I know this is probably gonna be buried, but the story behind Taliyah’s development and progress through the years, her almost non existence in low elo to points of dominance in pro play. Where she went from near unplayable 6 months and earlier ago to one of the strongest junglers about 3 months ago for a brief period due to an over buff and everfrost could make for a great video. Either way, the way you present and execute these videos is second to none, top work Exil!
Can't remember the full story but I rmbr seeing Nightblue do a Taliyah video in the jungle as a joke, realised it was pretty great then soon saw a LOT more Taliyah Jungle, which was great since I loved Taliyah and she was one of the most forgotten characters(still is)
Riot when making khazix: “yeah we aren’t gonna make a champ who can drastically change into an assassin or bruiser” Also riot: releases Kayn a few years later
Also Riot: "Graves and Lucian are basically the same champ so we reworked one! Btw we made a Soraka Jr. that goes afk on their teammates shoulder and a Sona Jr. that's just the same kit but better!"
I've been a k6 one trick since season 4, and since i started playing in season 3 its pretty much my whole time in league. I've hit diamond every season no matter what his state was, and every season he was changed by riot in some form or another. Whats impressive is that the champion never lost his essence and never became unfun to play, even when nerfed to the ground. That speaks of one of the best designs in the game for sure. Over the years it has also become one of the few assassins ppl dont hate (at least a lot) cause anyone who has played it in a decent elo knows how much work you have to put in to make the champion work and how smart you have to be in the early game to succeed. Great video and a very exciting one for us the one tricks of the mantis ♡
@Adolf el loquillo hitler Rengar is just a worse Kha'zix. His ult has much more counterplay and announces to people what he's about to do, he can't disengage from fights like Kha'zix can, Kha'zix's evolved slow does more damage and is much more practical than Rengar's bolas, his evolved Q has an incredibly low cd, hits harder, and gives him extra range. All rengar has is the 4 stack heal, but Khazix's triple in combat stealth gives him far more damage avoidance than Rengar's heal.
@Adolf el loquillo hitler You list emp rengar abilities as if it didn't take several casts to prep them unlike Khazix who gets his empowerments naturally as he scales up in levels and can use them simultaneously, not choose one from the other. By lv16 a Khazix with emp q+w+R/E has far better backline access and disengage than Rengar does, and Khazix can siege better because of that emp W whereas Rengar gets a single moment to access targets through his ult and if that opportunity is gone, the champ becomes useless. He could build bruiser, but because his base HP and armor are abysmal, he'd just be a crappy bruiser. That's the problem with Rengar, his abilities have far more restrictions and conditions for effective use than Khazix's, which creates far more counterplay.
@@Necrostrike The one thing he has on kha'zix is single target assassination, kha'zix has him beat in outplay potential, multikill potential, adaptability (fitting), ganking, dueling (due to Q reduced cooldown as well as doubled damage in 1v1s). The one thing rengar does better is single target burst, its slight but he one shots just a bit faster.
As a Kha’Zix main, I thought this video was phenomenal. One cool thing I want to add is how Agurin (the rank 1 EUW Kha’Zix main you briefly mentioned) still uses that R evolve bruiser playstyle to this day, which I don’t think many people do nowadays. He generally uses conqueror, evolves R into W, and he plays to maximize both his skirmishing and utility. Last season, he would prioritize Red Smite Warrior into Black Cleaver followed by Duskblade in order to maximize CDR. This season, R evolve is also good for waiting for ability cooldowns (this is also supplemented by lucidity boots since ability haste is so prevalent) as well as stalling for Goredrinker. Earler this season, he would always rush Goredrinker into Black Cleaver, but now he actually rushes Manumune before Goredrinker, which also works quite well. Now that I’m done rambling, I just want to reiterate that I enjoyed every second of this video and appreciate how much effort you put into these. Thanks for all the amazing content Exil!

I just wanna say Exil, that I started playing League about a year and a half ago; and your videos are so informative about the rich history this game has. My friends have been playing this game for a while now and some even from the beginning! I really appreciate your videos as they show me what I have missed over the course of this game's existence and to an extent is making me a more knowledgable player going into my games knowing how things worked then and how things are working now in the Modern Age of League of Legends. All in all, thank you for putting so much effort in your videos and keeping us new players and veteran players informed and entertained.
Anyone remembers the time when Kha's W could apply his passive? And when he could use W while jumping with his E? Those were the days, especially for everyone in the enemy team :')
You really just upload straight fire. Creators like you keep the game growing outside of the game, and it helps highlight some of the greatest moments that have happened over the course of this game

If it's 1 v 1 with isolation kha'zix can easily shred any full tank champion.. I've done it many times. The only time I can't win against voli is when he has his teammates. I have 1.2m mastery points on kha'zix so I know him very well.
@@Tried2Satisfy6665 a full tank voli with the correct build has 4000 hp, and 400 ad. meaning his q deals 2500 on a 5 sec cooldown while his w and e give him so much healing that kha would just pulverize before getting a full combo on him.

Imagine sett vs zed. a good zed may get half of sett's hp down before sett does the Kamehameha and turns him into dust with his w. Same with voli and kha zix. But your vids, due to information AND nostalgia are just amazing. The story telling and the deep dive into the start of certrain characters are amazing. Please keep this up and I'll keep on watching.
On patch 3.8, it wasn't his E that stopped applying his passive but his evolved W. This was big for mid lane since it let him waveclear as it would apply the passive to all enemies hit, not just champions. After the nerf, his mid lane playstyle of waveclear/poke with flask/tear build wasn't as good since his W wasn't as much as a "one hit wonder" anymore, which is probably why they added the 20% slow on the base W to try and make mid less viable and jungle more viable as you said. Also in the part of the video that talked about the patch 6.22 changes that let his evolved R trigger when entering bushes, another big change with that patch was that his passive changed from flat damage with an AP ratio to slightly less flat damage with a bonus AD ratio. The addition of more AD scaling in his kit gave him more base damage with the Q evolve playstyle that was so popular during that time which you mentioned. This patch also removed the slow on his base W but kept the slow on his evolved W in addition to a big 80% slow when hitting an isolated target which would come up later in a more utility based playstyle evolving R into W. This evolved W change would be even more relevant later on after the evolved R was nerfed as it made any of his evolutions viable first depending on what you needed.

Tinjus: laughs in Hail of Blades 1v9 hardcarry full lethality Kha'zix
it is, what it is
@@ahnadiri lmaooo
imagine taking domination instead of phase rush
except when you watch his videos and opgg the names of the other players he's playing on gold4 mmr smurf accounts in oce with obnoxious commentary lmao
@@baltswed1 I would say it's better than People like Glacierr, Professor Akali, Solo Renekton etc. etc. who play in low Silver/Bronze to make clickbait content. At least with Tinjus, he's trying to be informational. I've personally been in a custom game with Prof Akali who ff'd at 15 minutes because he didn't get ahead for the video. I can quote him when I say "ff this game and next time don't gank my lane" (talking to the enemy jungler).
Bro, hearing cinderhulk brought back so many memories man... I've played this game for like 5 years now man the nostalgia...
As a tilted adc main often split pushing side lanes, I am here to study my sworn enemy.
just don't stay isolated, it's the biggest weakness of kha'zix. Fight against him in your minion wave
@@henriquemedeiros2840 yuumi is a big middle finger to kha zix ;-; but apparently adc dont know how strong it is bcs I haven't seen adc like yuumi
@@skelet8337 I agree, I am a kha'zix main but I also play yuumi support. Lmao
another champion with a ton of changes that id love to see you do an expose on is ekko. I think its fascninating how he went from being released as an ap mid lane assassin, to being the best tank toplaner in proplay, and then ended up as a top tier jungler in high elo
ahh i get it "ever evolving" good one Exil
I'm going to start liking your videos. I have lurked and watched for years at this point and you have not blown up enough.
This is a visual masterpiece.
Dark Star Khazix is just so beautiful to me, especially the ult upgrade. Love the dark purple blue hue to the skin. *Chefs kiss*
As someone who fell in love with playing kha'zix the excitement of seeing this video pop up is incredible
I've never been this early to one of Exil's documentaries!
this is the most underrated channel among all league community, deserves more.
14:49 I miss old Masteries...
Personally I don't miss them as much but rather the game around them.
these videos never fail to make me feel nostalgia from the time i started playing league, thank you my man
Nice documentary when he will be released on wild rift in the next few weeks
That quality of your work is absolutely astounding. I remember when Kha came out. He became my favorite champion for a long time even if he was broken lol. This was really nostalgic and took me back. Thank you and keep it up man :)
what better way to enjoy my evening than a new Exil video
:)
This brings me back... I started playing this game when Kha was the next champion to be released. Thanks for such an informative video Exil, keep up the good job!
the fact that selfmade went 4/2 and 8/1 in the first 2 games with kindred but then choked on kha zix made me really sad actually
i mean he didnt choked on kha. he had bad matchup vs enemy jungler and enemy team comp was shit to play against as khazix. it was draft diff
This is better quality than some of riot's official videos. I applaud your work
Oi I'd love to see a complete history for jax 🗿
That was a really cool watch, now I want to play kha'zix again and try to learn how to play him properly. I just can't seem to make it work when I get to jungle with him.
Thanks for the vids these are a really good side screen watch when working on something and weirdly soothing to listen to.
I think i speak for all Kha’zix mains when i say this was well made asf
This brings me back when in game events are huge especially khazix and rengar's. Good times.
Im suprised you didnt add the most important Kha'Zix video on youtube into this documentary:
*Kha'Zix is a team player*
exil:talks about ad brusiers with after shock
also exil:shows his own video
exile:stonks
kha'zix once had stealth when in bushes? wtf rito...
I see a new player here yep ppl forget but champs in the past were actually more broken than current op champs
i have not finished watching the vid (as of commenting this im at the beginning of ch. 1) and i must say this is some of the best editing ive ever seen
" But Kha'Zix, got *near infinite stealth* "
man that was so broken and fun
In-depth, detailed, truly high quality stuff. Kudos
He could do anything... except killing a full tank volibear.
@@tatarsergiu8414 stats isn't everything. In my experience facing volibear playing as kha. I never ever even once in my entire life got solo killed by a voli unless voli got a teammate on his back.
@@Tried2Satisfy6665 are you in iron?
@@Tried2Satisfy6665 A good voli can 1v3 if he knows mechanics. kha just gets pulverized and if he goes invis well congratulations! you have 3 seconds to run from an angry bear running towards you at 52% bonus movement speed and dealing half of your hp with one ability. Kha is an assassin. Voli is a fighter. Its like trying to 1v1 a brick wall. Imagine sett vs zed. a good zed may get half of sett's hp down before sett does the Kamehameha and turns him into dust with his w. Same with voli and kha zix. If you don't somehow deal like 5000 on q you wont be able to kill a voli 1v1 with kha, well, at least not one that has a positive iq
More amazing quality as always. Something about another how Riot has dealt with mains, or Diana history / rework specifically could be pretty neat!
Got no alert on this one... After literally watching every one of his videos... Screw you RUclips.
RUclips is so dumb
@@Exil22 You're stuff isn't even controversial, it's just game history and interesting themes about it... That is so stupid. I get political stuff being flagged because of "wrong speech" , but it's just ridiculous.
Khazix is my bug boy!!! He was my main in LoL and I cannot wait till he comes to WR
The dislikes are probably from the sad kitty mains who got pissed off due to the domination of the alpha predator

Up this comment
Where do you see rengar mains tho? They gone. Lethality rengar is no more...
@@kardaneg112 its sad tbh but at least the last survivors of the rengar mains species are insanely good otp
I like how you said that this is the "everevolving story of kha'zix"
Fits the champion really well
Thanks for updating your video to 4k, I hope more tubers pick up on this
This was well done. I started playing jg in S8, so lots of good memories here. Keep up the good content man.
Mate, I don't even know if you watch all the comments but just in case.
I've quit playing league for about a year now. Been playing wild rift on and off.. But your vids, due to information AND nostalgia are just amazing.
The story telling and the deep dive into the start of certrain characters are amazing. Please keep this up and I'll keep on watching.
Exil coming up with another banger ty dude. One of the community's best creators out there.
Khazix is gonna be in wild rift. Can't wait to play him
On patch 3.8, it wasn't his E that stopped applying his passive but his evolved W.
You deserve way more subs for the amount of work you put into this. Keep up the great work and don't forget to take breaks every now and then.
Kha'Zix has been my favourite champion of all time since I picked him up on the day he was released. I think you did a really good job with this video, thank you for telling this fascinating story for those who didn't know it. You brought back some very good memories for me, and it really made my day
Khazix is so fkn dope. Fav champ by a mile. Been maining him since release. Thank you so much for the documentary, it's amazing
Really informative video. Kha'Zix was the first ever champion I played back in Season 6 in has been my main since 7, glad to see him getting some love. I also like how you snuck in some double jump clips, that was cool.
One of the only creators on here that I consider worth liking and commenting on videos. These are great!
Kha'zix is by far thematically one of my top favorite champs (go figure I am a huge "ALIEN" series fanboy) but still he just fits in soooo well and how The Void ended up becoming in the lore it fleshed him even more :)
Not only a great video, but my lord is it super detailed and ofc looks amazing in 4k. I would love if the next documentary would be about pyke, although for a newer champ he won't have much of a history other than mid lane pyke and maybe a history of funneling.
Another great documentary, would love to see history of ekko one day
