I am a recovering addict. September 27th was 10 years clean and sober. I feel the pain of ALL the addicts and the bottom of the barrel and there’s no lower!! I am just glad I had a child and a baby daddy who cared enough to get me and convince me I am worth something and I am someone who is loved and cared about… I am sending my love higs and well being vibes to them all!!

For those of you criticizing this woman, and focusing more on the riches she was claiming are really not listening to this woman’s heart wrenching story. Let’s remain focused on the courage and strength she has and the point of her story: to stay away from drugs. You guys are getting wrapped up in the extra . Lying or not (which I don’t think she is lying about anything) this woman has been through it, the least you could do is let her speak, be less critical and carry on either your day! I don’t understand the need to comment negatively, when she has already been through so much negativity. Wish her the best and carry on!!

Oh well, I hate to tell you, but hospice counts every single drug, and the minute people die. They destroy those drugs in coffee grounds. Most likely, she was doing it for place to stay and inheritance
But hey, what are you? You must feel better that you're dropping the dime on a complete stranger on RUclips that, literally dropped the dime on herself through her story.

    • @leneo1731

I didn't even think about that.
However what I saw during this interview is a person who knowns how to talk. She knows what people want to hear.
She's saying all the right things yet she's doing the same mistakes over and over again.
She comes across as manipulative, a bit better than others and a victim.
Even though she's saying she's the one responsible for her actions she puts the blame on the men in her life, her mother and so on.
      Also, she's very guarded.
She didn't really say anything about herself behind her walls.

@@southphillylilly Were all of the people she looked after in hospice?
Didn't she look after someone in their house, also?
Anyways, I don't understand why you're critical of the OP because you also say she looked after those people for a place to stay and inheritance.
What's the difference between what she said and what you said?
Both of your statements are about her doing this out of egoistical reasons and not out of a good heart.
      Right?

    • @leneo1731
      @leneo1731 Месяц назад +12

@@southphillylilly Also, when people go on here being interviewed, should it not be allowed to comment on these people?
Must all comments just be roses and rainbows?
Reality is that many of these people have done horrible things!
You'll probably argue that she knows that better than anyone else.
      Yes, so she says.
      However, her actions show different.
If she was clean for THIRTEEN years and still chose to use again, even with all the knowledge and self insight she claims to have - I'm sorry but then we're allowed to say something about it.

Sometimes, NA is the worst - a place where addicts find other addicts to use with, or to just use. There absolutely are some NA members who do well and stay clean and help others, but for the most part, a room full of addicts at many different levels of recovery is a dangerous thing especially for someone new to recovery.
AA is a better environment, but many AA members sadly do not tolerate drug addicts.
I went to AA as an addict but did not tell a soul i was there to stay clean from drugs. Oddly enough, alchohol was not a problem for me.
But AA helped me immensely with my drug addiction problems.

I really can't tell if there's a lot of fiction in this story or not because I see her pain, and it looks genuine to me. It is palpable. And it sounds true that her parents had addictions. And that because of their addictions, she was guided by nothing really. If it weren't for a caring, parental adult in my childhood, I would have wilted and who knows how far down I'd have sunk. We are not all created strong. I wish we all had at least one caring, dignified, decent adult to raise us. I'm sure, she didn't. So I can understand the outcome.

Two hundred francs for sanctuary and she led me by the hand

Other people have commented that her narrative seems ‘rehearsed’ & ‘fabricated,’ - & maybe it is - but I feel that at least most of this is genuine.
In any event, I hope she rediscovers the positive momentum she had at the end of her prison sentence & finds a job in the animal care industry- mutual benefits for animals & for her. She deserves a better life.
    Wishing her all the best.

Forgiveness is not a prerequisite for personal growth in this manner nor is it a requirement for you to step in the right direction for your own peace. Recognition however is. Understanding your victimization is. Do not mistake forgiveness for progress. You can evolve and leave those who hurt you behind you without lending them your forgiveness and your heart. Don’t set their minds at ease with your magnanimous nature. Let them fight their battle like you fought yours. Don’t seek revenge but don’t seek to heal them. Heal yourself.

I'm a type 1 diabetic who has to take shots every single day its different though when you have the needle going through your vein it does trigger something that could make you vulnerable and make you want to use the needle again
