I’ve been collecting two dollar bills for my daughter for her little money collection I have going for for six years I never knew this I collect gold dollars Half dollars and two dollar bills I’ve never check none of them so glad I stumbled upon your video
Most people don't know that back in the day they used to take and rip the corner of the two-dollar bill for good luck a lot of people think it's damaged but it was done on purpose
A couple other factors that might have played some role in the value of these bills: #8 is a lucky number in Chinese culture, so a bill with that serial number may have greater value to an ethnic Chinese collector. 1976 was the bicentennial and $2 notes got some extra attention that year because of course they feature the author of the Declaration of Independence.
When creating the plates for the new $2 bill in 1976, the lithographer, while reproducing the painting of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, accidentally carved too deep or too shallow in a few places, allowing excessive dark green ink on the faces of a few of the 56 delegates. This started all sorts of rumors that the lithographer was trying to make the founding fathers look more ethnically diverse.
I enjoyed this video and a previous one Silver Picker! I value both your knowledge and enthusiasm. Keep doing you! Blessings and Best Wishes! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼❤️💐
My next door neighbor bragged that he had a genuine, valid "eight dollar bill." It turned out to be part of a sheet of four $2 bills from the Bureau of Engraving, that had not been cut apart.
Got an idea on how much a “series 2003 A” two dollar bill goes for? Doesnt have a special serial number but it does start with a 0. And it is series A.
Are the $2 1976 "Bicentennial Commerative Bill" issued on April 13, 1976 and in a sealed presentation case worth more than a mint condition uncirculated $2 bill from 1976? Thanks
I have one of those red-note 2 dollars bill dated 1928. I had it for over 30 years. I like to know how much I can get for it.. It is in good condition.
After my dad passed away I found a bunch of his old coins and paper money. It was mostly old silver dollars, mercury head dimes and lots of half dollar coins but there were $2 bills with the red stamps and some with blue stamps. What does the blue stamp mean?
I have a 1957 penny with two small round indents smashing the 19 and the “be” in liberty on the face of the coin. They don’t make holes but the other side of the coin in those spots are pushed out. How can I tell if this is a mint error. I believe RUclips doesn’t allow me to include a photo.
In 1976, I went to the bank and got 2, $2 bills on the day they were issued and took them to the post office and had them postmarked to verify the day of issue. Are they worth anything.
My grandmother did the same thing she bought three of the first 40 that were ever made still in the envelope I have one of my sister has one my brother has one I passed mine on to my daughter who is now 20 years old
You left out a very important detail regarding the 2003 $2 #1*. It was from the BEP Federal Reserve Premium Set that was broken up...meaning the 12 notes were split up and sold separately. Same thing happen with the $10 #99999999 sets later on and many other choice ones. Your viewers are NOT going to find a $2 #1 star note in circulation and probably not any #1 star notes, though it could theoretically happen. Even regular #1s are quite rare to find in circulation
They are dollar bills that back in the day could be traded in for silver dollar coins. If they have a fancy serial number they can be worth a lot, but circulated $1 silver certs are worth about $1.50-$3
Question is. Sir I mean What is the Means of Serial number ? because We Hve A Complete Bundal of tow dollars Note ??? So Please sir🙏 can you explain as what is The mean Of see serial Number ??? Thank u sir. good afternoon...
Hi. I have 3 blue seal 2$ bills . There in exltcelant condition. How much would you say are worth?. A family member has them there for I can't tell you the date. Around 1978. God Bless You and Stay Safe. Thanks for your Vedios
Your bills are pre 1978 if they are blue seal. Uncirculated I would say about $5 each... and I mean Uncirculated like no folds etc. If they are in numeral order then triple their value as long as they stay together and you get them graded. Just my 2 cents
At the bank recently I asked the teller if the had anything odd in her cash drawer, $2 bills , dollar coins etc... She checked with another teller and brought back 50 $2 bills, I took them. A few small dollar coins and some half dollars which I didnt care about until I noticed one was a '64. I once found a dollar bill all 6's but final digit was a 7, missed it by one. Well worn but got $5 for it.
Wanted to know if you can help me out by giving me some information of a couple of 1 dollar bill, I have a few with the same serial number, meaning in sequence a total of 3 bills only the last number to the right changes
How can I send you a picture of my bills. I got 2 /5$ bills ,one red an one blue, years 29 and 34, also a 1953 red seal 2$. All in normal ware condition. Thanks.

Great video, In 1976 I walked into a bank and got 5 two dollar bills with the thought of giving some to my infant niece when she graduated high school or college. I put them inside a calendar to keep them in mint condition and forgot about it. Well, I just found them again a few months ago. they are still in the calendar. My question is there any value in a consecutive sequence of numbers? I have 3 of the five in sequential order and the other two are also sequential but not a complete run. he three bills Start with 111 and the other two start with 00. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
Eh sorry to say that it is impossible to find fancy serial #'s that are solids or low serials unless you know someone from the printing press because the printers keep those and give it to their contacts. How do I know? Because I knew someone who had a lot for sale from Germany.and whom I tried to buy some. I asked him how he had so many and he told me that he had contract from the printing press.
I think it would be a great idea if they came up with an app that could be for bills it could be for stamps or coins, an app so you can scan the bill the stamp or the coin and it will verify kind of like Google lens on what you have specifically. Does anybody know if there are apps out there like that? Thank you, also thank you for your video it was very informative I'm trying to show my granddaughter who is 12 years old some things she can look out for
When you are strap searching, do you want circulated or uncirculated? Obviously you have better condition with one, but is the other more likely to have rare ones?

I had a couple of bicentennial $2 bills one of which had an ink stamp and an actual Mail stamp on it that I have to my niece.

The consecutive bills are not particularly rare unless they are also fancy serial numbers
Are the starred bill valuable?
but the 2003 $2.00 bill was an oddity...look at it ...was a star note which means there was an error on printing.
How does one go about selling such a bill?
