Karate kid 2 is where youll get your questions answered, great sequel
It was edited out in the first film, but thank God it put into the 2nd film. Very important point.
Took my daughter YEARS to get me to watch Cobra Kai cuz I thought it'd be just a dumb money grab. I was DEAD WRONG. My all-time favorite show now. Daniel and Johnny aged like fine wine, and Johnny is f'n HILARIOUS. You won't regret it, sir. Guaranteed to bring a whole new group of subscribers aged 8 to 80.
You know what's hilarious? The Cobra Kai show idea started after a RUclipsr made a video saying Daniel was the real bully.
ruclips.net/video/C_Gz_iTuRMM/видео.html
I love the show to. Only thing I don't like is that Danny and Johnny never really talked out. Whenever there was a dispute, they threw punches, then went seperate ways. And every single dispute was just dumb misunderstandings LOL
But the show is awesome. Love how they managed to bring in all the characters :D
@@jimmyhyun8546 Yes and no. It all started with Johnny being an asshole, but Danny just had to keep it going.
If Danny had let i go at the start, we wouldn't have Karate Kid :P
Yeah totally after you finish the movies watch Cobra Kai but see the movies FIRST. Too many appearances from characters from the movies. If you don't watch the movies you won't fully appreciate the series. Finish theo ies then watch the series.
Not only did he teach muscle memory with the work, but he also built muscle for those specific moves by doing the work.
And he got his cars waxed, his house painted etc. Mr. Miyagi was a multitasker extraordinaire😂
What you missed was his pregnant wife died because she was in an internment camp with no doctor, the only crime she or any of them were in there for was having japanese blood. Born American or not it didn't matter, they were all locked up no matter what. My town had a huge Japantown, they were all shipped off to camps in the desert. They came back their property all sold off, even though many of the men were fighting in the war.
@Mr.Schitzengigglez WTF are you talking about. The letter Daniel read clearly stated that his wife & child died at the manzanar relocation center. That was one of the biggest camps they built to send Japanese Americans to live throughout the war. It's a national historic site. Miyagi said "first American Miyagi waiting to be born". Miyagi also stated "no doctor in camp". The manzanar relocation camp national historic site is off hwy 395 in in the easter Sierras in the Mojave desert. I've been there. If you don't know what you are talking about STFU.
@Mr.Schitzengigglez If you missed that that Miyagis wife was in the manzanar relocation camp & that they died because there was no doctor in the camp & have no idea what the Manzanar or the other relocation camps were, you missed the whole point of the movie. Also I recommend the book "Farwell to Manzanar".
@@sonnystaton I'm aware of the camps.
Wasn't part of the story though.
@Mr.Schitzengigglez Not only was it part of the film, it was THE most important part. Daniel right here reads ALLOWED "we regret to inform you on November 2nd 1944 at the Manzanar relocation center your wife & newborn son died from complications arising from childbirth" Miyagi was also heard screaming "No doctor in camp". Maybe English is not your 1st language, but you clearly missed the entire point of the movie.
ruclips.net/video/upvNcf2Vb-w/видео.htmlsi=M5RDoWsjAEatGwuk
Agreed. It was the whole point of the film. Resentment breeds hate.
However you need to remember the Japanese pulled a sneek and bombed the shit out of Pearl Harbour when the Americans thought they were all good. That could not stand.
The Japanese internment camps in hindsight seems a disgraceful act but at the time it's what needed to be done.
Go down the rabbit hole G, you won't regret it! Can't wait for you to do part 2, you will ❤ it. I guarantee 💯
I just might have too for real!!
@DevinGtv901 I don't know if you're too young yet, but there is a different rabbit hole out there. When I mean you're too young, it don't mean your age. Something I can not explain to you through here. If you're fully interested/ invested I can explain .Mr. Miyagi is an INFJ. I am 98.9% sure, you are an ESTP. Just let me know when you're ready to wake up.
In his box was a Medal of Honor as well. A lot of people miss that
Watch part two, it picks up where this one leaves off. All I’ll mention.
Good reaction. Still a great movie all these years later.
Golf n' Stuff, the one in this movie, actually exists and is still in operation. It is located in Norwalk, CA. Unfortunately, the water slide is not longer in operation, but according to their website, the go carts, mini golf, bumper boats and arcade are still in use.
The Cobra Kai return to Golf N Stuff is legendary
@@notanyonespecificthink there's one in Georgia they went to. I'll have to look that up again
Ralph owns the yellow car from the first movie he was given it while filming the 3rd
*If You enjoyed my reaction please leave a Like. That really helps out the channel*
Really hope you go through and do the full franchise👍 Then you can watch the new "Kobra Kai" TV Show😉
The Newest movie {Jackie Chan} is best watched with other Jackie Chan movies like "Drunken Master", "Rumble in the Bronx" ect.
P.s. "drinking beer and riding motorcyles seems kinda dangerous"😂It was the 80's, Would love to get your take on "Bad news bears" from the 70's 😁
Not just a “like” for the algorithm … a “comment” for it as well!
It’s a great way to mark vids you’ve already seen. No clue why more people don’t 👍🏻.
Just did, plus subscription. Keep it it going
Great reaction! 😊
RIP always to Pat Morita(Mr. Miyagi)!!!
I grew up with this one in the 80s. And I still love it to this day. Plus, this movie is one of my all-time favorite soundtracks.
Fun Fact: Ralph Macchio(Daniel) got to keep the yellow car from this movie. And he still has it.
You 100% definitely need to watch the remaining Karate Kid movies along with the Netflix follow-up series Cobra Kai. Both sequel movies(The Karate Kid Part 2 & 3)are an absolute must watch before starting on Cobra Kai. And The Next Karate Kid is also a must watch.
Looking forward to your next reaction. 😊
That yellow car is a beauty!! I just might have to watch the series
@@DevinGtv901Hey big dawg there is four of these movies and the remake of the first one but Daniel is not in the fourth one the girl that plays in the movie Million Dollar Baby which is Hillary Duff is.Pat Morita acted and talked nothing like this in real life and had a karate master as a body double who was Fumio Demura he is on RUclips.
@@DevinGtv901yes, you can. But, there’s going to be a last season this July and November in part 1 and 2 with part 3 next year.
Another thing that people don't realize is at the end when Daniel is lifted in the air - it's from the guys that he hung around with at the beach.
The guy he met his first day - if you go back and look at his shirt it's 2 piggys - doing it and it says makin bacon (my friend had the same shirt - her sister got it for her for her 16th birthday).
When you watch cobra kai there's a training session in a freezer and if you look at the boxes - it's his business.
So they kept in touch.
Then there's another training session where they're in a old warehouse and it says webber. That was supposed to be daniels last name in the movie but he told them that there's no way that it would be an Italians last name so they asked him what would he suggest. Ralph told him - more vowels. So they came up with larusso
Who is watching this thinking I cant wait for the cobra kai reactions lol
I don't know if you caught this or not but mr miyagi was also a medal of Honor recipient and the Japanese regiment of the United States army during world war II is the most highly decorated of all time with the most medal of Honor recipients in US history
There was a movie about that WWII regiment called Only The Brave, Pat Morita even showed up in a small role.
Yea I noticed that
Two is a must do. You get to learn all about Mr. Miage. My favorite of the series. ❤️ 😍
Is on the bucket list
I love that scene when Mr Myagi shows Daniel that all along he had be learning defensive and offensive moves he basically saying to Daniel that Karate is a lesson in life and things aren't always what they seem.
Your energy is appreciated kind sir. You have enough for the both of us!!
I'm glad you appreciate and enjoy the content
@@DevinGtv901The Cobra Kai teacher played by Martin Kove told Johnny to sweep the leg.Martin Kove was also in Rambo 2 and is in Cobra Kai the TV show. You should also watch The Boys the TV show also Warrior the TV show.
Can you believe this Movie was made 40 years ago...I remember 1984 like is was yesterday...The 80s was the best decade ever...for movies and music
I love the passion you always have on these movies. This one is a classic that has all the elements of a classic. Thanks for always bringing the heat. You’ll keep getting my views, thumbs up, and comments.
I always appreciate your support my friend 🙌🏾
Daniel says “I don’t like smog,” like there’s no smog in New Jersey.
‘68 Chevelle Malibu Station Wagon. I used to have one. It was NOT a stick shift lol. Wish I never sold it
Welcome to the Karate Kid Family once you have watched all the karate kid movies/ Cobra Kai is next in the franchises there are 4 karate kid movies then the remake
Are they all as good as this one?
@@DevinGtv901 In My opinion The Cobra Kai series is BETTER! You gotta check it out!
@@DevinGtv901you gotta get your black belt.
@@DevinGtv901 yes there amazing and if you want to watch the tv series Cobra Kai there a must watch season 6 is coming out soon I hope
@@DevinGtv901 Your mileage might vary on how good the sequels are, depending on your tastes. Personally, I like the second one a lot. It might be even better than the original. The third one? Not quite as much. The added antagonist is cartoonishly evil, which both adds and detracts from the movie. It adds entertainment value, but detracts from your ability to suspend disbelief. The fourth movie can be skipped entirely if you want. It has some good moments, but on the whole it's nowhere near as good as the previous three. The remake has nothing to do with the other four, so you can watch that at your leisure if you so choose. Once you've finished watching the main three movies, you MUST watch Cobra Kai. It's an incredible series. And not too time consuming either. Each season is only ten episodes long. Watch two at a time and you'll breeze through the seasons really quickly.
dude when you said there ain't no rules in fighting you rock it reminded me of that old joke when a guy asked another guy would you hit a guy with glasses and he says no I'd hit him with a brick
I never heard that one 😂😂😂
The fancy karate guy fighting Johnny - was mr miyagi stunt double. The ref in the red t-shirt with the mustache was the trainer for both cobra kai and Daniel even though they weren't allowed to show each other much until the tournament. He was also best friends with Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris.
I think the point to the work Daniel had to do was for a few reasons.... it's a workout so his muscles are being used, it requires discipline, it creates muscle memory, and it build callus around your body, making taking hits a little easier. Old boy came from a different era, they didn't do Karate school, they learned Karate and respected it.
Karate Kid 1 ... KK2... KK3... Cobra Kai... let's go!
What about KK4? 😂 😂
@@drew9738 🤣
@@djnkosi LOL
@@drew9738Daniel LaRusso wasn’t in the next karate kid.
KK4 doesn't exist, nor does the "reboot", first rule of fight club, don't talk about fight club
God i LOVE this movie. Im 44, and every time I see it, i watch it
The good thing about the car problem is that Ali saw both of them, saw the actual picture of the situation. I think it’s low-key funny the way Daniel gets out of the car.
There is a karate kid part 2 you definitely need to watch
You should check out the movie crossroads from 1986 starting Joe Secena and Ralph Machio. It’s about a young classical guitar student at Juilliard school of music. But his heart is in the Blues. He befriends an old man in a nursing home who he believes to Willie Brown harmonica player for the legendary Blues man Robert Johnson. The two set off on an adventure to the mysterious crossroads to get willie’s soul back from the devil. I think you’ll love it.
Yes ❤❤ I loved crossroads when it came out on VHS! Thanks for reminding me about it! Such an under rated gem 💎💎
the next movie begins moments after this scene, showing the bad teacher fighting the good one
One of my fav movies, its iconic but at the same time seriously underated. Its a perfect movie
This movie among 1-2 others. Started my obsession with karate, martial arts in general.. 🤟🤟
Like everyone said. Watch all the movies then the Cobra Kai series. It’s all good stuff. Glad you enjoyed this so much. This is the movie that got me into martial arts.
I keep hearing Cobra Kai. Is it a spin off?
@@DevinGtv901 you got it brother. It’s a spin off that takes place after the movies. It’s pretty awesome
@@Webwyrmthat’s my all time favorite Netflix series.
@@nathancruz9172I’m with you. Our whole house can’t wait for this last season!!!
Good to see you back doing movies, you been gone for a while Devin
John Avildsen was an incredible filmmaker - he made both the Rocky and Karate Kid movies. He also made a really good movie called Lean On Me with Morgan Freeman as a high school principal, you should check that out too.
This was one of my favorite movies as a kid, but it was only as an adult that I noticed how deep the relationship between Daniel and Miyagi is. Daniel got the father figure he needed, and Miyagi got back some measure of the family he lost.
This came out when i was 5.
For the past 40 years I've had this tattooed on my brain:
"Look eye! Always look a' eye!"
Good advice.
I love because of this movie. How i met your mother made me see this movie from the bad guys perspective, and then we get cobra kai is great.
In my top 5 favorite movies of all time, I love the movie and can rewatch it every year.
They were speaking to each other with their eyes.. More to communication than words. Five guys on one isn't a problem you can solve by yourself.
The Cobra Kai teacher is played by Martin Kove, Daniel is Ralph Machio,Johnny is William Zabka,Miagi is Pat Morita who passed away.
crazy thing is Daniel is the aggressor in most of the situations. Johnny was non violent and not looking for trouble most of the time, even the beach scene he was avoiding getting hit by Daniel till he's sucker punched, then he fights back. Even at the beginning when he says he's an ex-degenerate and won't drink then was calmly trying to just talk to Allie and work things out. Come halloween everything is calmed down and they coexist completely peacefully until Daniel starts sh*t with him. Daniel is the bully.
46:07 “no such thing as bad student, only bad teacher”
Kreese is also a Vietnam Veteran that’s why he’s “unstable” in away PTSD all that
A couple interesting facts. Chuck Norris was originally offered the role of John Creese but he turned it down because he didn't like the negativity and cruelty surrounding the instructor's teaching style. Elizabeth Shue (Ali) was a star soccer player in her high school. Knowing that, it's kinda funny seeing Daniel teaching her how to bounce the ball on her knees lol.
Mannn I've been waiting for some Amazing reactions ...glad I found ya
Pat Morita (Miyagi) played in a 30 minute sitcom running a restaurand and being the cook for a restaurant frequented by high schoolers set in the 1960's. I think the show was made the 80's The show is called Happy Days.
Best reaction ever!!! You should have seen yourself as he was setting up for the crane kick. You looked like a little kid. So cool!!!
Part 2 is good as well and worth a watch.
Love your channel man.
These with,Terminator 1,2 and back to the future will not die even if we do,legendary movies.
This may be through nostalgia glasses, but this is one of the all time feel good, coming of age movies. The second part is also a must watch as, IMO, it’s just as good as this one. Great reaction! If you don’t feel something at the end when Daniel is on the table, then I don’t think you’re human. 😂
I love how black people don't f around, that radio was broken, and Devin wasn't playin' after that, respect my guy
Maaaaaan I just watched your episodes I-III and randomly saw this pop up just now. I watched this film back when it came out. I was NINE! You have some really positive and powerful energy and it's contagious. Thanks for bringing me back, brother! And you GOTTA watch the 2nd one lol!
I’m glad you enjoying the content fam!! I’ll definitely keep it coming
Karate Kid 2 is one of those rare gems that is better than the first. Amazing movie and one of my absolute favorites.
Me too. Because, I get the idea of what miyagi used to live in Okinawa.
This movie is fire. It was one of my favorites growing up and there are so many amazing quotes in it!
Great reaction D, please watch the rest of them to see the characters grow and Mr Miyagi being even more amazing!
Ralph macchio was 22 during the filming of this movie and turned 23 that November
The fun fact is that William Zabka and Ralph Macchio are both real friends in real life.
@@nathancruz9172 yep they became closer friends after pat's service
Yeah, Bonsai trees require a specific amount of water and sunlight. They are tricky to maintain, which makes them rare and usually makes them expensive.
You should see Elizabeth in the Babysitter or my favorite the Saint. Love your show
Thank you supporting and thanks for the recommendation
Great reaction ! Love your enthusiasm
You should absolutely watch karate kid 2 and 3. They’re great in their own right, especially karate kid 2, but they’re also the set up for the show “Cobra Kai” which I just know you would love.
Mr. Miyagi kicks ass in KK2 and KK3. I hope you react to those movies and then react to the Cobra Kai series!
I used to watch that movie. Constantly when I was a kid.😂
I’m hella late lol
You gotta watch part two!
He was speaking real facts though when he gave Daniel the car.
Dutch was actually the craziest of all of em. Johnny had the skill but Bobby was almost right there with him. In real life he's a legit 6th degree. In the cobra Kai series though they said that 2 years prior Tommy was runner up. Last year was Bobby
Loving this reaction video.
1st Karate Kid is an amazing classic. The 2nd is a MASTERPIECE. I can't wait for you to watch it!
I've actually use to know an older Asian guy who caught flies with chopsticks in his store. Flies can't react to 2 things at once, that's why it's typically easier to clap a fly than carch it. They kinda freeze up for a sec.
This was a definite blast from the past! I grew up then. If this is was the whole movie, you were missing some parts and there's sequels to this and I believe the teacher from the other team does have it out with the old man. 😂🇨🇦
31:30 I don't care how old or young you are that shit hits hard every time "the good part"
Finally! Such a great movie! Watch them all bro! They are all great!
There are some thoughts out there about who is the real instigator in this, Daniel or Johnny. After Johnny takes him down on the beach first time, he is like ready to call bygones, with "You had enough hero?" ready to lend his hand to him. Had he done that, he probably would have been respected and even invited to join their dojo. Instead Daniel sucker punches him. Later on at the dance Daniel hoses him in the bathroom.
This idea is further lifted in the Kobra Kai series recently made. I recommend you watch all the Karate Kid movies, then the series.
Your reaction was awesome! 😊
Pretty sure i saw You helping a Kid in the Gym in a ShortVideo ... Respect and Thx for being a decent Human !👍👊 And great Reaction like always ...what else to epect ...
"Crane on his ass!" 😂
The way he says "ah $!!T" at 12:00 hits just right, somethin' about a strong black brother calling it out like that, damn I wish race relations in this country was better, I can vibe with this dude 100%
Great reaction! You gotta do part 2 next!!!
You definitely see what you wanted between Mr. Miyagi and the Cobra Kai Sensei in the second movie.
Great reaction dev
You wanna see mr miyagi kick kreeses ass, watch 2 and 3. I would also implore with the rest of the fan base to watch cobra kai. You wont be dissappointed. Your face when daniel realized what all the chores were for was priceless. Great reaction
After you watch all the kk movies (the one with Jaden has nothing to do with these movies) also have to watch the one with Hillary swank as it's the last movie with pat Morita. Then start up with cobra kai.
Daniel still has the car, gi and headband. The original outfit is home in a frame. The car - he just had the engine changed (before cobra kai started filming) and it's in the cobra kai series.
You'll love it. Ck season 6 starts on July 18th. Can't wait
The journey begins.
Fun fact: Ralph Machio still owns that car.
That soundtrack hits different in 2024.
This one had my favorite scene in the franchise, where Miyagi showed Daniel why he was doing those chores. And this movie is excellent. And I may be in the minority on this, but I liked the second movie even better.
My dude, you've got the recipe. Don't change a gd thing. 😊
Now you gotta watch 2 and 3
“Careful how you ride home.” 😮😅
Daniel is still driving that yellow car in Cobra Kai
Love your reaction! Karate Kid II is just as good, if not better!
43:45 that's martial artist Darryl Vidal. He was Pat Morita's (Mr. Miyagi) martial arts stunt double.
Get him a body bag, Devin!
There was a boy born with only one arm. He wanted to be a wrestler. So he went to the wrestling master and asked him to teach him wrestling. The master taught him one move and had him practice over and over. The boy was confused but didn't say anything. Then he entered into a championship. He was afraid because he faced opponents who had both hands, were older and more experienced. But he fought and used the one technique he knew and won against his opponents. He reached the final and faced his strongest opponent and he won against him too.
He asked his master how he was able to beat stronger and more experienced opponents. The master replied, the move that he taught, there was only one defense against that, the opponent has to grip his other arm. But since he didn't have the other arm, they were vulnerable.
That sounds made up 🤣
@@erwaldox it's an inspirational story. Like this one.
