We're back for a track guide for the new season in iRacing in the Formula Vee at Rudskogen Motorsenter for another lap guide.
Each week I shall be producing a track guide for beginners and intermediate drivers to help them improve their times, be it in the first iRacing race or even if they've been racing for years.

Keep these videos coming Sambo, they're hugely useful for us all! Not even a month ago, before stumbling on your content, I couldn't find any enjoyment in the formula Vee and was just a constant backmarker. Fast forward to yesterday night where I somehow managed to qualify 2nd in a session behind you, purely thanks to your track guide! Determined to just slipstream behind you to compensate for my slower pace... I promptly spun like an idiot at turn 7 being too fixated on trying to imitate your braking points :D. All in all, your video series really made me realize how much the formula Vee teaches close racing and car control in tight spots, and I've improved everywhere else because of it, so thanks again!
Mate that’s epic! Well done. Glad you find the videos useful and look forward to racing with you again.
Someone posted your link on Reddit which got me here. YT throwing they should have been throwing your videos in my face. Great vid mate.
That’s lovely of you say mate, thanks for the feedback. I hope they can be of use for you going forward.
Thanks for doing these videos. I’ve been on IRacing about 2 months and am still learning. Since finding your videos I’ve got pole 6 times in 9 races in my split. My race craft however is now significantly lagging behind my ability to hit pole!
Haha that’ll come. Great work on finding the speed to keep hitting pole though. It’ll all slot into place.
I'm, as of this moment, sitting at 140th in the championship thanks to your track guides and plenty of practice.
Me and my dusty G25 are back to simracing after 14 years and your track guides have brought me up to a decent "just 1 second off" shape in no time. Great format, keep up the good work!
That’s awesome to hear buddy and thanks for the feedback 😎
Oh man when I saw this video I really wished it was of the old Rudskogen. I used to do roadracing on it in my youth together with the family. It was super cool on 2 wheels! Can't wait to test this out in game tonight!
Awesome stuff Sam. Scored a win last weekend at Charlotte (it was 7th ot 8th split), largely thanks to your calm and sensible tips - both the track-by-track and the racecraft vid. If you're feeling game (another Wk13 project?), I reckon a vid that has some tips for moving from FVee to FF1600 up to say, F4 and how to approach them given the differences in handling would be greatly appreciated. E.g. I actually found the FVee 'stuck' better at Charlottle and the loose under-and-over in the FF1600 much gnarlier to wrangle. Anyway, please keep the series coming.
Thanks for the feedback buddy.
Love these videos and season update
Thanks matey. Really appreciate that.
Since this week at Charlotte has been way better than I expected (mostly thanks to your guide), I'll try again: God I hate this track... 😂
Thanks so much hating those first few corners, trying to make it out of Rookies
Glad to help and don’t worry, next week at Summit is a lot easier matey.
Will be the first return to a track, interested to see what the progress (if any 🤣) since last time..
Great video has always. Sr. Would you please share your break bias settings?
Four clicks to the rear bud.
@@Sambo_iRacing Thank you.
Righto! Tough track but really fun with the elevation changes. I've done a 38.2 with a 37.8 optimal. I think I'll be able to get a high 37 once I get everything down. I have time up my sleeve if I can nail your line through 12 :)
I’m gonna have to stop these guides. You guys are getting far too fast.
haha @@Sambo_iRacing. If you were to look at it another way, you're giving more of us a chance to beat your rivals too
Where can I find the apps you are using, like that throttle/brake graph on the bottom left corner?
Racelabs matey
@@Sambo_iRacing Thank you very much!
@@ThinkingPear410no problem at all. I’ve just asked them if I can get a discount code for my subscribers.
