I got the inspiration to make this video from watching 'Rock On' (duh!) but it even surprised me that a movie which has nothing to do with Video Games at all is the one that got the ball rolling, Inspiration comes from anywhere truly.
    'PROCASTINATION POSIONS CREATIVITY'
That's the thing I learnt from this project , I had so many great ideas for this video now granted I was able to execute 90% of them but that remaining 10% man , the ideas that I missed out on might not be important in a macroscopic lens BUT I OBSESSE over tiny details , if something doesn't go the way I want I will lose my mind , because what if that 10% of the ideas that I skipped had the key to take my content to the next level , and the only reason why I didn't do them IS BECAUSE OF ME which is hilarious! Aur mai koi red pill Andrew Tate type stuff preach nai kar raha vo sab Bakwaas hai!
Eh zyada time waste nai karunga bas itna keh raha hu Don't Procrastinate on stuff ESPECIALLY If you are in a Creative field , make the most of the time you have!
Also seeing so many comments on the last video of people expressing their views and thoughts about gaming ,I can gladly say that I achieved the goal I set for that video and its all thanks to you guys! I really hope you guys enjoyed this video too! and if you think this video lacked something or could have been better , definitely let me know and no NOT BETTER IN THE SENSE KI MERA FAVORITE GAME MENTION nai kiya but as in The pacing of the video , the editing and all the other stuff!
Anyways its 4:30 AM while am writing this and why are you still reading this!? I leave these notes for me.

The pacing seems really good to me, actually this might be the 1st time i have seen a partial hindi video game essay with good pacing+editing. People only do commentary gaming videos here and nobody tries essays or they don't have the style that is digestible.
Also, small correction 2nd hand console games can be returned after buying on the same website for a bit price deduction on gamenation(haven't used cex or gameloot) and therefore console gamers can play at lower cost
12:43 What's with that moan sfx

If u want to waste your money on steam for the same experience which you will get from piracy then go for it. Vaise bhi it dosen't matter if u have a pc it means you are paying for your wifi.

Bro, games should release for ₹700-800 in India and old games for 200-300.. I doubt anyone would pirate, even for kids it'll be easier to convince their parents. Moreover we pay almost the same price as US does but our per capital GDP is 30x. At the very least you can offer the game for 800₹. I population wise were a huge country with a alot of gamers.. who are mostly pirating if we all buy it'll still be very profitable for the publishers. We're almost as big as Europe in the number of gamers.

Piracy industry had a huge role in shaping mentality of Indian society these people allowed middel class people to access the Movies, music and Videos games which they can't afford I played so many PS2 video games because of these RS:30 CD'S now when I have money as an adult I'll surely buy the original Video Games but I won't have this much of passion for it agar ye pirated Games nahi hoti, As a content creator I understand the loss of the producers but we have to understand one thing IF someone has the money to buy original why he would buy Pirated. All these Pirated company's shaped the Indian society we are like this now because of them. as of now I buy replica sneaker but whenever I have decent budget I go the OG too. This piricy thing is good to build the interest in the public and when they are able to afford they'll surely go for the OG.

games go very low on sales, thoda paise save karo aur sales mein buy karlo, many people don't really know about managing expenses and saving money
even if you save 200-300 rupees per month, you can easily buy games at sales, also don't forget gamepass as an option
second point agar PC acha nahi hai toh indie titles toh waise bhi 200-300 ke milte hai, you can get good quality experience at very cheap

Glad that youtube has recommended your video. Being a 90's kid, this topic has matched with my emotion. I played many pirated games, then I used to pre-order every game when games were cheap and now I just simply wait for 2-3 years for a good deal like 70-80% off on the game as I don't get too much time to play anymore. But yeah, thanks to you for speaking on this topic. subbed. 👍

what i think is that piracy is definitly a bad thing but if cant buy the game then just pirate it and enjoy it, there is no need to justify it saying things like "greedy companies" and stuff. piracy is definitly a wrong thing to do whether its indie game or its AAA game but if its the only option you have then just do it (and this is what most of the pirates probably do, they just dont have the money or dont want to buy the game and there is nothign wrong in that just dont keep justifying it)

I think the best way to experience games on a PC is to buy a game pass, you surely don't want to miss the robust library of 400+ games (EA play + Ubisoft connect included). On top of that, most of the laptop companies are giving you a 3 month game pass upon buying a laptop and I am sure most of you haven't even claimed it yet, so do it right now and Enjoy!!

STALKER Anomaly, which is so popular now because of a video by a youtuber, who goes by the name "OperatorDrewski", is also a fantastic single player game with or without mods. I have been playing it for about 3 years before it became popular, and if you don't have a good PC for gaming, it also has mods on 'moddb' that you can use for performance. Also if you want to play the original games other than this one, the whole series is often on sale for around 500 for 3 games.
This is my first time seeing your channel, but if you can make a video on this and other similar games that are popular in foreign gaming cultures that would be great, as it would introduce my Indian gaming brothers and sisters to games that aren't mainstream but are great games nonetheless. I have a lot more to write on this topic but this comment is already too long.
P.S: I am open to discussions on this in the comments.

Great take on piracy!! For console gamers/PS5 I would like to add that there are similar discounts/sale available time to time just like Steam. So PS5 owners are not out of luck. The game prices are slightly high on PS5 for some games but the experience on playing on the console has been much better on PS5 than PC to me. I buy FPS games on Steam and all other games on PS5, but buy only those games 'that can be pirated'. Pirated games are my permanent backup of games that I bought so that when a greedy company pulls the plug on it, I can still play it. Recently some companies are using Denuvo to prevent piracy, and I am never going to buy those games unless they are at 85 to 90% discount.

Some indie Dev's don't mind piracy, because for them word of mouth has more value . If someone really can't afford a game, pirates it and actually enjoys it they will definitely talk about it. They might convince other people to play the game who could afford and buy indie games.
As Anurag Kashyap said that his films became more popular and appreciated after they were pirated. Art should not be exclusive to only those who can afford it.

I am very passionate about video games since I was as little as 5 years old. fortunately, my parents were supportive and I had the access to PC and Console games (Win 98 PC/PlayStation One) back in days. After graduation I started my first part time job and freelancing, I never ever pirated any games. I always wanted to support this gaming industry and I did. Steam is a great way to buy Cheap games. Now I have more than 500-600 games in my steam library & more than 100 games on PlayStation which I bought over the years. But yes @AryanSahu I am 100% agree with you that those 50-100rs games laid the foundation of Indian gaming.

    Some quick corrections and additions.
Nintendo is mostly after fangames and emulators for their RECENT console aka. Switch, because being able to play these game Day 1 on an emulator meant economic loss for the corporate beasts at Nintendo. Other than that, almost every renowned Emulators for Nintendo are as safe as your day to day Sony or Xbox emulators. It's just, for 3DS and Switch, research is needed in order to download the proper emulator. Everything else is fine.
    Now the addition part.
In my opinion, Piracy transcends the issue of priceyness and even "bad service" (as Gaben said). In some cases, specially for Fangames and Live-Service games, things just.... doesnt exist anymore. In case of that Assassin's Creed incident you faced, Ubishit just decided to take it away from you (and others) specifically. Those games STILL are available to buy. Meaning even by buying the game again, these games can be "Preserved". Yep, that's the keyword.
A few months ago, Ubishit's game "The Crew" completely shutdown for supposed licensing issues. And not only that, the Ownership and Licence of the Owners who bought the game got simply revoked. And there is absolutely NO WAY to play it anymore, since it heavily relied on an always-online server based system. Same happened for another f2p game called "GUNDAM EVOLUTION" and I can keep on going. Even if they were F2P games, people spent time and microtransactions on them, which just got vanished into thin air.
These even apply to single player games, flash games, java games, so on and so forth.
In these cases, I feel like Data Hoarding is the solution for Preservation of such games. Be it Indie or AAA games, I feel like atleast a small, but still, a group of people should pirate these games, and just.. Preserve it. Because in this Digital Day and Age, anything and everything can be snatched away from people, even the ones you own. So if they are atleast preserved in a manner, the future generation can enjoy these gems down the line, instead of these experiences becoming a Lost Media.
Also as an addendum.. Modders and Engineers can actually decompile these games and make them playable again. And that happened for both "The Crew" and "GUNDAM EVOLUTION" with Private Servers, and for that, obviously preserved copies of these games came in help.
And YES! GOG Exists for that! And People should actually buy games from that when possible. But for the ones not available there. I feel like hoarding, pirating, and preserving these games.... seems morally okay to me... Oh I am a Data Hoarder myself, how could you tell? xD
Btw, amazing video! Subbed! Love from 🇧🇩

Regional pricing of Steam is pegged to USD Price Tier of game (via SteamDB) -
    $9.99 = Rs. 480
    $19.99 = Rs. 880
    $29.99 = Rs. 1300
    .
    $59.99 = Rs. 2400
    (and so on)
But you will notice publishers rarely follow this. They will price games 25%-100% MORE expensive than this.
Plus, for games with SAME USD price tier, they can have different Regional Pricing
For same $59.99 USD price tier
    - Alone on Dark = Rs 2400
    - Dead Space Remake = 2999
    - Elden Ring = 3599 (hiked recently from 2499)
    - Ghost Tsushima = 3999
    Why?
Because no one questions them. There is hardly any protest from people outside US for fair and CONSISTENT regional pricing.
(If you are interested, I can discuss more)

Great video G. I was waiting for a fellow brother to bring up the Indian gaming experience growing up. You bring up great points. There is fair reason for piracy to exist in the few ways it does. But there is a clear reason to draw the line when it directly hurts someone. But if it weren't for those pendrive swaps, I wouldn't have discovered so much shit.
In between all this, I will urge all my fellow gamers in the country, to spend a dime for that game. 'Try' to spend money for that experience. Trust me it is worth it. It's sad all the loops we have to jump through to access all the same basic stuff at the convenient level, but it's worth paying for it sometimes. It helps everyone, and every thing. Especially the system that we criticize so much in the game industry. But it does inspire talent and true gems. Anyone that has bought Nier Automata and played through it with the online experience knows what I am talking about. It's the stuff of magic, something only possibly experienced in a video game.

So at the end I subscribed it from India. Also, games in India are cheaper (still Indians chose to pirate games) than in US, which is known for its mature and wealthy gaming public.

Now a days when games are so accessible be it expensive or affordable the amount of torrents has substancially decreased. Mostly because we the generation of late 90s and early 2000s who played with those 50rs pirated cds are now earning. We all know the hassle of torrenting any particular game so we all pay for the game just to skip the hassle of torrenting and save time.
Sometimes torrenting a game creates problems like the fps are capped at 60 when you know your hardware is capable enough to churn out more fps easily.
