I'm proud to be a 40yo white guy born and raised in Atlanta. I've met Mike 3x and he always made time to talk a minute and is a great guy with big warm personality. I can't wait until he's our mayor or governor.
RTJ4 Album of the year?? 🔥🔥
Obviously
EASILY! 👌🏼💯
I come from the future and yes, yes it is
El-p is among the best rapper/producers in hip hop history!
“I’ve never felt it was appropriate to fly the flag of the losers” this is why Killer Mike is the best to ever do it
"We (hiphop) are still so young, we are just building our nostalgia era"
Crazy how true this is
El-P is TOO Underrated and unappreciated by NYC(radio).Smh . This interview was aight tho
People forget EL-P did patriotism.. He been on this type of time!! RTJ.
LoFiAkaI23 Props just revisited the other day. More relevant than ever!
RTJ IS THE DEFINITION OF HARD WORK PAYING OFF...NEVER STOP.🙏🏻✌🏻❤🌎
One time for the freedom of speech, two times for the right to hold heat... I sit with a book and a gun, a ballot or bullet you better choose one. - Killer Mike
Killer Mike is right about the 13th Amendment. The system has taken advantage of that prisoner loophole for generations. And now, with for-profit prisons being a thing, there is more motivation to keep people behind bars than ever. Prisons should be about rehabilitation, not free labor.
Celebrate the freedom to peacefully protest and fight for change. Social justice and equality for all 🙌💯
One fo the best interviews of 2020! Filled with so much information while still being "cool", fun-loving, & entertaining.
Guys I am sad I didn’t catch this pre the 4th because I have been at odds with this celebration and how to get a message out to those around me about things to think about beyond the flag waving and overt nationalism of the 4th and trying to help them know why blind nationalism is problematic and the importance of educating yourself about the untaught and glossed over history of the Americans betrayed during and after our nation’s fight for independence.
You put it so well, we all want to be able to celebrate but there is work to do before that can happen. Mike you previously showed me the Blue Eye, Brown Eye experiment and now have given me yet another great resource in the Douglas speech.
Now all I need is to figure out how get that Out of Sight beat as my ringtone...
Most well-spoken and intelligent men in rap today
Shoutouts to Soundbombing II and Rawkus. First time I heard El
RTJ brought rap back for me. I grew up on 80s hip hop /through the 2000s but kinda lost interest in music as I was kinda lost myself. RTJ has completely restored my love for rap and music in general. 👉🏽 🤛🏽
The nine club and run the jewels got me through the quarantine
RTJ literally got me thru quarantine. Killer Mike for president 🇺🇸...and Ebro for my baby daddy 😍
An interview of integrity Thankyou RTJ Thankyou Hot97 💜
I loved this discussion so much
I got that sweater El-P's wearing! Picked it up when I saw them in Vegas.
I wear it every time I go to the airport for maximum eyeballs.
It's always awesome to see a stranger look over and throw up the pistol & fist.
...and got a RTJ4 shirt in the mail!
I was waiting for this interview
Love el p and killer Mike...🤘🤘
I perceive “Kill Your Masters” kinda like -if you see the Buddha on the street what do you do?
You kill him.
Which means, you kill the idea of “master”. And to me that means Don’t not hold onto the construct and idea of ‘master’ on to that idea as something you need. In order to do this, you must recognize who are the ‘masters’.
RTJ forever yall!!! The spirit that these 2 exude onto our atmosphere is immortal. Just like when pac said he would spark that brain, I have no doubt that RTJ has planted that same seed in this new generation. One day in the future we'll see the children of today continue in their lineage and that to me is nothing short of fate and frankly just pure beauty. May that spirit live on 👉🤛
this is great 👍
Great interview 👍

Run the Jewels. Run the world!!!!
It's nice that Mike's daughter likes certain 90s female rappers over today's female rappers. That says quite a bit.
I’m 60 years old ...and still doing it. eDK nodrecords
Preach!
I’ve been a fan of y’alls music for so long. It was the right time to drop the album early and have pay what you can download available for everyone.
After I listed to the record, I told all my protest groups to blast this album, it’s beyond relevant. Thank you.
Sincerely, The Proletariat ❤️ 🌹

Def Jux changed my life
Rawkus and Def Jux were both amazing.
@@ilovemikerogers, bro...same!!!
El Producto just explained what it is about July 4th that has made me cringe every year since 1990 when I left the “safety” of the indoctrinated white suburban world, started college, and started to trust what I saw and experienced in the bigger metropolitan areas of California while also listening to some great professors across several different higher education institutions. We are just not there yet to celebrate the 4th for what it has been presented as. I don’t even see it as a goal in terms of changing the holiday - but it is a goal in terms of how ElP explains it.
Love LP but he’s definitely long winded.
LMAO EL P not fuckin w these corny radio guys
I love Killer Mike but I'm not sure about the whole segregate the schools till there 13 thing, that would mean my kids would go to a white only school and that sounds whack
It’s a double edged sword. I like the fact that the majority race in this country went to school with minorities at a young age. The reason a lot of white people are ignorant is because they hardly ever are around anyone that isn’t white.
Does Rosenberg still live with his mom/grandma? And if not why does he have a piano in his living room? 🤔
Maybe cus somebody in the house play piano 🤯
Hahaha 😂😂🤣, you just made my day.
I have a dream ! TIME MAGAZINE Quote: in Georgia and Alabama, where King lived, the Democratic party was “staunchly segregationist” and few African Americans would have registered as Democrats, even as the party was changing when it came to federal politics. In the South, of the two, the Republican Party “was the least hostile” to them, Carson says. Martin Luther King jr thought to be highly likely a republican ... relatives to him agree
Drew Down en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civil_Rights_Act_of_1964
Drew Down doesn’t sound like many democrats were for the bill ... had to pass through the republicans as well ... seems like a lot of democrats opposed this bill and movement
Drew Down maybe you need to find out how a bill is passed - kindergarten my dear
I feel bad for El-P,its only a matter of time, before he becomes the next dj jazzy jeff. Killer Mike (as good a rapper as he is)is meant to lead a nation ,his political voice is to strong to inspiring .The world needs heroes and leaders like Killer Mike,Nina Turner and Cornel West. But of course EL-p has too much talent to not be successful on his own for a while.
Lol El p has been a legend for ages and will continue to be.
Wtf are you even talking about!? The next Jazzy Jeff!? This is easily the dumbest comment on this video, well done...
🤢🤮
It's very fulfilling to be in a country that gives you the freedoms to express yourself. Unfortunately, RTJ doesn't see this. Too bad.... I still will appreciate their musical talent and creativity.
What could possibly give you the impression that they don't appreciate that?
@@ChrisCypher all of the negative talk about the country that we all live in.
No more creepy than Martin Luther King Jr ... we do not honor these men for being slave owners no more than we honor Martin Luther King who was well known for his engagement of orgies with prostitutes (prostitution is a hidden form of slavery ) ... also engaged in witnessing a rape and did nothing ... yep ... Martin Luther King was a MAN ... no different than George Washington .. subject to the weakness of the flesh ... but we don’t honor these men for their wrong doings .. but for their footprints ... the good they did for America and people . Did you know the black man who played uncle refus in song of south was FIRST black man to receive Oscar ... Hattie McDaniel first black woman to revive Oscar for gone with the wind ... stepping stones ... wiped away due to anger hatred malice ... sad .... William Ellison a black confederate had more than 60 black slaves ... his statue stands today ... people claim that’s because he had slaves to keep up with the competition ... DUH .. why do you think anyone had slaves ... cheap labor ... not because they relished in whipping and beating blacks ... there will be none stand on that day that are worthy
