Rdr2 was first announced in 2016 and was supposed to come out in 2017 despite it getting delayed to 2018
Same thing with Gta5

GTA VI will be massive as I don’t think It would be this easily disappointing because I have seen it in RDR II on how real and lively that game felt which the same might go for GTA VI on how far it can push the limits in making a game world that feels real and lively.
I sed years ago to make a amazing gta all they have to do is use rd2 mechanics in a modern world... but they will go beyond that. Its gonna be a amazing game rockstar don't fumble

The cost of us playing a quality game is we become salivating dogs waiting for the owner to throw a bone. They’ll likely push release to 2026… Disgusting senior management at Rockstar. They know we’ll put up with this because of what we’ll receive in the end - a stellar game.

Rockstar announced gta 5 in 2011 it released in 2013 rdr 2 announced 2016 released in 2018 so typical Rockstar announcing games 2 years before release with gta 6 announcement in 2023 so its probably releasing in 2025 because typical Rockstar announcing games 2 years before release

@@gothdimension4675 a fortnite sequel is stupid. Games today do not need sequals for improvements, it’s possible to be done by updates just like fortnite had done all these years. But that because fortnite makes money purely off of micro transactions unlike the gta games where they make their money off of the purchase of a game.
A Fornite sequal would literally just redownloading the same damn game with some more updates

What is strange is that yes, lots of people will be getting GTA6, but also lots of gamers won't be getting it (that will always be the case no matter how good a game is - we all have different game types), or not getting it day 1 - especially if the price is excessive.
I can imagine there will need to be a fine balance to keep others not competing but also try to pinch a bit of the market for people not getting the game. If too many games don't release for a prolonged time (so they don't clash), then there could actually be a window for people who want to play something that isn't GTA6
It is an excellent point and something to keep in mind. I think steam indies will still happen (maybe not the literal day) and then maybe a 2-3 week bridge away from it. But you're right, it's possible some games could thrive

In GTA 3, Claude and Catalina were once in a love relationship and did crimes together however, in the beginning of GTA 3, Catalina ends up betraying Claude.
