Fantastic what Steve did! After reading this book over in 1993, I was so touched by it that I immediately sent off for the lessons from Self Realization Fellowship in Los Angeles. These beautiful teachings have changed my life, brought so much joy, love, purpose and even after 20 years of following them, the liberating truth in them resonates with my soul. I hope it does the same for everyone!

So even Steve Jobs followed Vedanta Sanatana Dharma(Hinduism). I always thought he didn't and was not interested, after his visit to India.

@@theyoungindians9027 that goes against anything i've ever heard about a person being spiritual. it's all about giving yourself to others.

@@SnakesGaming2016 Here self in self-absorbed is not ego. Self in Self-realization is Aatman/Soul.
Steve Jobs didn't care how wealthy he was (he had sold all his shares in Apple after he was kicked out), didn't care how he looked (only one black dress he used to wear most of the time), wasn't fearful of failures, wasn't obsessed with results. He was just obsessed with his work. That is true definition of Karma Yoga or Yoga of action - where you lose everything in your action.
He did give himself to others. All the products of his were for others ain't it?

This book is an eye opener for all. The true, infinite nature of the human being emerges. I am glad that Steve Jobs acknowledged the sources of his inspiration to a community of thought leaders.
The coming age should see mankind emerge and assume their true role.

beautiful...reminds me of the story of James Jesse Lynn from Utah (aka Rajarsi Janakananda) who was also practiced Self-Realization techniques taught by Paramahansa Yogananda...what an inspiring message of how balancing our lives with meditation... and our search for God can be accomplished along with incredible outward and material success...proof positive that the two are not mutually exclusive but rather indeed work in tandem with each other.

"The yoga he taught emphasizes balancing service with meditation, and highlights the expansion of consciousness that comes when we are able to go beyond our human self and open ourselves up, through inner realization, to a deeper connection with every living being-in fact, with every atom in the universe. “When the ‘I’ shall die, then shall I know who am I,” he stated....."

“Most of you have had the feeling that you could be great, and do great things; but because you have lacked intuitive power, that potential has, for the most part, remained dormant. To progress and avoid the misery of mistakes, you have to find what is the truth in everything… In your relationships with others, in your business, in your married life, in every part of your life, intuition is essential.” - Paramahansa Yogananda, Autobiography of a Yogi

Spiritually it is to become one with God's Love. See and hear through Christ's eyes and ears, Speak and act through Christ Conscientiousness....
