Great video series. Helps a lot. Better then reading the pdf as that is confusing and the physical examples of your doing makes a lot more clearer

Omg this helped me and my friend so much out right now
We thought only the player who's turn it is can make attacks in the fight phase

I fairly certain friendly models can only move through each other in during a normal Move, Advance or Fallback. They don't have that option during a Charge move unless they also have the Fly keyword. So the order you move your models is important there.

Great vid guys! Really appreciate the effort and concise breakdown, got a couple questions about fight order though:
    1. Say player A charged player B and performs his rolls, if player B survives the charge do they get to swing back that same (player A's) turn?
    2. Because the "inactive unit fights first" - does that mean that in player B's turn, directly after player A's charge, that player A gets to fight first again in that engagement because he now has the "inactive unit"? Or does "inactive unit" simply mean that unit has swung and has yet to be swung back at?
Really appreciate the time you guys take to answer questions! I know they're probably silly and obvious but thought it best to double check before accidentally cheating :D

Thanks for the video helped a bit but i still have questions. Is there "slap back" had the squad survived the gene stealer assult? And how does multiple squads work charging into one epic hero? Does the epic hero get "slap back" for each unit that attacked it?

You didn't touch on "normal" combat. Only Fight First. Question. In normal combat, does both sides strike before taking out casualties or does the one player who attacks "first" in normal combat kill some models that then can't fight back afterwards? Hope this makes sense.

Super helpful video. Thanks so much. EZ subscribe.
Do have a quick question, if you see this comment. Was in match with my Space Wolves vs Necrons. I chagred a Doomsday Arc with Murderfang and killed it. The Necron player had 2 Destroyers in a building next to the Arc. I thouht I could consolidate since I was within 3" of them but they were in the second floor with windows. But it was only 4" veritcally. So I believed I was going to be within engagement range, since it says 5" veritcally.
However the Necron player stated this could not be done, as I could not end within base to base when consoladating. We played on with that rulling; but wanted to ask if my intial thought was correct, and I could've gotten within engagement range?

If i have a redemptor dread in fight phase against 5 terminators will all 5 of my attacks attack just one terminator say i roll 5 hits and wounds the terminator squad fails 4 so only one terminator dies leaving one wound out there will the wound carry over to the rest of the terminators? Or is the wound wasted, also can i decide to roll my attacks one at a time and put one of each of my attacks on one terminator at a time.
    Thx

No ist how many dice you have lets say you wounded 5 Times as you said then only 5 Modells could die,
But mortal wounds carry over so its important that mortal wounds are added at the end after the normal Attacks

One question I'm not sure on, when in the fights normal phase, do units get to fight in melee simultaneously? So if a unit fights and kills a bunch of models, do those models get to fight before being removed?

Glad it's helped! Models within a unit fight simultaneously, but you alternate picking with your opponent. So you need to choose wisely. Some units have a special rule that incures a "fight on death" mechanic. But that's a separate situation

Man I struggle with turn order.
Let's say you fight first and don't wipe them, do they fight back right away? So do you return fighting automatically or does that unit have to be chosen to fight?
For eg let's say you hit my unit in combat a.
Do I attack right back, then pick combat b to fight. Or. Can I pick combat b, and I have to select combat a unit to fight back, if that makes sense??

every single fight phase both players fight. Defending player (non active player) that turn fights before the attacking player (active turn). However, charging gives the attacking player's units the Fight's First ability. only if the defender's units have the special ability Fight's First (look up von ryan's leapers) OR you use the core strategem to provide fights first; then the charging units will fight. Therefore, even though im the attacking player, if I have units that are already in melee from previous turns, then they will fight AFTER the defending player
