Just finished her book. It was excellent, I felt that little girl's pain and I was amazed of her continual love for both of her parents, her continual hope things would improve. Many in her situation turn bitter, take drugs to deal with the pain but she became stronger. This is to be admired.
Some would say , may be he wanna make her stronger but i can not accept that , rejecting her when she was a little till her mother confirmed Steve is the biological father through a DNA testing , i think was the worst type of child abuse !!!
This is the dark side of Steve Jobs. How could he deny his child. She clearly has a lot of resemblance with him. If I were in her shoes, I don't think I would be as gracious as she is
At the beginning he did because her birth was inconvenient for what he was trying to do at a critical moment of his career. He was definitely eccentric, but you can tell in some way he was proud of her by immediately naming a new computer model after her. As far as having a relationship with her, Steve always comes around to doing what he knows he needs to do...but stubbornly.
How dare her family say they remember things differently. Of course they do, they weren't coldly denied by a man that had to know deep down that she was his. I'm sorry Lisa that he wasn't warmer to you, but I'm glad you and he had peace at the end.

Well I find it very intriguing what she describes about the healing aspect of writing the book. She says to go back there into those memories, being there with that child without interfering, just her being present in the past, in that car... That's how you do it my friend. You go back, not to process, not to interfere, just to be present. I saw the movie in the movie the way he denied his daughter was foul and the way that his daughter and her mom was on welfare while he was living big was foul. HIS BRAIN!!!!!! VERY CLEVER .!!!! DEFINITELY HIS DAUGHTER !!!!
I like Lisa, she is innocent and honest.
Lisa is such a talented writer with the greatest sense of smell and super smart, of course she is, it’s in her genes. Her mother is super intelligent and the most underrated author out there. Her book”A Bite in the Apple” is a masterpiece. ChrissAnn is a very deep thinker.
Any real man is protective of his little girl.
Instead of kicking her to the curb.
She’s such a beautiful woman !!!
Yes, but looks very tired ...
She has grace . Very strong lady. I hope she gets married and has a big family.
The "I owe you one" thing doesn't seem that ambiguous to me. To me it means if I could go back and do it better, I would. But I can't, so instead I'm in debt.
Yes; probably took her awhile to metabolize
I saw the movie in the movie the way he denied his daughter was foul and the way that his daughter and her mom was on welfare while he was living big was foul. Yes he created APPLE but that doesn’t excuse someone abandoning their child and ignoring their child physically as affection and love and time. And mentally like abandonment and denial of someone so little and helpless like a child you would treat like that. Hopefully he apologized to her.
Seems Steve's widow is just as narcissistic as him. She has said he was hardly there for his children and his daughter Eve had to make appointments to see him. Steves widow is now living the highlife dating celebs. I believe Lisa's story!
John Kerry must be hanging around Palo Alto Whole Food and coffee shops hoping to "trip into" her.
I find everyone, regardless of station in life, has a unique journey. We are all blemished. And we all have different perspectives that age with time.
So glad to hear she spent some time with her Dad before he passed. I'm sure he had a lot of regrets. Steve was no different than any other parent, who has children
So accurate indeed, I wish you could continue following the footsteps of Steve jobs.
I love her personality!!
She still have got soft spot her late father.Despite having ignorance during her childhood
Any real father would gladly throw away this technology for the gift of raising a daughter
Not Steve but he had to make a sacrifice to bring the Technology that we are using today
The way she moves is so Steve Jobs. That's not just an opinion. It's a fact!
The missing father theme, just as Steve's father was missing in his life. Ancestral trauma
Yes.
She knew that some people would be angry about the book but she did it anyway. Well, she's a Jobs, right?
All I can hear and see in her eyes is his father. Making mistakes is better than faking perfections.
She has that manic intensity...love it
9:15 I’m not sure why she acts surprised about people’s negative reactions towards Steve’s behavior when she was a kid. Those stories she told were not found elsewhere, and they’re new, a new perspective about how mean he could be...
She is a hauntingly beautiful and charismatic image of Steve. It’s so unfortunate though that this image represents the result of a rather dark side of Steve Jobs.
She is beautiful
That ended abruptly
Steve Jobs was our eras Thomas Edison he changed the world. But in a few decades historians will see him as a good marketer who took way to much credit and was vindictive at times and will judge him less kindly.
what Tomas Edison did name a few
Everyone romanticizes the dead
Bang on the money with that comment.
i feel bad for her. steve treat her so bad when she was a child
Came here after watching Steve Jobs documentary on Netflix
Legendary hero, Steve Jobs can’t be compared to any ordinary man. His background and personal experiences r well explained in autobiography. Lisa is lucky as his daughter…👍
Best of all there was peace at the end!!!! The dark side or weakness of a man does not make a total bad man. This because WE ALL HAVE WEAKNESS AND BAD SIDE!!!
I supposed Tim Cook is also under Steve Jobs shadows, although I think Tim makes Apple products aligned really well.
You serious?
She is a real daughter , Lisa is one which talks about her father ... The 3 ones just silence ...
She just feels so "steve Jobs" the way she talk , The way her eyes looks
06:16, has he been listening to her..? How could such a presence have been her father? Steve was the main reason her mother became enraged.
I noticed that too - such an odd interjection. Also when he said "and you remember that?" just after she said "it was terrifying".
6:14
Lisa: "a good presence the kind that couldnt interfere"
Interviewer: Oh you mean your father
Lisa: I just said he denied me in the time article...you know 28 percent chance he's not the father. So yes he's the good presence idiota
Mona was the one who kept at Steve to have a relationship with Lisa. It is surprising that Mona feels like she does, but by that time she may have wanted to stay on the Jobs family's good side.
We all know who is Steve Jobs, but looking at his eyes and his stories, he certainly was a very difficult guy.
Now I want to get my hands on her book
6:17 I feel like he completely missed the point. I knew it wasn't him and feel like this moment solidifies that even when you're aware, Steve still overshadows.
