Dude, can't get over how many times you moved the camera in that mow out the back. I need to lift my game haha!!! That Rye is looking amazing, stripes up crazy well.
Hope nobody pinched your mower while you were making happy Ben noises our the back. Lawn looks amazing on the drone footage! Working on my editing, love how you do yours 👍🙂
Great Vid Bro. Drone shots of your lawn compared to neighbours is awesome, with the colour popping. Love the checkerboard or as we call it "Tartan" stripes too. Also luvin the plug system, great way to do the bare patches. Keep up the good work, vids and music.
Love your videos man! Have followed a good couple years! I've got a challenge for you if your interested?! Do a full year only using bunnings/local stores products? I honestly think it would really appeal to your everyday lawn enthusiasts! Give us the knowledge on what to use vs what not to use. Cheers Nick 🤙
Great video as always Ben, sorry I’ve missed your last few videos, I’ve been getting back into my lawn finally and we’ve had some good rain this week, was going to mow today but it’s a bit slushy Lol 😂 and I’d rather wait than have it looking Yuk, can’t believe your almost to 100k subscribers, Who Would Of Thought, that’s Awesome 👏🏻, You So Deserve It. Cheers Janelle 😊👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Hey Ben, love your content. Would be cool to see how you level soil before seeding a new lawn. Not leveling an existing lawn, but how someone could get that 1% slope you created. Have a new lawn I’m putting in and want to DIY the leveling.
Hiya Great video as always. Can I ask about your thoughts re fescue/bent mix versus rye? And in terms of your rye, which cultivars do you have and why are so many people against rye? Is it just that it doesn't look as good as fescue - yet your lawn looks superb!?
Hey Ben, so I have your basic tall fescue for my front and back lawn and threw a little bit of some RTF in the lawn as well just to help thicken the lawn a bit but with tall fescue the cut is around 4"-5" so that it looks lush. What grass see do you use on your lawns? And how would I change my tall fescue lawn to what ever that beautiful grass seed is that you use? Also I live in California so the temperature here is fairly hot all year round.
Looks amazing mate! I am in the UK, currently in the process of reseeding my lawn. Any suggestions on how to make my lawn flat and compact without all the fancy equipment?
I know you like your stripes and checks, but is there a reason you don”t double mow (mow straight back over your first mow in the opposite direction)? I find it gives a perfect solid colour across the whole lawn which on your green lawn would really pop.
Hi Ben, I have sir walter buffalo in QLD. I was going to do my first top dress this weekend but lots of rain throughout the week the grass and soil underneath is quite damp decided to hold off until next weekend. I am leaning towards a sandy loam over sand. Do you agree that the sandy loam would be the best way to go or should I go sand? We laid the turf about 18months ago I got about 140m2 and we had to get 17m3 of soil to level it up to the house slab all done in a weekend with 2 wheelbarrows lol. So after all the rain and settling its bumpy and I need to level it out a bit as its getting scalped in a heap of areas. Cheers mate.
Loving the vids as always. Would love more info on how you manage your watering schedule with the constant overseeding. Do you hand water the newly seeded areas in addition to your regular watering? Or do you still water the lot three times a day?
Where'd you get that aerator bloke? I got one from Bunnings that's useless because the prick gets clogged up. That one looks good. Apologies if you've answered this question a million times.
What are your thoughts on regenerating perrenial ryegrass (RPR) vs the SR4660ST that you have? loving the vids, I finally finished watching every single one on your channel 😂
What type of grass do you have? A client has been asking for grass that's able to stay short and not look terrible and yours is awesome LOL I think this is what we're trying to go for
He’s able to keep it short by using a reel mower, plant growth regulator and regular mowing. Perennial ryegrass isn’t a ‘short grass’ type, it can grow quite high and quickly. Bentgrass is a type of ‘short grass’ that’s mainly used on golf greens.
I usually do once a year. I didn't get to this season because the aerator I ordered still isn't in. Supposed to turn up next month so I might do a solid tine then.
Is no one going to mention that cutting montage?!?!? Bro, what an edit!!!! Next level shit.
The colour of your lawn compared to your neighbours, some serious domination right there.
You have some good musical taste… and a great lawn. Do your neighbors avoid eye contact with you? Lol.
99.9K as of this comment! That's awesome man! Video was on point as always.
Thanks my man! 30 subs away 😬
@@LawnTips If I had 30 accounts, they’d be all yours!

Hopefully the worm returns flying back in the next video 🤣🤣
Poor bloke haha
Ben putting seed and soil down on the plugs in "small amounts" is like every chef ever when they say "just a little bit" 😂
Exactly what I was thinking when I rewatched today 😂
@@LawnTips better too much than not enough hahaha
Wow, green recovered nicely.
Ben.... that’s awesome. The checkerboard from the drone is off the chain.
Gotta love that PRG contrast.
👌👌👌
Been a subscriber for nearly a couple of years now, this is the best mow I’ve witnessed on your channel bro it was tidy 👏🏻
Dude, can't get over how many times you moved the camera in that mow out the back. I need to lift my game haha!!! That Rye is looking amazing, stripes up crazy well.
Haha thanks mate. It makes for a long mow though. Took me 5 hours to film this vid 😂
@@LawnTips yikes!!!! Maybe I need to go part time at work 👌
With the difference between your lawn and your neighbours’ lawns, I’m surprised it can’t be seen from space! Looking good!
Pretty sure it can with google maps satellite 😂
Great episode and amazing editing broski !

These videos are so good, great work with the editing Ben.
Hope nobody pinched your mower while you were making happy Ben noises our the back. Lawn looks amazing on the drone footage! Working on my editing, love how you do yours 👍🙂
It looks amazing mate. It's still the lawn that sets the standard that we all try to achieve :)

Be careful leaving the rover out the front by itself 😂 looking awesome mate I reckon you just get the green ready before winter every year 😂
Haha pretty much man. Next year is going to be different! No oversowing this year 🙌
@@LawnTips do you think you can use the heat mats to help it stay greener? Protect it from frosts etc.

You just yeeted that worm
Hi Ben great vid killing it!
Just wondering is it necessary to core aerate before leveling with sand or can you go without??
Be happy youre not on the east coast mate. My lawn has not been dry for two months and its looking baaaaad
I mix Slasher and Glypho together aswell. Good for Rocky borders along lawns

He uses perennial ryegrass which is a cold season lawn. I guess California is too hot for that

I know you like your stripes and checks, but is there a reason you don”t double mow (mow straight back over your first mow in the opposite direction)? I find it gives a perfect solid colour across the whole lawn which on your green lawn would really pop.

With a first mow do you collect the clippings or mulch them in rye grass??

I was recently wondering why the hell he's got solar panels from the north side. And then 🤦 he's in Australia. The lawn looks great btw.
watched a guy plug ryegrass today. First time for everything

Mint !!!

Always like watching your vids , can you do a vid on dealing with animal spots? My front has been ravaged by the local cat population.
Would it be better to fill the aeration holes with sand to aid in drainage and getting nutrients down to the roots?
The difference in green compared to all the neighbours

Go cut that corner where you bent down with your plug machine !!! Make it level with the rest of your grass!!! It’s driving me crazy!!!
Quick question, do you aerate you entire yard?
I usually do once a year. I didn't get to this season because the aerator I ordered still isn't in. Supposed to turn up next month so I might do a solid tine then.

Hi what type of grass is that ? You have done an awesome job of your whole yard different lawn porn.
Perennial ryegrass 👍🏽 thanks mate 👌🏽
you've made your yard into a flannel

it sure does! Rye is awesome man!
I swear your neighbor neglects their lawn as a big F you lol
Hi
Yo
Grows a beautiful lawn and then leaves two pieces of concrete inbeded in the front yard 🤦🏻♂️
That’s a footpath that the council here in Australia put in. I’m not allowed to remove them because council owns the bottom part of my yard.
