People get this confused a lot. 1. Toph can sense Earth anywhere, it doesn't have to be considered "ground", she only see things on the ground because they are connected to the Earth. If Toph was in the North or South Pole, where ice is considered "ground" she would really be blind. 2. She can sense the shape and positioning of anything connected to Earth, which is why she's so good at fighting. The boy behind her pointed, he's standing on metal, she sees exactly which direction he pointed then and launches a rock that way.

How things have reversed for Aang and Zuko! Poor Aang. I can understand how he was feeling when Sokka was overjoyed at his "dead" status. He already felt immense guilt for being 100 years late and having the world without hope for so long. Now the world is seemingly without hope again. It's a lot to bear, especially after dying and failing big time back in Ba Sing Se. We finally get to see Ozai's face! I remember thinking it was hard to believe that such a handsome and normal-looking guy could be the cause of so much suffering both for the world and for his son. Mae Whitman was phenomenal this episode! I found myself tearing up a little when Katara broke down emotionally like that. She's been so strong and holding everything together thus far that it was about time she let everything out, and allowed herself this huge moment of vulnerability. Zach Tyler Eisen, Aang's VA, was also fantastic this episode too! For a kid, I always found it impressive just how wide of a range he had in terms of emotions. I remember seeing it on a page with very poor quality, in parts. At that time I didn't know English (I was about 8-9 years old I think) I didn't understand anything but I knew it was epic.
Talk about some trauma. Katara had to drag his lifeless body back to Appa and had to hope that she was healing him. He was in a coma for 2 weeks and all she could do was try to heal him with almost no effect. She was using water purified by a God by the way. Some of the most sacred water in the world and even that was almost not enough.
Well funny story about a airbender guru named Laghima who lived thousand of years ago who spend the last decades of his life never touching the ground after relinquishing all his earthly attachments.
This channel has kept me going through this whole shitstorm, the positive vibes needed during these dark times. So glad I stumbled upon your JoJo reactions otherwise I wouldn’t have found this gold
You’re telling me this whole time I’m sitting here waiting for them to release the next reaction just to realise that they’re already on book 3 of the legend of korra??????? Why did I not get the patreon
Yeah, I’m surprised more people don’t pay the patreon. They’re months ahead on there lmao, they react to like 2-4 episodes of one or two shows on weekdays
Emilia Martinez well there’s 3 tiers, but only the 2nd and 3rd tiers give you access to early content. I ended up getting the 3rd tier ($10) because it gives access to every reaction. Some of them like lupa’s reaction to the promised neverland, are patreon exclusive. But anyway, I’m not 100% sure if tier 2 gets you every reaction. I think it’ll give you every episode of atla, but if you want every reaction you should prolly get tier 3. Cuz I started with tier 2, but it didn’t have every show 🤷🏽♂️ But anyway it’s still completely optional unless you want full and early reactions. They’re about to be on book 4 of korra, and are reacting to other shows like re zero, and fma brotherhood. (Long comment sorry lmao)
15:41 this scene literally introduces the last book of the series (Fire) when the glider catches on fire. Such good symbolism. That music always gets me hyped af because Fire is my personal favorite of all the seasons.
I love how the Gaang all looks older and more mature by season three, idk how the illustrators managed to pull that off. Also I think Aang really works having hair, although it is heartbreaking to see bc i know having hair causes a lot of spiritual and cultural strife within him. Also i wasn't really with the maiko train when i first watched the show but i loved how you guys reacted to them lol! love these videos !
technically earthbenders could fly because you know how toph hold them up before discharging them, technically the avatar could do that in an avatar state and either mold two rocks around his feet and bend them up or use them like pumps and they push you up..idk its 12 am
1:15 I think it was the because the Earth King lived his whole life being kept out of the loop and fed with all the wrong information. That's why when he said "The Earth Kingdom...has fallen..." It was powerful because even HE knew the gravity of the situation.
I’m mad y’all talked about being able to just fly with just airbending then the wing suits. Like did y’all watch Korra before Avatar The Last Airbender 🤣😂😂
8:15 maybe one of the only plot holes. Toph is on a ship separated by water from another ship. Not only is she able to aim for the opposing ship's catapults, she can also intercept the projectile fired from the catapult. This is contrary to how the writers explain her "vibration vision" works. She should be for the most part unable to "see" anything past her own ship. Even if you make the argument that her hearing has developed to compensate for her lack of eyesight, she would most likely miss incoming projectiles and still have no chance to aim at a catapult. I believe this plot hole is only compounded by "The Desert" in S2 as Sokka has to direct her where to aim a rock to hit a buzzard wasp that is far closer to her.
It’s pretty weird to me how Zuko invented the saying “Azula always lies” to keep himself from falling in her lies, but then played right into one, true his actions are actually reasonable considering what he was through at the time, but it seems weird to me how he ignored his own saying
Why do you think Zuko kept saying it to himself repeatedly? Life experience taught me that if you are repeating a mantra to yourself for something a lot in one go, you know you’re desperate against a powerful mental force. Azula manipulated Zuko to the point where Zuko feels he can’t trust himself to know when she’s lying. Azula also always uses Ozai’s honour and the honour of prince hood, 2 of the things Zuko spent his whole life defining himself by. It’s clear Zuko knew he was facing a losing war against Azula’s mind games, and he has nothing left for himself other than to repeat a mantra to use what little mental strength he has against her.
The insanely fast fall of Ba Sing Se was directly based on the fall of the Qing dynasty. Especially the fact that the nobles in the capital completely ignored the war right up until the invaders had breached the city walls.
Azula, Katara and Toph are the proof that us guys dont give a shit if a character is female or not...just make the character matter to the story and most importantly, make them a fucking badass like them!! Dont do what Disney did to Ray.

Bro you're so smart I never caught that one, can't believe I learn more about the goated writing in this show after all this time watching it
If a man like Ozai was ever proud of something I did, I would be seriously concerned about my moral compass 😬
LupaSan: FIRE 🔥
these intros something else I luv it
"She been getting that fire ZUCOCK!" - I almost fell off my chair XD
Broooooo Zucock the best line I have ever heard in reference to Zuko that is perfect. I will use that for now on. Thank you so much for that little nugget, of awesome.
May is getting that "Zucock" lol😂😂😂
Ya'll don't even realize how absolutely addicted to your reviews of AtLA I am, I swear I've been refreshing RUclips multi times a day since last Thursday anxiously awaiting this to drop
Remember as kids the time we had to wait between book 2 and 3, not knowing what was going to happen to Aang and the others. Good old days
I feel your pain luckly the show was done when i saw it in 2010 and 2011 lol
I remember seeing it on a page with very poor quality, in parts. At that time I didn't know English (I was about 8-9 years old I think) I didn't understand anything but I knew it was epic.
Talk about some trauma. Katara had to drag his lifeless body back to Appa and had to hope that she was healing him. He was in a coma for 2 weeks and all she could do was try to heal him with almost no effect. She was using water purified by a God by the way. Some of the most sacred water in the world and even that was almost not enough.
The parallels between Katara-Zuko / Ozai-Hakoda is just so good.
*You're telling...
Yeah, I’m surprised more people don’t pay the patreon. They’re months ahead on there lmao, they react to like 2-4 episodes of one or two shows on weekdays
Kavry how do the tiers work? Do you get access to all the ATLA episodes up until Korra?
@@kaeman09 oh I wish I could pay. But 20 dollars in my currency is the equivalent of what I pay every month for rent lmao
"if he's a master airbender i guess he can learn how to fly"
"he can make a wing suit"
yeah you guys really just summarized the air nation on LOK
That background is lit🔥
First time I watched this, I genuinely thought fire lord's gonna even out Zuko's scar lol. Give him the other side too
It's been months and I still can't get over your intro. Easily the best of any reaction channel. Props to Volta Bass and Plvyhaus.
“ I can fly without the glider”
Just wait until Legend of Korra....
Good hint
Ooooo season 3 was the shit!!!!!
Can't wait for them to react to the sequel
They are past the earth queen in lok on their patreon
“Let go your earthly tether, enter to void. Empty and become wind”
@@pollysama7499 ... why did u quote zaheer
I love coming to watch you guys’ reactions you all are so genuine and fun.. the energy is always so refreshing
“He got that zucock” I’m done..
technically earthbenders could fly because you know how toph hold them up before discharging them, technically the avatar could do that in an avatar state and either mold two rocks around his feet and bend them up or use them like pumps and they push you up..idk its 12 am
I freaking lost it at "Zu-cock" xD
love this episode, aang going through this darkness was so epic. now he needs to reclaim HIS honor
When this season first aired, we had to wait a looooong time. It was brutal.
If yall couldnt tell, Ozai is voiced by Mark Hamil
Finalllyyyyy been waiting lmao
Them casually talking about airbenders flying😆
I've been waiting for this finally :D
Omg yall reactions to Katara waterbending is giving me life!
7:42 You know what makes that funnier, it's cannon. Zuko and Mei did sleep together off-screen.
Where is this from?
Just so you guys know, they just finished Book 3 on Patreon, so if you want some super early access, check it out.
And I mean Book 3 of Korra.
Is ATLA on there?
Yeah
Firedick and Zucock make me chuckled lol
1:15
I think it was the because the Earth King lived his whole life being kept out of the loop and fed with all the wrong information.
I mean they used their brains, nothing much
@@Ghxurmett They have infact seen the suits already
@@lancetlo ohhh DUB lets gooo
@@lancetlo They have. But this is an old recording. At the time of this recording they haven't watch TLOK at all.
@@NGBH I'm saying
So happy this series is back. I’m here for the whole journey
This is my favorite season of avatar enjoy guys 😉
The Duke behind her giving assist
It’s pretty weird to me how Zuko invented the saying “Azula always lies” to keep himself from falling in her lies, but then played right into one, true his actions are actually reasonable considering what he was through at the time, but it seems weird to me how he ignored his own saying
Book 2 started with Zuko believing Azula's lies and ended with him believing Azula's lies.
Zuko keeps getting played like a fiddle
Sheera should totally get one of those Fire Nation hair decorations (like Zuko's or Azula's) to wear in her bun
“Mai has been in a strangely good mood lately”
Girls: oh I never expected that from her
Boys: 7:41
The insanely fast fall of Ba Sing Se was directly based on the fall of the Qing dynasty. Especially the fact that the nobles in the capital completely ignored the war right up until the invaders had breached the city walls.
That moment when you realize Fire Lord Ozai is voiced by the best Joker, Mark Hamill. O.O
Came back to watch this reaction series again, that intro animation hits everytime,
Them: talking about Aang flying
Me: shivers thinking of lok
Not gonna lie the whole speech the twins gave was everything! It gets hype all the time.
Azula, Katara and Toph are the proof that us guys dont give a shit if a character is female or not...just make the character matter to the story and most importantly, make them a fucking badass like them!!
Dont do what Disney did to Ray.
There are two tragedies in life one is not getting what you want the other is getting it that could be zuko's mantra
"He could make a wingsuit and do it"
😳
Imagine being a 14/15 year old mastermind smarter mind like Azula. She ruthless and cunning in a whole different level
