I helped one of my mom’s friends find a binary serial number. She didn’t see what it was at first, but when I told her, she got pretty excited. It was a US $1 note with the serial number containing only 0s and 8s. Based on my research, bills like that one is worth around US $80.
pretty much any new £1 coin atm has 2016 on them, it's the rest stamp on the back that makes it rare. even then, i would still suggest hanging on to a 2016 £1 (new) as well as the oldest £1 coin you can find

After reading the comments I have a few things to say. If you have a Star note. Don't ask if it's worth a lot. It's not currently. What you would want to do is hope that it is not bent or folded then you want to get it graded so that it stops degrading. Then in a few years maybe or hell a few decades it could be a nice pay out. Secondly, The 1943 penny should be made out of copper to be worth a lot of money. The way to test this is to try to stick a magnet on it. If it sticks then it's steel and not worth shit. Don't just judge it by looks because steel and copper rust at the same color so a steel penny may appear to be copper.Another thing to look for on coins is double dyeing. Which will make letters and numbers sometimes features double kind of like this > §TATES. Goodluck everyone~
No you should never EVER clean a coin. If you do it will become worthless. Dirty coins are better then clean ones. The only way you could get away with cleaning a coin is if you painstackingly and maticulously clean all of the coin which includes all the dents spaces between letters on every edge. But even then an expert coin collector will spot that it has been cleaned by the scratch marks cleaning leaves it. See when you clean a coin it removes the outer layer that protects the coin then the coin will become more vulnerable to rusting and discoloration and deterioration.

The reason they started minting the 1943 copper penny in steel was because there was a copper shortage. The reason there was a shortage is because the government issued a international hold on all copper production because they needed it for the atomic bomb. At that time we were in a arms race with Russia. So the fact that only 40 copper pennies was minted at that time makes them super rare since yearly they mint millions if not billions of a certain coin per year.

Actually the star notes are not worth that much unless they are in super mint condition which is impossible to get unless it gets handed to you from a bank and you hold it with 2 hands without folding it or bending it and then you deliver it to a grading facility in a unbendable envelope and they grade it grade AAAAAAAA. Then it will be worth something. Star notes are not as rare as he says in the video. All the other information however is accurate.

And online prices are not always the true value there exaggerated you can see ebay listings on stars notes that are for a 100 dollars and then others for 6 dollars and at coin shops for cheaper sometimes and it always depends on condition or date

I took it to a coin expert and she said that if i got it verified from this government coin verification place via mailing it to them with all the paperwork and get it back in a case then the value would be from $300 (poor condition)-$20,000 (uncirculated/mint condition) or i could auction it and possibly get more money off of it.

In 1955, my mother received a bunch of pocketbooks from her neighbors down the street. One of them jingled, so she tore the lining open and inside she says were 3 1943 bright new shiny copper (Bronze is the correct term nowadays) cents. She asked all around if they were worth anything, but most people in the mid 50s didnt know about the 43s. So after trying to see if they were worth anything, she game up, tossed in 2 more cents and bought a pack of GUM. UGGH. 3 MS65+ RED 1943 Bronze cents lost to time. For the record, the 1st reported 1943 bronze cent was 1958 to the ANA. Hence why noone really knew about the value of the ones my mom spent in 1955 :(

Actually the star notes are not worth that much unless they are in super mint condition which is impossible to get unless it gets handed to you from a bank and you hold it with 2 hands without folding it or bending it and then you deliver it to a grading facility in a unbendable envelope and they grade it grade AAAAAAAA. Then it will be worth something. Star notes are not as rare as he says in the video. All the other information however is accurate.

I'm a coin and bill collector and the part about the star notes is not true at my local coin shop they sell them for cheap prices and online you can get two for 6 dollars so do you research next time there not that rare and for all of saying that you had A 1943 penny it doesn't mean you had the rare one I have 56 1943 penny's and there the steel version that's not worth much unless it's in good condition so stop saying that😃 otherwise that good vid
And online prices are not always the true value there exaggerated you can see ebay listings on stars notes that are for a 100 dollars and then others for 6 dollars and at coin shops for cheaper sometimes and it always depends on condition or date

I took it to a coin expert and she said that if i got it verified from this government coin verification place via mailing it to them with all the paperwork and get it back in a case then the value would be from $300 (poor condition)-$20,000 (uncirculated/mint condition) or i could auction it and possibly get more money off of it.

No, you don't. Unless you show any proof or get it certified by a collector (there are waaay more fakes than real ones) you don't have one.
Lenamations , That is very true. Because there are many fake coins and replicas of a 1943 copper cent, a 1943 copper fake will stick to a magnet, or show signs of the date being altered ex: 1948 becomes a 1943.

Sadly star note are not rare I was disappointed when I found one the reliesing it's worth 5 bucks.
In 1955, my mother received a bunch of pocketbooks from her neighbors down the street. One of them jingled, so she tore the lining open and inside she says were 3 1943 bright new shiny copper (Bronze is the correct term nowadays) cents. She asked all around if they were worth anything, but most people in the mid 50s didnt know about the 43s. So after trying to see if they were worth anything, she game up, tossed in 2 more cents and bought a pack of GUM. UGGH. 3 MS65+ RED 1943 Bronze cents lost to time. For the record, the 1st reported 1943 bronze cent was 1958 to the ANA. Hence why noone really knew about the value of the ones my mom spent in 1955 :(

Not very valuable. It depends on condition which I'm guessing is pretty meh, so about 75 cents to a dollar if it's in ok or meh condition.
