My S.Sakura is on her way to being 10/10/10. She does the most damage to Kraken by far and I imagine that's one that most people are going to fight the most. Edit: Oops let me clarify. I don't have SBS, so among my roster, she does the most damage by far.
Yeah she is almost like a must have for Kraken along with SBS and ye Kraken is like the only Anomaly Raid that I run since I have plenty of manufacturer gear saved up but my OL lines can always use some work. 'I'm a F2P so OL lines is what I can mainly work/tinker with if I want the most out of my Nikkes' My 1* SBS does around 1+ billion damage by the end of the run and my 0* 'single copy' Sakura does around 800+ million so ye shes really good there. 'standard Liter+Crown team setup'
My S.Sakura is as invested as SBS, with 1 LB, but she is still doing only about 90% of the damage of SBS. Against non-Kraken, it's not as good. While she is massively underrated in the west, she isn't the best pick against non-Kraken. I still use her in raids, she is still strong in general content. But S.Sakura being at SBS level for one boss, doesn't quite qualify her for SSS in my mind, she's still SS though.
@@edelbrock443 Yup, S.Sakura is kind of a niche Nikke but vs bosses where she can utilize her kit shes pretty good so the SS sounds about right. Mine is also fairly invested like 8/10/10 and has 2 line of elmental OL+ some other decent ones and I plan on working on her further at some point. My SBS is pretty much at the point where I can't really make her better w/o massive luck so I've settled with her for now but since shes strong vs almost anything it was worth it.
There tends to be a few discretions between JP and EN-speaking servers' tier lists (on any gacha) due to different perspectives on how they're organized, as well as different values. For the former, you already noticed that JP bros don't like using tiers below A--this is primarily due to the fact that, historically, gamers will see grades lower than A and immediately disregard the characters in those brackets, even if they're useful to have for niche situations or starting out. We on NIKKE have evaluations for NIKKE in early content, and although someone like, say, Diesel isn't meta for us veterans, she's good for someone who is gaining footing until they get to late-game content. For the latter, JP players in any gacha put a lot of stock into how consistent a character is. For us, we like to look at the maximum potential of characters (under realistic situations), which isn't different from what JP bros seek out, but they also really consider how easily a character can reach their potential. For the longest time, JP favored Noah because Noah does 1 job, but in a way that's practically impossible to screw up. More recently, with Thief Quency, a lot of discussions mainly focused on methods in which players could maximize her uptime over maximum damage output. When you consider both these factors, character evaluations aren't much different from our own (i.e. you'll see that the very top and very bottom ranks are identical) up until we get to the range of characters who we would consider to be very niche. It's one of the reasons I'd suggest NIKKE players watch both you and PESU MY (basically your JP counterpart in the NIKKE community) as you're both thorough with information, but discuss different perspectives/scenarios at times.
I think that these tier lists are fan voted, which makes sense cuz rupee and rem are so high because they are so loved in JP and KR. No single person contributed to the tier lists here hence why we see lopsided tier lists, perhaps?
Asuka and Rei, who I have MLB, are incredible, second strongest team behind SBS/Alice. I blew all my savings on those 2 and it's paying off (I can still get 2+ copies of anni when it comes around). If Modernia is SSS, then Asuka is better. Also, Novel is still the most underrated Burst 2 (most underrated unit period). She's an absolute must-have for killing bosses if you don't have bunnies/JK/Crown. Rupee and Centi are better for mob content, but against bosses, it's not even close.

I remember people kept saying Scarlet Black isn't SSS tier when she came out. Nah she definitely a great character to put on in almost any situation.
