It was nice to learn about the coins I have a few questions
    1. Have ever seen a 1992 steel penny?
    2. How rare is a 2008 Penny?
    3. Is a 1943 steel San Francisco penny worth anything ??

    • @kyleharrington1228
      @kyleharrington1228 2 года назад +2

      1. No. They simply don't exist
      2. Not rare at all. Hundreds of millions minted
      3. Worth about a dime in circulated condition.

My grandfather inspired me with his coin collections as a little girl in the 60's; Over the course of my lifetime, I've enjoyed learning more about collecting coins, what to look for and how to tell if they truly are valuable. I still enjoy this hobby in my fifty years. Who knows? I just may have a few very rare coins lying around! Thank you for inspiring me once again!

I have been collecting for 40 years. I started at age 10 with my grandmother. I kept a rolls of cents from each year. Excluding proof coins, I have one roll each of each mint starting in 1986. It's a really good idea for new collectors to start doing this, and after the years go by you can pick a rainy day and see what you've got. I also inherited my grandmother's coins. Multiple rolls of wheat cents and Indian cents. I did search those and was lucky to come up with a 1922 no mint mark Lincoln cent in very fine condition. I haven't had this slabbed ,yet but I plan on it. Happy Hunting!! Great content on this channel

My dad collected coins in the mid 1950s and used to search bags of pennies from his local rural bank back then. Most valuable penny he found at that time was a 1914D. Not in great but decent condition, and found at a time when there were certainly more in circulation than would be found now. He actually filled his collection up to the early 60s with every standard Lincoln cent except for the 1909VDBS and the 1931S. All found by searching bags of pennies. Back then it was also not uncommon to come across a few of the later indian pennies which he found also. Ah, the good ol' days!

The Flying Eagle (small) Cent described as an "1853" (#5, 09:41 of the video) was issued in 1856 (as shown in the images).
Pattern coins (trial strikes of proposed coinage designs) of cents had been made in variations of the Flying Eagle design in 1854 and 1855 as well, the design having its roots in the Christian Gobrecht Dollars that were minted from 1836 - 39 which are considered by many to be the most beautiful U.S. coin issued for circulation.
The 1856 FE Cent and 1864 Small Motto Two Cent are both truly pattern coins, but have long been included as part of the 'set' of the series they spawned. Pattern coins are a whole other fascinating world of United States coinage with many examples of astounding beauty, most struck in proof finishes and having been stored carefully over the years.

Found a 1941 no mint with extra words going backwards slanted on Lincolns profile !! You cant even notice this without loupe. Get them pennies out! Get a loupe...good luck!

      Hi Love and Light,
Thanks for watching. I’m glad you enjoyed the video. The best way to find out what the pennies are worth is through a coin catalogue. A simple google search of the penny, date, and mint mark will yield results of online catalogues that will be helpful. For auctioning less valuable coins I would recommend selling locally or using eBay. For more expensive coins I would recommend a large auction house like Heritage Auctions, although many high ticket items also regularly sell on eBay. I hope that helps. Please consider subscribing if you have not already. I look forward to hearing more from you.

Awesome video. Haven't found any of those yet. Found 1936 ddo-001, 002, and 003 in well circulated condition. Found in 1lb bags(about 150 wheats) I buy for $8-$12 deoending cause he has three different grades. I try and avoid the $8/lb bags which are just wheats brought in by customers and he fills a bucket with them. The $10/lb bags come from your standard bag o wheats that costs $225 for 5000 wheats. They are all right, but the "better wheats" $12/lb and $275 for 5000 are just what the name says, better. It's well worth the premium I believe.

A few years back I reached in my pocket to grab some change to give to a cashier and just happened to notice I was getting ready to hand her a rare indian head penny from the year 1900! I usually barely even look when handling change especially pennies but somehow, luckily this one caught my eye. Makes me wonder how many other rare coins have passed through my hands. Obviously I'm not the only one who doesn't really pay attention. I'm still baffled how a 1900 indian head penny ended up in my pocket and amazed that I actually noticed it! It's actually in pretty decent shape too!

@@spirituallyinspiredwriter YES! I agree whith you 100%! You read between the lines. When I wrote that I was kind of holding back on what that really meant to me. A YT channel about money didn't seem like the place to totally open up.... But now that you mention it, to me it was way deeper than just finding something that might have some material value. I saw it as a very direct confirmation from one of my spirit guides... An old and wise Native American Indian. I had just been going through some "stuff" and was really trying and wishing I could just have a real sit down talk with him. He doesn't say much but when he does it's always just a one liner (planted in my brain) that hit's me like a ton of bricks (clarity!) at just the right time when I need it most. I have zero doubt he was just telling me he's here and listening in a humorous sort of way.

We are in the Age of Aquarius and the songs lyrics are true to form. Seems you are awakening to your true being of light and I'm excited for you. And no, you're not going crazy. We are all born with it, some will never know they a spiritual being having a human experience. This quote I heard Roseanne say -"we are souls with bodies, not bodies with Souls" was one the beginning moments for me. Many will pass on without resonating with that, so they never cultivate it. You will be led to, or guided by angels, spirit guides, and their roles or who they are, are explained by many from experience. It took me a few years to 'weed out' the ones I knew were not on my path. I was led to astrology and numerology and found out who I really am, and I began meditating. Listened to Esther Hicks mostly, about the Laws of the Universe, mainly the Law of Attraction. Seeing any number sequences, repetitive signs or things that are so coincidental you find yourself saying whoa or ah cmon! lately? So much going on by so many things out brains just can't wrap around it. I have learned also that there ARE NO coincidences in this existence, only divine synchronicities.
You are not only a drop in the ocean, You Are the ocean in the drop.

Hello, the information you provided was really helpful. I was given lots of old coins left by my grandmother and i wanted to find out if any are worth something. I found an old indian head penny dated 1898, two dimes on dated 1908 and the other 1941. An Indian nickle from 1930 and an old coin that i don't recognize dated 1898 but it has a ladies head similar to the dime. It looks old and seems like it had stars around on the edge. I have other wheat pennies but none like the ones you just mentioned. I also have two silver dollars one dated 1921, the other is a nixon 1972, a gold dime, silver quarters from 1944. Would you be able to give me information on those coins or where could i find out to see if they are worth anything? Thank you, loved your video.

That is an awesome find! What kind of condition is it in? If the coin is in mint state or near mint condition it may be worth having the coin graded with either NGC or PCGS. From there we will be able to better access the value. The condition can really make the difference between a coin that is worth a few hundred dollars to one that is worth thousands. I'm a 71 yrs old man. When I was a young boy I would always keep coins that looked different than they should. Since I was about 10 yrs old, I have had a Bronze or Copper (I don't know which) 1943 Lincoln Penny. It didn't have much wear on it but it has very many marks on it. When I was about 15 or so, I got a loop lens and started looking at my collection of coins. Walking Liberty Half's and Liberty Silver Dollars are my favorites. Anyway, When I got the loop lens is when I realized that the Lincoln penny was a 1943! Unlucky for me ( I think) is all the marks on it from what I guessed to be from a grinder that it along with many others were put in to prepare them to be melted down and somehow it got thrown out on to the floor and a worker picked it up and put in his pocket, or it was in the road and got ran over be a vehicle. Its really a shame. I still have it and all my other coins and for the past month I have been looking them over and grading them according to the 2019 R.S. Yeoman Official Red Book. Getting them ready to sell since i'm nearing the end of my life. I'm having a delightful time looking at them again after so many years, even still I look at my change but don't get much now days I use my credit card for about everything LOL. Last week I ordered a digital microscope and started really seeing much more than with a loop lens! I've come across some coin errors that aren't in the book! So far I've looked at about 400 coins and have along ways to go. I didn't realize until this past week that I have thousands of coins! LOL! Some from my grandparents and parents. Well anyway, I enjoyed your video here and I wanted to share with you about my 1943 penny.

When I was young about 20 years ago my dad and I used to go through his coin collection and he taught me a lot. We had coins from the early 1800's on. He passed in 2004 and I was always told by his wife that she would hold on to them until I was old enough. I'm 29 now and every time I bring them up there is always some excuse like she has them in a safe spot over at her friends house or something. I loved looking at those coins with my dad and spending time with him, I wonder if I will ever see them again. If you ever need to get rid of some old coins that may not be worth much but in the hands of someone who will appreciate them I would love to appreciate them.

I have two 1937 Penny's: one has a "D" stamped under the date, the other does not. What is the best method of determining the true value of these coins?

I thought it was about the material that makes the coins eg bronze, copper etc until i realised its about features. I have Elizabeth II Penny 2012 and 1987...one penny, 2&20 pence.

An interesting feature of some British coins is the 'privy mark'. Some issues will be worth far more with certain privy marks than without.

I was looking through my 1 cent coins and I found a bunch of 1982 D close AM cents. These penny's were made from 82 till 2000 but only the 1982 D is worth a bundle.
