Out On The Tiles is on of Zep's most underrated tunes.

In a music industry still focused on singles Zeppelin was all about the album. There are so many deep tracks as some would call them that are just better than so many others best efforts. They are just better than everyone else. The second disc of Physical Graffiti was all or mostly songs that didn't make previous albums.

Yeah, too bad it wasn't played more. The reason probably being that Plant was incurring a vocal injury that would limit his range and reliability for the rest of his career. No other reason the rest of the band couldn't handle this song any other night.

As I walk down the highway all I do is sing this song
And a train that's passin' my way helps the rhythm move along
There is no doubt about the words are clear
The voice is strong, is oh so strong
I'm just a simple guy, I live from day to day
A ray of sunshine melts my frown and blows my blues away
There's nothing more that I can say but on a day like today
I pass the time away and walk a quiet mile with you
All I need from you is all your love
All you got to give to me is all your love
All I need from you is all your love
All you got to give to me is all your love
    Oh yeah, oh yeah
    Oh yeah, oh yeah
I'm so glad I'm living and gonna tell the world I am
I got me a fine woman and she says that I'm her man
One thing that I know for sure gonna give her all the loving
Like nobody, nobody, nobody, nobody can
Standing in the noonday sun trying to flag a ride
People go and people come, see my rider right by my side
It's a total disgrace, they set the pace, it must be a race
And the best thing I can do is run
All I need from you is all your love
All you got to give to me is all your love
All I need from you is all your love
All you got to give to me is all your love
    Oh yeah, oh yeah
    Oh yeah, oh yeah
Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah

This is fantastic. They were utterly insurmountable as a live act back then. Page was a real tour de force in the earlier years when the group was consumed with enthusiasm.
Those early gigs (especially the LA gig from 1970 and the concerts in 71 and 72 had inventiveness and brilliance in spades.
I always think things began to lose their momentum around 1973 74.

When I was a teen, you could get these cassette LZ bootlegs with very poor audio quality. Even then, the sheer intensity of the performance would break through the poor sound quality. It confirmed the power of that band, where you felt that even a bad recording from some dude in row 88 with a shit cassette deck could not make them sound less than majestic.

@Olympiakos71 I know that there so many variations of "Blue Berry Hill"--this one seems to be of extraordinary quality...I reckon the quality level is from a CD, as I have heard many renditions of this song from these old vinyls and no way is this version from the old TMOQ ones, although Rubber Dubber put out a rather rare double boot form June 4, 1970--which is rated as Excellent Audience sound. That one, however, doesn't have this tune on it--"Tiles" is one of my top 3 Zep songs.

In other words, better LOL. Nonetheless, I suspect it's still a Paul, maybe the Black Beauty. Page's live tone was pretty thin for a LP. It was almost like he was trying to "Tele" his LP sound.

at their peak they swung and rocked and funked all at the same time. Is this the best rock riff ever?

For those who collect bootlegs which version of Blueberry Hill is the best. I've seen 5 different sources for this concert but don't know which one is the best one.
