    I'll always swear by Suellio's coaching. After only a couple of weeks, from his RUclips playlist on racing techniques alone, I've gone from a clueless rookie to finding time on my own, on any track. I never would have expected to understand as much as I do in such a short time. It's removed so much frustration for me getting started and I feel like the baseline this has given me is invaluable. Great work Suellio! All the best to you in your career, looking forward to all of your future content!

I never was interested in Motorsport never cared for it. I started sim racing two years ago on a youtube algorithm and saw guys like Dave Cam and Boosted Media and thought it looked fun Started with a logitech G923 clamped to a desk. Now I have a DD wheelbase with LC pedals all Simagic BTW and a full-blown Cockpit and even started my own youtube Channel for Simracing. small little plug there lol. I was looking into what wheel I should buy to start having fun and improving behind a real wheel too, and I was starting to think if it's not DD with 10+Nm of torque it wasn't worth it.

    Thanks! I think it might be a bit more helpful to organize the content in the RUclips channel by using chapter markers in your videos and leveraging the use of playlists in RUclips. I sort of feel that the same content in the YT channel has been repeated a few times now. It feels I've watched the "induce oversteer to find maximum speed in the corner" like 4+ times. I purchased all of your courses but nowadays I just stick with the courses instead of the YT videos because it takes 3x longer to get the same info on YT than on the courses. Thanks again.

    • @SuellioAlmeida
      @SuellioAlmeida  4 месяца назад +9

      The organization of the content is what's new in this video. Inducing understeer and oversteer is cool, but when exactly should you do it?
      Motorsports is complex and has many dimensions.
      I understand this, though. If I want to grow on RUclips I can't have such organized content like you recommended; this is for paid content.
      I have to unfortunately follow the rules of the Algorithm to get views and every video has to have some context that is useful for new viewers, hence why you feel the content is repetitive for you.

    • @theKashConnoisseur

    I am a little confused, no mention of trail braking which you hear about on everyone else’s video. The only big takeaway I think I got from this was you want to be fully decelerated at start of the turn so your speed is the same going thru the corner and then use acceleration to increase the turn if you can? Ughhhhh more confused now, I guess this is above my level!

  • @peterleblanc661
    @peterleblanc661 4 месяца назад

    Fantastic information as usual. One factor I see lots of sim racers not consider when looking at what gear to get is: What is your goal? Are you trying to win at sim racing? Are you trying to be faster in your real car? Are you trying to experience what it's like to drive a certain car/track/race? A bit of all three? Depending on your goals the targets for gear will be slightly different. Key example here would be the shifter you use. Paddles will probably always be faster, but is that what the car you are running in the sim uses? What if your track car has a stick shift with clutch? I learned how to be very comfortable threshold braking while double clutching all my downshifts in my real car by practicing on the sim. It was harder to be fast on the sim but big benefit on the real track. There's not a right answer to this question. It depends on individual goals.

    @nclabs5957 4 месяца назад

    Hi mate, I always agree on what you have to say but on VR I'm not agreeing at all, this time. I feel the negative you talked about are quite the opposite. Once you get used to it's hard to go back to monitors, and sure, the comfort and the image quality is not the same of a monitor, but you get so much more, even regarding the driving itself. You are way way more aware of spaces, of speeds, you can use the stereoscopic view to judge braking on the spot, you can simply feel the movement in such a natural way that monitors feels stupid after getting used to VR. And the more you use VR the more the issues it has worth less and less. We already have headset like the Bigscreen which is super small and have great screens to solve sweatiness and picture quality. Sure, monitor is much easier to operate, but in that case you have to get a degree in optics just to be able to understand how to set FOV (which is never right, really).

      Literally nothing he said about vr was false... yes, you do get sweaty, yes, it is lower quality, yes, it does hide your face when streaming, yes, you do get more tired or uncomfortable after hours and hours of use. Which thing did he say that was false or the opposite? Every single pro sim racer agrees that vr is more fun, but is not as good for competition. It is an indisputable fact.

    I usually brake to late, crash, brake to late crash, brake to late, barely hold on, brake around the breaking point, make it through, get used to it.

    The "find someone faster and use it as your carrot stick" is a great way to improve indeed, as well as getting tips and tricks from better drivers.
    I've been chasing after some people for the better part of the past two years, and went from snail pace to tokyo drift on assetto corsa.

    Consegui fazer um tempo top 30 no automobilista 2 de controle com 2 semanas de jogo, somente vendo seus videos. Imagine com o curso e um volante😳😳😳😳😳

    This is all complexe, best advice is always look to the corners way ahead from far, dont look in front of your nose

    My biggest problem is consistency. I'll run a lap or 2 hitting every corner perfect in iracing. I'll feel the grip limit on the perfect entry and exit....but then the next lap I'll screw up and go off track 3 times. I end races with a LOT of off tracks, not from going completely off track but with more than half my car going off and the other 2 tires staying on. I just cannot for the life of me seem to both drive hard and stay on track the entire race. It's maddening. Especially because I understand weight transfer and grip.

    Muito bom ver um Brasileiro com tanto sucesso tanto nos simuladores quanto na vida real. Quando vi suas vitórias, principalmente na chuva, nossa, eu quase surtei! Você foi simplesmente perfeito!
    Cara, sou muito fã seu!
    Sobre esse video, vou ver com tempo, mas meu jogo atual é GT7, infelizmente pra mim é impossível investir no Iracing, tanto pelo custo quanto pelo tempo. Se um dia estiver entediado, testa o GT7 depois da atualização que virá dia 25 desse mês e nos diga o que pensa do game. Um abraço!
