- So the grass took about 7 days to germinate. What you see here is about 7 days on from that. Plenty of germination. I am very interested to see how thick the rye grows and to know if I'll have enough coverage to hide the brown town during winter.
Thanks again for watching :)

Dont stress mate providing the coverage is even, thin is fine it will surprise you, You are on the right track.
Legend, thanks mate.
Think there are a few spots that I missed with the scarifier in my rush. Learning a bunch for next time
@@YourBestLawn So good mate cant wait to follow along and see how it goes for you. The fam all sit down and watch your channel mate 🤟
Hey that’s awesome to hear mate.
Looking good Mate.. I'm Looking forward to how it turns out and I bet it is going to be mint! cheers.
It's going well mate. Could always be better though haha
Keep going mate, Finally I’ve found a RUclipsr that’s starting from grassroots. like you l have just started experimenting with ryegrass and I’m liking how my grass is progressing. However There’s not much information about ryegrass for beginners. Your Channel has already answered quite a few of my queries and I’m looking forward to the progress in your yard over time. It’s also giving me encouragement to keep going on with my yard, Thanks again And good luck, i’ll be watching👍
Hey mate 👍 thanks heaps for that feedback, greatly appreciated.
Glad you're getting something out of it as well and giving new things a try! So much to learn but good fun doing so
you wont regret it mate, it's all upside for someone who loves lawns. Once you see it tillering and filling up the gaps you'll be glad you gave it a crack.
Looking forward to it spreading out a bit. I’ve actually got a few single plants in pots to see how much they spread out just out of curiosity
it will loook mint after a few mows !
Here’s hoping mate
Good video mate. I'm melbourne based and my couch is hideous through winter. I might do a different couch or this rye if it turns out good.
Thanks mate. The rye has been great fun this winter. As my first attempt there is a lot of room for Improvement. Better than watching the couch go brown thats for sure
Going to look great mate, can't wait to see it fill in, thank you for the video!
Thanks mate, glad you're enjoying the videos 👍👍
Looks great keep up the good work!
Love your work, I live in Southern Vic. Will see how yours goes and do the same next year if all goes well. 🤞
Thanks mate, hopefully it turns out alright
Great vid mate, You have given me confidence to do an over sewing project next winter. I'm a bit luckier, live up in Brissy but the cost to spray it out is a bit of a killer....Monument's over $200. Keep up the awesome vids mate. Cant wait to see how it goes after the Scotty hits it.
May as well have a go mate, I've learnt a few things this time and will make sure to point all that out in the future. Round 2 next year should be even better....hopefully.
Yeah man I'm not.looking forward to buying that stuff. I might try water stressing it and see how it goes once it gets hot as hell up here
Looks great man! I might dabble in the same deal next year or year after. Will pick ya brain then ;)
Too easy man. Certainly hope I’ve got some clue next year haha winging it at the moment 👍
Lawn's coming along nicely mate, well done. Missed the dishlickers, are they barred from the new lawn? All the best, Brian.
Yeah mate, they were banished to the house for a fortnight, big tough Kelpies didn't seem to mind though.
Hopefully it holds up to their usual shenanigans
Can you scarify the couch in March and load up on Rye overseed?
yeah mate definitely 👍
Give it till you first month of growth.
Then over seed again, roll it in with the reel roller.
Mine has Buffalo, kikuyu, Couch
Buff just dont bother, Kik was average, Couch came up the best in my rye overseed for this year.
Thanks man I’ll see how she thickens up.
