If you looked there would be a little round piece of silicone about the size of a penny on the floor mat or a piece of it that contacts the brake switch A temporary fix is to epoxy/ hot glue/ Silicone glue a penny on the Brake lever where it contacts the brake switch. Pull the clip and pin that holds on the brake push rod to access the spot where the bumper is located . Your truck or car will preform as normal then.
Wow this information is fantastic. I never did see anything on the floorboard, though. But thanks, it would have saved me a long trip to the shop to have it fixed.
It was pretty scary to say the least. I had to limp this truck about 15 miles thru the city to get it to family owned shop to get it fixed. Glad this helped you out.
Thank you ! I have a 2015 F250 98,000 miles and it did the entire - hesitate power, and lights stayed on. I appreciate you taking the time to post. Now off to fix it!
@@Howard892 and so Random - I appreciate the fact that it occurred to you to help a brother out that might be searching for the same thing. I fixed it in 10 minutes for 30 bucks instead of sending it to the mechanic. I love my family mechanic - but times being what they are - saving a hundred dollars or more is important. Appreciate it.
Ill try to give a trbute to your car im so sorry it keeps breaking down mabye of i get a-no-f-e money i will buy you a good car NOT SAYING THIS ONE IS BAD but i feel se bad
I have had the same problem, the cruise control wouldn’t set and the engine would seem like it shut off intermittently. Brake lights also come on randomly, like I come home right now and truck parked with brake lights shining. I thought something was getting wet, but evidently I need a pad replaced
@huntermclaughlin29 wouldn't you want to know the symptoms I was having. Until it happened to me I had not a clue this was the culprit. I did tell you what the fix was. Even gave the part number.

100% of everything you described happened to me yesterday on my 2015 f-250. Get this, my truck has 103,000 miles. Thanks a ton for the info!

Glad I could help. It's a crappy experience.

This is exactly what my truck was doing. I initially thought it was the MAF sensor and possibly a Body Control Module. Glad it’s a $20 part
Good god it took forever to get to the point . Sheesh
Temporary fix i did to rule out issues is a bungee cord pulling up the pedal wrapped around steering column. Worked great.
Awh thats a great idea. Sure beats unbolting battery each time.
Please go the point....bla bla bla bla bla.
He talks too damn much talking about his life story. With one hell of a lisp
For the love of God bro the first 7 minutes I wanted to kill myself.
Thanks, my 2015 f250 doing same thing. Always find it on utube.
There was maybe 1 or two videos of this same issue. My mechanic knew exactly what it was right off the bat. Glad this helped you out.
Thank you
Your welcome.

I'll take you on your offer. Haha it's not been too terrible but has had a few break downs.

No point in telling your life story tell us how to fix it
