Interesting video. Some good advice is to open or loosen the fill plug FIRST. If it turns out you can't break the fill plug after draining diff oil or transmission oil you have a royal problem. You will not get in new oil which renders your car temporarily useless. Oil will also drain at a constant flow if fill plug has been removed.
Did you notice any difference in shifting of the transmission between the OEM Mazda fluid from the factory and the Amsoil trans fluid? More or less notchiness or smoother shifts?
the shift is not as notchy with Amsoil fluid when the trans is cold. Once warmed up it felt the same as stock. I switched back to factory fluid to see if i can feel a difference and with factory fluid, the shift is still notchy when cold (i drive my car in the winter as well)

Good advise indeed! I keep forgetting to do that

@Driver67 so amsoil's shifts are smoother? Interesting, I have heard the opposite
@@theacn5308 I just put amsoil in my tranny and it is smoother than stock
