I would choose DW290 over this just because of the Electroluminescent backlight and design uniqueness. Because, simply, this is my criteria for collecting watches. Most people barely use the watch features. Nice video, again🎉
I love my 291h. Had always heard of Walmart watches on sale and finally yesterday dropped in yesterday to buy this time piece for 15 bucks! I think it looks like the robot Weebo from Flubber
If you like the design, I highly recommend this watch. Great feature set and heavy duty construction (meaning it has a stainless steel ring in the resin case), 10 year battery. One thing rarely mentioned is just how crisp and strong the LCD digits are making it one of the best Casios in viewing angles. I don’t mind the LEDs lights when there are two of them like on this watch. The trade off of a longer battery life trumps the beauty of the EL backlight to me.
It's an ugly watch that grew on me. Jusy a few weeks and all its ugliness are purposeful, useful, and loveable. Except for the tiny round thing and the non-standard lug. 😂😂😂.

The 1200 series doesn't make good use of its display, it looks like a watch for kids. 291 as least looks purposeful , robust , industrial.

I am considering the DW291 now.
But i bought an A168 two days ago, so the 291 is for next month.......perhaps.
Casio is an addiction. At least it won’t bankrupt you though ;)

'Better' is subjective. However if you can get the dw5600 for around $50 I would get that first.
