all about but at this point I’d rather play solo since most people leave after their first down. When he brought up Buried at 16 I immediately questioned how Kino is better, and I knew the reason he put Buried that low was because of how quickly you can set everything up and camp in a single corner with the dubstep machine and the paralyzer

I got an ROG Ally a few months ago, and am just now getting into custom maps on bo3. Already have 2 versions of Town and Nuketown from Steam's Workshop. Can't wait for the Victus maps in their entirety.
I absolutely think that with PhD die rise could be significantly better but for the remaster you are working on it might be a good idea to also fix the issue with constantly waiting on elevators

Main easter egg needs to be to save the Titanic and it's people, get rid of all the clutter bosses like the needless blue green red and blight father, keep the stoker, Improve the wonder weapon and just make the map slightly wider. That's it. That's literally all it'd take, because the idea of the map is hype.
Nacht being 2nd to last is hideous. It started everything the map is small BUT amazing. Nuketown is far worse than Nacht. Die rise is worse than Nacht.
So what people are looking for is a map simple enough to keep the simple player base but also complex enough to have harcore tryhards coming back with a cool ee but easy enough wonder weapons and a cool story
The best zombies map of all time? Kino der Toten, Black Ops 1. To me, it's as good as it gets. It was originally supposed to be in World at War but it was cut due to time constraints. Thankfully, Treyarch was able to finish it up, polish it up, and release it with Black Ops, cause it was good. Really good. So many iconic weapons. Layout was a perfect blend of simple and complex and the enemies were all unique and fun to fight. Plus, Kino had some of the best music in any COD Zombies map ever which made it even more addicting to play through and grind over and over. Call me old school, but I think Kino is the absolute best zombies map ever released and I could play it a million times without ever getting bored.
to answer lex about WAW and the last time we played it, I personally played it today, on Plutonium, with custom zombies maps. Nothing will beat the WAW custom zombies, not even bo3 considering majority are remakes of WAW maps LOL
Ascension should have been the launch map for Bo1.. they could have launched with something new and innovative, then release Kino which brings back familiarity due to Kino being almost the same as Der Riese. It worked out in the end but would have liked to see this release order.

Honestly kino just feels like a grind to play, like you play it for a purpose rather than for fun. It's so linear in how you do anything that after you get set up, you just rinse and repeat whatever you do to get to high rounds. Objectively, it doesn't really have much else going for it, not really any Easter eggs or side missions, hardly any lore, and the combination of bo1 zombie guns and the crawlers really drag it down. I mean I guess NoStAlGiA could have a factor but no amount of nostalgia is great enough for me to want to go back and play it today. It's just boring af

Buried was the last zombies map I played full-time until Bo3s Nacht brought me back and then after Bo3 I retired from zombies full-time until Die Machine brought me back

Zetsubu is so easy you just do the skulls and upgrade the kt4 and then an easy boss fight. The lighting and plane are timed so you can sit on the same round and just do them both

What irks me about the Revelations critique is that it’s exactly what everyone wanted, a best of zombies map, and yet is constantly looked down upon. I understand there’s very little in the way of originality but that was the point and the map is sewn together beautifully with a fantastic flow and fun overpowered nonsense which is why I feel it should’ve been put higher at least along the lines of Kino and Ascension. I cared about the story but not really enough to have the anticlimactic ending spoil my view of this map but that’s just me
My problem with Rev isn't the visuals or design, is more to the fact the map doesn't have too much to do besides the easter egg, basically no side quests
De and origins are literally a 50/50 I prefer atmosphere of origins and story but I prefer the flow and ease of DE think u can literally put either above each other
Blood is better than mob aside from nostalgia. Blood was the first map i ever played in zombies and im not ashamed. I heard mob was the best map of all time, i played it and i think blood is better. Sure afterlife is cool, but other than that blood is much better.
Town should be way higher. It set the culture of zombies. Especially if you put shi no Numa up there for it’s simple fun. Town is the DEFINITION of simple basic zombies fun
You guys are spoiled having BO1 zombies be your first and above. WAW was mine, got it from block buster back in 08 with a friend of mine. We played it all night and Nacht was the only map. I still go back to WAW regularly

Amazing on paper, horrible in execution. The map was just Too ambitious at the time with the hardware limitations. I guarantee you tho, that if they remastered BO2 maps in BO4 tranzit would become A tier or high B

You guys are spoiled having BO1 zombies be your first and above. WAW was mine, got it from block buster back in 08 with a friend of mine. We played it all night and Nacht was the only map. I still go back to WAW regularly

Amazing on paper, horrible in execution. The map was just Too ambitious at the time with the hardware limitations. I guarantee you tho, that if they remastered BO2 maps in BO4 tranzit would become A tier or high B
